I saw Rome a few weeks ago at the Tiki Bar. Dude is for real. He played over an hour of his original material. Not only was his material great you can tell hes really trying. most of y'all are acting like brad was the only member of sublime, he wouldn't be able to sing so great if he wasn't ridin eric's bass lines and bud was an amazing drummer. brad was only 1/3 of sublime. he joined eric and bud's band in the first place. brad is not sublime. yes, he was an amazing singer, but he wasn't the whole band.
Sublime was much more than just 3 members, Bud, Eric and Bradley were the front men, and Bud and Eric are incredible then and still. They had other people play with them as well like Miguel the one who founded Skunk Records, he played some guitar "Jah won't pay the bills" and other albums as well. They also had Jack Maness, Marshall Goodman(Ras MG) and other friends play with them. Bud and Eric never stopped being artist, one of them has a band called Del Mar that is really cool.

I've loved Sublime since I first heard them in 1995 when I was 17 years old. I see how so many true fans are up in arms about the restarting of the band. As much as I want the soul of Bradley Nowell reincarnated in another singer's voice, I have yet to hear it. There is no question that Rome's voice is not as dynamic as Bradley's was. Bradley's way of putting lyrics together and finding melodies for the songs was genius and was the sublime that we all know and love. Brad was the uniqueness in sublime, writing skills, voice, word phrasing, charisma, the intelligence. anyways, i heard the doors are getting back together!

Sublime was much more than just 3 members, Bud, Eric and Bradley were the front men, and Bud and Eric are incredible then and still. They had other people play with them as well like Miguel the one who founded Skunk Records, he played some guitar "Jah won't pay the bills" and other albums as well. They also had Jack Maness, Marshall Goodman(Ras MG) and other friends play with them. Bud and Eric never stopped being artist, one of them has a band called Del Mar that is really cool.

only one problem with your theory. u can find a "smooth bass" or a decent drummer on every street corner. but try to find a brad nowell that can write one of the greatest albums of all time and sing those songs perfectly which isn't easy to do given the genre. nothing against them but let's not get retarded here, they were replaceable like the batteries in your mom's dildo. Brad was truly one of a kind and time has shown there is no equal.

Replaceable? You fool they helped mold the very style that people like about sublime...he even admitted himself that what was so special about sublime was there rhythm section. What the fuck are you talking about name one other bass player out there that plays like Eric Wilson does no one! Eric is a crazy improvising rhythmic basses, and along with Bud's in the pocket drumming it gave Brad the perfect foundation to flourish those amazing vocals you love so much.

FUCK YOU! Brad was not sublime...he was the lead singer of Sublime. You wanna know who was Sublime Eric, Bud and Brad..I'm sick of everyone attributing everything good about sublime to Brad. Brad as a skilled and talented lead singer, but what made sublime, sublime was bud's loose in the pocket drumming style, accompanied by Eric's fast rythymic, melodic bass style. All of which complimented Brad's voice...yeah brad played guitar, but he wasn't that good.

I love Sublime. Plain and simple. Sublime with Bradley was beyond great. Sublime with Rome seems to keep the spirit alive, and I am totally okay with that. If he's cool enough for Eric and Bud, who knew Bradley the best, then he's cool in my book.

Talented kid. Kind of sad they waited until now (12yrs after) to try to save the band. I love sublime. I always will. It will never feel the same no matter how they sugarcoat it. It's not Bradley. He was the rock star. I have mad respect for the other two, but Sublime is finished. Respectfully, rename the band. I agree that you cant reunite the doors, the jimi hendrix experience, nirvana, blind melon, alice in chains, or sublime. Only ac/dc pulled it off i think.

I've loved Sublime since I first heard them in 1995 when I was 17 years old. I see how so many true fans are up in arms about the restarting of the band. As much as I want the soul of Bradley Nowell reincarnated in another singer's voice, I have yet to hear it. There is no question that Rome's voice is not as dynamic as Bradley's was. Just listen to the Sublime cover of Bob Marley's "Hammer" from Palookaville 1995 and compare it to the Rawsessions vids and you'll intstantly know.

yea, he has a good voice and can copy the songs but so can a lot of people. in no way can i close my eyes and pretend this is Bradley Nowell. and why are they writing new songs with him under the sublime name? Bradley's way of putting lyrics together and finding melodies for the songs was genius and was the sublime that we all know and love. Brad was the uniqueness in sublime, writing skills, voice, word phrasing, charisma, the intelligence. anyways, i heard the doors are getting back together!
