love this song, Powerful message of struggle, Trial and ultimately Triumph!
... " though the road is long, and your battles are hard fought, with no end in sight,
you struggle on through all life's trials. cause its not till you've stood in the eye of the storm, That you realize how strong you really are! and you also come 2 appreciate the little things in life that are usually taken for granted.. ONE LOVE people!
yes this song brings back memory's in a good way i lost someone close to me who will never be forgotten and its people like you out there that puts this music on here that keeps us going.....respect to all
My friend this is the best song I ever heard in 1985, not long after it's release and loved it ever since. Along with Bob Marley, Lee Perry and UB40, Jimmy Cliff is definately one of my favourite reggae artists of all-time and the album from which this song comes from is one of my favourites as well. You talk about losing loved ones as they journey into the after life? Fair enough, no argument there. I on the other hand like to reflect thus far on the journey through life. Cheers
I lost some1 really close 2 me 8years ago and it still hurts....he will always be in my heart and his music will always be with me and i will carry it on as he brought me up on this music...peace and love 2 all of you
who needs a video ,let your mind flow and dream your dream,so many things to so many,if this dont light you fire then you wood is wet,me im blazeing nicely, thankyou for posting this
Reminds of me of the days when growin up in Lautoka Town, Fiji Islands about 23 or 22 years ago. I was 13 or 14 years old, Ithink.!!. Youths in our suburb were into Bob, Peter, Bunny, Toots & of course Jimmy Cliff. I reckon I was hooked and to date still love dis song to pieces. I'll never get weary... JAH bless
JOURNEY ON.. my mate played this on the weekend smoking and drinking wif tha boys and it brought back many memories, so of course had to download it AGAIN.. jah rastafari
Jimmy Cliff one of reggaes greatest artist under Bob Marley of course but yeah all of his songs touch a special time of history for me!!! Teenage years always a time never to forget xoxo B.
I grew up to this song and the album "Reggae Night". Thank you for helping me reliving my childhood. I hope more of those songs will be posted on YouTube in the near future.
Reminds me of my life in South Africa. The Govt banned loads of Jimmy's and others songs. But we still got them somehow. Durban Poison and Reggae in Chatsworth what a MIX man!!
