Very smart mod! Helpful if you have access to the equipment, but expensive if you have to buy it all. I was wondering if you still use the drill controller on the new motor and 3 SLA's? That would save buying the $40 speed controller.
Have you noticed any motor damage overvolting overtime? I would like to run the scooter a few years if I'm putting money into it. a 24v motor can withstand 36v safely but it's extra strain over time...is that why you also bought a new motor?
@LouDog27 It would cost about 150 easily if you wanted to buy everything; scooter not included. I still have the three solid lead acid batteries and now i have another two lol. But I havent played with the scooter in a while and so the batteries are not in good shape. They lose their charge a little bit faster and it just doesnt pack the same punch as it did before. I wouldnt buy all these things just to make it faster. Try finding a used Razor MX650 bike and you can make it go over 25 mph.
It will because it would have more torque and strength, but I dont think it's going to be that much faster than the stock motor. If I were you, I would save the money and buy a gas scooter. they go up to 40 mph.
I belive so, dkwildy123. I now have three twelve volt sealed lead acid batteries. They hold the voltage for a longer time. and I also installed a newer motor, but it's the same as the old one. a 200 watt 24 volt motor, just running at 36 volts. It has a lot more torque though, and seems like it goes three of four mph faster.
I'm now running an MX650 on five 7ah batteries. I tried 12ah but they blew the ESC. The stock ESC can handle 60v quite nicely.
Top speed 24mph. Not as crazy as a real MX bike, but it's still super fun! Better than what I had 6months ago.
My e300 is running 2 motors! It's a torque machine!

@cannon8800 And yes the motor is still running strong. I bet i could run 48, and maybe even 56 volts on it but it would die more quickly
cannon8800 1 year ago
the motor on it is about 200 or 250 watts, so if i put a 350 watt motor on it with every thing else stock, would it go any faster?

I recently ordered my third lead-acid battery, and charger. So as soon as I get it I will be doing some more speed runs.
