Dude, you got the beat all wrong, dave hits the high hat at half notes instead of quarter notes like youre doing, then he kicks the bass drum doing a double kick (not double kick pedal) but a duble kick towards th end of every riff, you have it al wrong man.

This isn't about trying to look cool (that would be all you posers out there) or having a huge set of drums to confuse a potential new drummer who watches the videos. He also gives it in piecemeal sizes - making it easier to pick up the lessons. If he simply wanted to play the entire song with the whole drumset and hit every cymbal then I'm pretty sure he could do it with ease.
