@jesse10022 Awesome see now you're sharing your opinion just like me and inception ranks in like the top 40 of past ten year for me not that high. Black swan however i thought was amazing not to say inception was not. And the best film of past 10 years is requiem for a dream by a longshot anyway.
@Blckhawk31011 That's insulting. Unless you meant it backwards. Then I'm fine with it. There is no way in ZUES'S BUTT HOLE that kick ass is better than inception unless your unintelligent or insane.
@jesse10022 or had a lot more fun with kick ass and thought it was the zaniest, fun film of the year thats not an order of how good they are if i were to just rank them based on how good they were my top 3 of the year would be:
@Blckhawk31011 I would not put 127 hours even close to Inception, that movie was boring and horrible actually. Black Swan is close but I wouldn't say it would be better than Inception, not CLOSE.
I was watching this video and the time on the video was at 9:38...and it was 9:38 at night. What a Ka-wence-a-dence (don't know how to spell that word).
I didn't like Scott Pilgrim vs the World. I thought the action was dumb and the premise was incredibly stupid. I know it's based from a comic, but it was just too ridiculous for me
here is my list of best films of 2010: 10) Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland 9) Inception 8) Toy Story 3 7) Despicable Me 6) Green Zone 5) The Social Network 4) How To Train Your Dragon 3) Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 1 2) Legend Of The Guardians: The Owls Of Ga'hoole 1) Tron: Legacy Those are my top 10 favorite films of 2010!!!
your nuts, 8 of your movies wouldnt come in the top 20.. there are loads and loads of movies alot better, expendables, shutter island, book of eli, harry potter if your into that or twilight, jason statom had a movie out, 2012, loads
I'm a BAD critic, because I don't understand why The Town is soo popular. I think it's overrated. It was good sure, but not that good. The story was too predictable. I watched it with my parents and we all knew everything. But it was pretty good for a cop movie.
@Hootshot112 I don't think you're a bad critic. I did like the Town, but I see where you're coming from. It was a lot like most cops and robbers flicks out there. I think most people liked it because of Jeremy Renner's performance and the fact that this was Ben Affleck's best movie in a while.
Geez, can't believe no one has How to Train Your Dragon as their top ten :/
Anyways, I thought Inception was great too, but it kinda bugged me that they made the dream world way too similar to the awake one. Weird things happen in dreams all the time, the same within lucid dreams. Like, it'd been completely normal if a giant blob monster suddenly popped up in your way, screamed like Tarzan while shooting flying pigs out of it's mouth. Yeah.. a movie like that would probably sck...
BAH! I trust you guys as far as movie reviews go above anyone else but I have to say I'm shocked you would put "The Town" above kick-ass and others. I've never seen anything like kick-ass before and I thought The Town was fairly MEH.
@CFrostyTheSnowman are you kidding? lol kick ass borrowed soo much from other super hero movies...a lot of original content..but i mean, it had spiderman all over it
@TimbucktwofilmsRoman Spider man has real super powers of super strength sticky fingers the ability to climb up walls unaided jump and swing huge distances. Kickass had none of those. Spider man also did not have an awesome little girl that tears people up. In my opinion the film spider man and the film kick-ass were not very alike at all.
@TimbucktwofilmsRoman Except for the narration of the hero himself. But if thats your argument for kick-ass being below "The Town" I would argue that there have been more movies like The Town in history than kick-ass
I'm kinda surprised Let Me In didn't make the list.....
actually I'll be honest I don't remember if you guys even reviewed that film or not....
Good picks, I still need to check out the Social Network though. The whole reason I avoided it was because I couldn't fathom a movie about facebook being interesting lol.
Good vid guys, glads to see you're getting more hits too, you deserve them, and keep those reviews comin!
ah man , i dont have add or anything but , shit , me and 3 other peeps i knows thought inception was like matrix,,,, like ,, wtf is goin on,, Eh ,, give me some adderall
great list!...I'm guessing y'all didn't see The King's Speech?
Inception was the best film of the year. Fusing a fictional invention/technology (dreamsharing) with powerful (and pertinent!) visual effects so adeptly makes Inception a groundbreaking film in the scifi genre imho.
Hey, hard to go wrong in a year with films like TOY STORY 3 & INCEPTION easily making the Top Five on just about every list. Be interesting to see how either does when the awards are handed out. Great list and I don't think I can argue with any of your choices.
Scott pilgrim vs the world is the most underrated movies ever! I don' t understand why if failed so miserably at the box office! I really blame the the marketing Team, Everyone who saw it says the love it. This movie should have been a mega hit. I got it on BluRay, but I dont even remember seeing any ads for it, and rarely saw any when it was in theaters.
@themoviesdudes I could see where that would be confusing, I was actually talking about the lead who is British. Sometimes I speak too fast, I'm working on it for 2011! It should have sounded like this: I also thought the lead, the British kid was great, doing an American accent....etc!"
@animegirl506 I think he forgot about it, the same way I forgot about putting Cop Out in my WORST list. I think he would have it in his bottom 5 though, I might be wrong.
@PrototypeAndroid Don't tell him he is an actor, that is all I need for his head to blow up. Guy does two Carfax commercials and thinks he is Topher Grace!
Totally agree with u. There is no doubt in my mind that Inception was the best movie of 2010. Like u said, I too was excited about the film before the hype and man was I right about this one :D Great list you guys!
I think you both rated The Town a bit too high, and True Grit probably shouldn't have been that high (I think it was just brand new and you remembered it more), but it was understandable. I'm glad you didn't include Tron, but INCREDIBLY PISSED that Ellis (sp?) didn't put Black Swan. WTF? DUDE! Definitely my number 1! But it's all just opinion. I think Inception was #2 though. Good picks guys and thanks for a good review year! 2010 turned around!
@TheBDub1234567 He didn't like Black Swan! I am shocked he didn't put Somewhere in there, he fought over it, and we are lucky Twilight wasn't in there.
@PrototypeAndroid Not taking offense to it at all, you are right-this is all about conversation of opinions. I was just wondering if you compared Dreamscape, it is a very dated movie now but it is about entering dreams. Thank you for posting your opinion!
I agree with inception being the best movie. I saw the midnight showing and then again in that same day. overall i saw it 6 times in theaters lol. But what about the kings speech guys? that would be in my top 3 with black swan and inception
I have to agree with you both. Inception was unlike any movie i have ever seen, and was full of great performances. Not a single thing wrong with the movie in my opinion. Nolan + DiCaprio= Genius
I think if you put Mark's 10-5 with Kristian's Top 5 then you would have my list. I was also surprised that Mark didn't mention "The Social Network". I thought it was more worthy than Tangled.
The social Network had a cheesy script. " He didn't lie to our face, he lied to our emails ". It gives me the chills just to remember of how much cheese it had.
Damn, maybe Lucas had aquired dream share technology trying to trick us into seeing the 3D re re re re releases, give me the kick, great list gentlemen
@cls7283 Thank you very much, I think Lucas used the technology on me when I saw Phantom Menace in the theater way more than I should have (1 was too much)
I was with both of you until your #1...Chris Nolan is a genius and the film definitely belongs in the Top 10, but all the lead actors in that film have done MUCH better work. To me, if the actors aren't doing their best work, it's not a #1. Blah blah...whaa whaa...anyway, Happy New Year, Schmoes! <3
@schmoesknow yes ! because i put it after black swan, toy story3 ,and inception for #1 aaaannd i just finished watching blue-ray inception and I loved it even more lol
Lol agree with you Christian! Inception was my 1# and I also had a dream not Star Wars but I had a dream about going into the dream and we used that inception gizmo case and was in a dream with Ridley Scott's camera movements and other crazy stuff. Best dream of December. :3
I have to agree that inception was the best this year, hp7 was really good. it seemed like they put a lot of effort into filming part one and two over the course of 2009-early 2010.
I haven't seen many new movies this year, but from the ones I have seen I also thought Inception was a great movie. I recently watched Tron: Legacy, and while I thought the graphics were amazing, the storyline was a little disappointing. What did you think of it?
My favorite movie of this year was also Inception. It has made it onto me Top 3 Favorite Movie List (and I only have 3 Favorite movies though I am a Terminator fan and like Star Wars).
@jashykins It was really a great film and I think the hype has made some people turn away but honestly I thought it was one of the most brilliant films I have seen in a very long time. Curious, did you like ALL of the Terminators or just 1 & 2?
@schmoesknow I liked all of them, but my FAVORITE is Terminator 2: Judgment Day. That was an awesome movie....and it doesn't have anything to do with the fact that Edward Furlong is freggin hot....
uk release dates. 10.the town 9.scott pilgrim vs the world 8.tron legacy 7.the social network 6.toy story 3 5.the lovely bones 4.bad lieutenant 3.kick-ass 2.shutter island 1.inception
I really feel like Tron Legacy should have been up there. I mean I'm not saying it should be one of the top 3 or anything, but still it was very different then any other movie that came out this year and with the visuals and the score I just feel like it deserves a little more credit. But hey, thats just me
Great list! I think... I haven't gotten the chance to see half of those movies, but they all sound great, I can't wait to have the chance to watch 'em all.
INCEPTION would've been a good movie, IF the MATRIX hadn't been made two decades ago. It's a TOTAL rip off! Sorry, i can't award points for a lesser version (even if the Matrix sequels sucked!)
@schmoesknow Of course you disagree....you probably thought Avatar wasnt a rip off of Pocahontas either. Am i right? it's like, True Grit 2010 can be a great film all the way around, but that doesnt gloss over the truth, these 'film-makers' are taking the easy way out by adapting sh*t that's already been adapted, and successfully. arent you getting TIRED of unoriginality? how would it be if hollywood actually worked for a living instead of trying to breathe life into corpses? just sayin!
@jeremyfinch Actually I thought Avatar was a mixture of Pocahontas, Dancing with Wolves, Ferngully... I said it in my review but the original Star Wars was a mixture of Seven Samurai amongst other things. Movies borrow, happens all the time. That being said, I think you make more of a point with Avatar than you do Inception. I don't see much similarities with the two with the exception of the alternate state. Rules are different, characters are well aware of their surroundings.
Like the list boys! However, I hated Scott Pilgrim. I really wanted to like it, I really did, but after the first 30 minutes I was just annoyed. But that's what makes the world go round, right?? OPINIONS!! YAAAYYY!!
@TheAdamHarrington Yup, that is why we started this channel Mr. H, who the hell is to say our opinion is better than yours? But that being said, loved Pilgrim, thought the style was unique and refreshing especially at the time in the summer when it came out. Your list is very very nice
Like the list boys! However, I hated Scott Pilgrim. I really wanted to like it, I really did, but after the first 30 minutes I was just annoyed. But that's what makes the world go round, right?? OPINIONS!! YAAAYYY!!
Great List guys! Inception was definitely the best, it has everything, a brilliant original plot, good script, perfect acting, a great score and amazing scenes in the dreamworld!
@schmoesknow Well, i didn't expect what happened to the girl and the way bridges story ended seemed like they were rushing to an end. I was sad with what happened to little blacky. My cat's named blacky!
My number one movie of the year was definitley, without a doubt, Toy Story 3! I just thought that the animation was beautiful and the storyline was really good and I have never been able to say that I have cried at a CGI movie before but now i can.
I don't have a top ten list but I can tell you that my second favourite film of the year was actually a little indie film called Monsters. It was apparantly made on about 15 grand and is just fantastic so give it a go. You wont be disapointed!
@MattEarlPhelps Thanks Matt, he forgot to mention he was debating with Yoda at the table what the biggest disappointment of the year was, The Last Airbender or The Washington Redskins.
My 2010 list is completely different to Americans cause we've not had any of those movies out yet!!! Grrr. Totally looking forward to 127 Hours. Really wanna see Black Swan too!!! My 2010 list will be up in a couple of days :-)
Inception - Epic action?? oh come on, Nolan notoriously cant shoot action, obnly the no gravity hallway scene looked good action wise. The rest of the action is amateurish at best.
@schmoesknow yeah well as you can see it still squeeked in my top 10 despite me not being a fan of Nolans action style, the film was good enough to oversome that shortcoming just like his Batman Begins was.
Ok fellas, here is mine 1. Toy Story 3 2. Kickass 3. The American 4. The Social Network 5. Black Swan 6. The Ghost Writer 7. Cemetary Junction 8. How To Train Your Dragon 9. Shutter Island 10. Inception
@schmoesknow yeah Pilgrim is in my next 5 along with buried and devil, the town and edge of darkness. I dont recall you guys reviewing Buried, not seen it?
The Karate Kid ~ Friggin' loved it. The elitists can go to hell.
How to Train Your Dragon ~ By far the best film DreamWorks Animation has ever made—and yes, that includes all the Shrek's.
Aftershock ~ The highest-grossing domestic Chinese film of all time—and it deserved every penny. Do yourself a favor and go watch this film, NOW. Bring a box of tissues. Watch it with your family if you can (the more estranged, the better).
@VictimOfBoredom I will say this, I was one of the purist that refused to see The Karate Kid in the theater and I almost couldn't bring myself to watch it on blu ray BUT I did see it and I will say that it is a good film, there was a lot of respect paid to the original and it wasn't campy as I thought it would be. All that said, wasn't in my top 10 though. I will check out Aftershock!
First off, these are some of the 2010 films I've yet to see: - Inception - Tron - Harry Potter 7 - Tangled - Despicable Me - Social Network - Toy Story 3 - Scott Pilgrim That said, these are all the 2010 movies I've seen. Crap: The Expendables ~ What is this—1991? Enthiran ~ Second-highest grossing Indian film of all time, and it makes Titanic look like Citizen Kane. Iron Man 2 ~ Haven't even seen the first one. -_- Anyway, soulless as fuck. Robin Hood ~ Not bad, but forgettable.
10. Scott Pilgrim 9. Predators 8. Harry Potter 7 7. The Ghost Writer 6. The Town 5. True Grit 4. The Social Network 3. The Fighter 2. Toy Story 3 1. Inception Note: I haven't seen Black Swan or 127 Hours
@jesse10022 Awesome see now you're sharing your opinion just like me and inception ranks in like the top 40 of past ten year for me not that high. Black swan however i thought was amazing not to say inception was not. And the best film of past 10 years is requiem for a dream by a longshot anyway.

I'm a BAD critic, because I don't understand why The Town is soo popular. I think it's overrated. It was good sure, but not that good. The story was too predictable. I watched it with my parents and we all knew everything. But it was pretty good for a cop movie.

schmoesknow 1 year ago
Lol agree with you Christian! Inception was my 1# and I also had a dream not Star Wars but I had a dream about going into the dream and we used that inception gizmo case and was in a dream with Ridley Scott's camera movements and other crazy stuff. Best dream of December. :3
DjHamHam411 1 year ago
I have to agree that inception was the best this year, hp7 was really good. it seemed like they put a lot of effort into filming part one and two over the course of 2009-early 2010.
JMBPR0DUCTI0N 1 year ago
@JMBPR0DUCTI0N I think we have to judge it as one big film, could be in the 2011 list.

@schmoesknow Agreed.
JMBPR0DUCTI0N 1 year ago
I haven't seen many new movies this year, but from the ones I have seen I also thought Inception was a great movie. I recently watched Tron: Legacy, and while I thought the graphics were amazing, the storyline was a little disappointing. What did you think of it?
howaboutdemonlove 1 year ago
My favorite movie of this year was also Inception. It has made it onto me Top 3 Favorite Movie List (and I only have 3 Favorite movies though I am a Terminator fan and like Star Wars).
jashykins 1 year ago
@jashykins It was really a great film and I think the hype has made some people turn away but honestly I thought it was one of the most brilliant films I have seen in a very long time. Curious, did you like ALL of the Terminators or just 1 & 2?
schmoesknow 1 year ago 2
@schmoesknow
I like them all. Favorites being T2 and T4.
jashykins 1 year ago
@schmoesknow I liked all of them, but my FAVORITE is Terminator 2: Judgment Day. That was an awesome movie....and it doesn't have anything to do with the fact that Edward Furlong is freggin hot....

Now could you do the top 10 disappointing films of 2010?
I just want to know what you guys hated this year.

@shikavic It shall be done, we shot it already, it should be up on the channel today. Make sure you comment on it what it is up!
schmoesknow 1 year ago
I really feel like Tron Legacy should have been up there. I mean I'm not saying it should be one of the top 3 or anything, but still it was very different then any other movie that came out this year and with the visuals and the score I just feel like it deserves a little more credit. But hey, thats just me
kibblesays 1 year ago
@kibblesays Tron was a good movie for sure, loved the visuals but for me I didn't feel the story was that great. I enjoyed it though for sure.

The Matrix wasn't NEARLY as good as Inception, have you even seen Inception? The trailers make it seem similar but they're completely different!
SebortheBeast 1 year ago
@SebortheBeast I agree with you!
schmoesknow 1 year ago
INCEPTION would've been a good movie, IF the MATRIX hadn't been made two decades ago. It's a TOTAL rip off! Sorry, i can't award points for a lesser version (even if the Matrix sequels sucked!)
jeremyfinch 1 year ago
@jeremyfinch Have to disagree with you here Jeremy, I think they are very different movies
schmoesknow 1 year ago
@schmoesknow Of course you disagree....you probably thought Avatar wasnt a rip off of Pocahontas either. Am i right? it's like, True Grit 2010 can be a great film all the way around, but that doesnt gloss over the truth, these 'film-makers' are taking the easy way out by adapting sh*t that's already been adapted, and successfully. arent you getting TIRED of unoriginality? how would it be if hollywood actually worked for a living instead of trying to breathe life into corpses? just sayin!
jeremyfinch 1 year ago

OPINIONS!! YAAAYYY!!
My top 5 (in no order):
Toy Story 3
Inception
Social Network
The Town
The Fighter
I love you.

@TheAdamHarrington Yup, that is why we started this channel Mr. H, who the hell is to say our opinion is better than yours? But that being said, loved Pilgrim, thought the style was unique and refreshing especially at the time in the summer when it came out. Your list is very very nice

@ErikTheRedd1 Better or worse than you anticipated?

@schmoesknow Well, i didn't expect what happened to the girl and the way bridges story ended seemed like they were rushing to an end. I was sad with what happened to little blacky. My cat's named blacky!

did you guys not see buried?
juliuswhiteman 1 year ago
@juliuswhiteman No we didn't actually, just put it on NetFlix
schmoesknow 1 year ago
@schmoesknow cool. it doesn't really rate highly next to inception and toy story, but i reckon it definatley deserves a place in the top 10 :)
unfortunatley being stuck in the UK means i'm yet to see 127 hours so i can't say if buried is the best claustrophoebic survival drama of the year...

You wont be disapointed!
huntjo1 1 year ago
@huntjo1 Monsters is on my list of seeing, I have heard good things.

Inception - Epic action?? oh come on, Nolan notoriously cant shoot action, obnly the no gravity hallway scene looked good action wise. The rest of the action is amateurish at best.
13evilpriest13 1 year ago
@13evilpriest13 I wouldn't say the action in Inception was epic but the movie as a whole, to me, sure was.
schmoesknow 1 year ago
@schmoesknow yeah well as you can see it still squeeked in my top 10 despite me not being a fan of Nolans action style, the film was good enough to oversome that shortcoming just like his Batman Begins was.

@13evilpriest13 How to Train Your Dragon almost replaced Scott Pilgrim for me, top film for sure.

schmoesknow 1 year ago
The Karate Kid ~ Friggin' loved it. The elitists can go to hell.
How to Train Your Dragon ~ By far the best film DreamWorks Animation has ever made—and yes, that includes all the Shrek's.
Aftershock ~ The highest-grossing domestic Chinese film of all time—and it deserved every penny. Do yourself a favor and go watch this film, NOW. Bring a box of tissues. Watch it with your family if you can (the more estranged, the better).
VictimOfBoredom 1 year ago
@VictimOfBoredom I will say this, I was one of the purist that refused to see The Karate Kid in the theater and I almost couldn't bring myself to watch it on blu ray BUT I did see it and I will say that it is a good film, there was a lot of respect paid to the original and it wasn't campy as I thought it would be. All that said, wasn't in my top 10 though. I will check out Aftershock!
