Para mi esta canción tiene la melodía más bonita de todas canciones de Génesis, es preciosa. El directo en Roma hace la mejor versión del tema....un 10 genial.

can never get into this version of Ripples so i don't even bother to listen. There was no reason to cut it - bad decision by whoever called it. It has to be the whole song, you gotta relax and get into all the music, not rush it along - especially this song

It amazes me how much bitchin' is going on in here. Genesis was, is, and will always be awesome. Phil is 62 yrs old. He was 57 when he performed this song, why don't some of you be thankful for the gift of his timeless music that he gave us.

Ma inutile sperarci, giravano voci di un eventuale reunion già qualche anno fa, ma sono state smentite sia da Phil Collins sia da Peter Gabriel, in più sembrerebbe che Phil non sia più in grado di suonare la batteria come un tempo a causa di un problema alla mano. Mettiamoci l'anima in pace! Però si scrive moonLIT knight! :)

@TheOmanJam: Genesis has been playing medleys on tour since the 1980s. As a purist I hate not having the second "verse" of the instrumental, but really, does the crowd really care or feel ripped off? Yes, the band is dead, mainly because Phil's spine or something is dead. Yet, through this performance I choose to eulogize, sad at an era's passing, and choose not be upset about trivial matters.

@bassidol I do agree with you, the solo section (the half of it we get is superb. Yet there is this element of being shortchanged that is so annoying, since it is so good, playing only half of it is inexcusable - the missing 2nd half was even better. I would like also to note that it is the session guys, Daryl and Chester who carry the bulk of the power in this song!

The 2007 tour had too many edited songs. If they want to do the In the cage medley that they have been doing forever, ok. but to cut out the best part of Ripples, edit Mama, edit tonight, tonight, tonight, and play only 2 minutes of Duke's Travels in the Medley is unfair. If they want to edit something, it should be No son of mine, I can't dance, hold on my Heart or Throwing it all Away, instead of Firth of Fifth

What a bunch of shortchanging wankers they are, not playing the 2nd half of the Ripples middle solo. Keep it short for the dumbeed down masses.

They are a dead band. Forget it, just watch them in 1978 and 1980 for the real Ripples.

Also, some of ithe background sounds a bit sampled from the album.

Many great momories from the 70's eatin' shrooms in the Santa Cruz mountains going holy crap people will remember this song (and most of Genesis) in a hundred years.It's in B love playin this on the 12er and then the into the Hackett solo.

such an amazing band. its a shame so much talent was around all at the same time and were left with the music thats being played today. bands like genesis would sell out stadiums nowadays bands of today need 10 bands to sell half of a stadium. whats happened.
