i voted for Obama. I support him because he is my president and that what a good American does. You've got to realize that he probably did what he did, completely unprepared. It's easier to come up with perfect responses and pick away at things on the Internet, because we don't need immediate responses, and we can afford the luxury of delaying.
In real life, it would be ridiculous for McCain to not answer directly, and he can't have had enough time to cover all his exits, so to speak.

If he wanted everyone to be respectful, he could've started with himself. Instead, he ran a propaganda campaign, practically demonizing Obama. Ironically, back in 2000, McCain supposedly complained about Bush's "negative campaigning" against him, and from what I've heard he was referring to Bush ads pointing to McCain's ties to lobbyists to suggest that he wasn't sincere about getting rid of special interests. And yet in 2008, he ran a campaign that was far worse.
