nice build. I think i might try some archery. I find it funny how one's character still misses when the target is either right next to you or paralyzed.
Just did Arcane Warrior as mage on Nightmare, all bosses. Really really easy tbh. If you really want a challenge, I'd advise skipping Arcane Warrior. :-P
I'm surprised no one asked this before, but what's your build? I'm interesting in STR, DEX and CUN values, notable talents and so forth. I'm guessing you'll be going ranger/duelist. Also, how is it your attacks rarely miss? Do you have the hotfix?
I rushed to 30 dex to get the max out of rapid shot. Cun and Str are kept to a minimum in favor of con. I will however need to push str later for some good armor.
Talent wise I skilled the Scattershot-, stealth- and ranger line as far as possible.
I did install the hotfix at some point yes, i'm not sure if it is already installed in this video tho. If you can flank enemies you will very rarely miss since it adds a lot of attack rating.
And while not flanking I do miss quite a lot in fact.
Whenever you are located in within 60 degrees (120 with combat movement) of a character's back, you receives a Flanking Bonus (shown as the dark part of the circle around the feet of your enemies). The magnitude of the bonus is directly related to the relative position of the target. Directly behind the target will net you +15 Attack rating. The flanking bonus is proportionally reduced the more the attacker moves towards the side of their target.
almost the same as dualist, im using double sword at the mo.. but i realised another item wit different attributes for more critical attack wit ranged weapon is required.. so far i only found one n its heavy armor, i just let Lelliana equip it
1/5th of the flanking bonus is also applied to your crit chance.
A full flanking bonus of +15 (with combate movement its even +20) to attack negates the equivalent of 15 points of Dexterify spent by the target to increase defense - that's 5 full levels!
To put it into relation:
My rogue has around 25 Attack rating and 6% crit. So a perfect position in combat will increase my Attack rating by 60% and almost double my crit chance. However, its not easy to flank when you play solo :).
True I always have Alistair or Shale to Taunt my enemies, thx for the replies =D i'll apply ur tips next playthru ive never used sufficient tactics unless i play as a mage
Bah i got a couple things wrong here after looking it up. The flaking angle is 120 degrees without combat movement and 180 with combat movement. And 1/5th of 15 is 3 not 5 :P So it will boost my crit by 50% which is rarely noticeable since Rapid Fire is so strong with 30 dex.
I didn't mention it, but backstab obviously doesnt work with ranged as well :)
dirty fighting--plants trap--dog--runs over trap and gets stuck--guy shoots dog--guys says "This is not fair." LOL

a rogue can specialize to a ranger ( buy a book from the dwarf in your camp). It can summon a wolf , a bear or a spider

Could you just scroll through your character and talents screen in the next video? I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate it. Great work!

sure, will do so :)

good stuff, can we do extra damage as an archer if we attack from behind?..
Indov3rs 2 years ago
Yes we do in fact. Here is how it how it works:
Whenever you are located in within 60 degrees (120 with combat movement) of a character's back, you receives a Flanking Bonus (shown as the dark part of the circle around the feet of your enemies). The magnitude of the bonus is directly related to the relative position of the target. Directly behind the target will net you +15 Attack rating.
