Hey TB, I am a sim racer, I am using my xbox Racing wheel on my PC, and the jack on the back of it is being used to give me chat with my x31, The game sound is being handled byu a double ended 3.5mm cable, and it works great., but i am looking to upgrade my wheel, to a pc-only, So i wont be able to plug the mic into the wheel, I would like a very loud headset-. What do reccomend?

@XxIReAcTIxX Not really. You need to buy a talkback cable and a 3.5mm to RCA splitter to connect them, and then you don't get independent chat and game volume control. Really, your best bet for Xbox headsets is to check through our selection of Xbox headsets.

I have the Earforce Z1, and so far its a phenomenal headset, but I know absolutely nothing about this one... Can someone tell me the pros and cons about this headset before I buy it?

What about the mids and highs? How does the headset pick up on those sounds? I'm sorry I'm being a nag about this. I just want more bang for my buck. I apologize. I've had A40's and within a 2 week stint they started to short out. It's happened twice and for the price of those headsets I could have gotten 4 pairs of Z2's 2 times over. I've had my HPX1's for 2 years and my X31's for 3 so you can probably understand why I'm being very OCD about this. I'm a parent so money's always tight.

Oh yeah I was able to turn my X31's into X41's by running my astro mix amp sound wire thru the wireless receiver to produce 5.1/ 7.1 surround sound. It follows the same basic rules of your DSS box minus the bass boost, but the headsets already have a substantial amount of bass so I don't need the button. I have experienced booth stereo and surround sound headsets on my mix amp and there is a difference, but I'm not going to get into that right now. LOL

I heard that the headset cant reproduce bass properly. I plan on using these on my mix amp. My HPX's give off a great sense of immersion with the bass it gives off. Even my X31's,s have a decent resounding bass affect that works out great. Now I'm wondering if these will stand up to the turtle beach standard of what I expect the bass to sound like. I need more info, maybe a review with some one who owns a mix amp. Any additional info would be a major help please.

@amazonqueen I don't know where you've heard that, but it's incorrect. The Z2 has big, deep earcups and huge 50mm drivers. The bass in them will be more than the X31's, especially with an amp.

@TheGirlGamer2 It works on XBOX by connecting the headset mic to the XBOX controller. But you need to connect it to your TV headphone jack. I don't suggest you use this as an XBOX headset because it's not amplified. If you want a headset that works on both, get the X12.

I bought these about 1 month ago, it is broken near the "Quick disconect" conectors. What a stupid invention, the spikes dont transmit the sound through because they are damaged or bent i think. You seriously wasted $110 of my money. How do i fix them?

@firestaradam The X11 is amplified, so its sound will be a little fuller than the Z2. It's also got a bass boost and independent chat and game volume control, which the Z2 does not have. If you want a headset for PC with independent volume controls, have a look at the Z6A, which is a surround sound PC headset.

@youGotslapped100 Built like a tank my ass! The sound quality on these is awesome and the comfort is amazing but there seems to be a notorius issue with their durability. If you fast forward to 0:22 and pause it, take a look at the plastic cyllinder shaped joints at the end of the adjustable strap. Both of them have snapped off on mine just from me adjusting them and ducked tape is all that is left holding them together. I can still hear fine, but they just hang over my head and aren't the same.

@Zzynck YOu cannot use the Z2 on a PS3 with the Amigo. That will only give you chat and no game sound.

The PX21 is PC compatible, so you're better off getting that for PC and PS3 gaming.
