good review...as for the ending...i don't think it's left that open...I think they just didn't want to have a cheesy "people waiting in an ambulance with a hot cup of coco explaining the situation to the cops" moment...

God this movie sucked. The woman was bitchy, the guy was boring and wooden. Very predictable all the way through. None of the actors did a good job, the ending was abismal. The 2 main characters were really slow and stupid. I didn't feel attached to either of them. The banging at the beginning was good, that created an atmosphere of tension and I thought he villains would be mysterious and supernatural but no, they were basic thugs. A joke of a movie. 2/5

I know my reply is major late. But I love this movie. I've watched it 20+x already, everytime it's on TV i tune it. Not a long movie but very good. It's hard to find decent horror movies now days that deliver but this most did that and then some.

i thought it was a smart horror-like film, because usually the protagonist just run and do not use there wits, mean while luke wilsons character actually thought things out,

i thought the ending was good. not like the usual modern movies where all the lead charecters get killed off at the end or theres a riduculous twist that doesnt make any sense. so 4 that reason i think it was good (a nice happy ending 4a change!)

I´m all for female empowerment, but I found Kate Beckinsale´s Rambo transformation a little hard to believe. Up until very late in the film, and after she stops being a bitch, she´s usually wimpering in a corner. In fact, she doesn´t seem to be able to do anything but follow her husband around.

And yes, I understand that it´s all about juxtaposition. If she wasn´t fragile at first, her later transformation wouldn´t be as evident. But Rambo?! Survival instincts only go so far...

anyways, no, you're wrong. Vancancy was aight, but seriously the ending was just awful. Based on that, I'd give it a 2 because what was the point of the film? What am i suposed to walk out of the theater with?

I dislike "jump" scares. I hate it when the fikmakers feel that they have to jump out and say "boo!" to the audience in order to get them to consider the film "scary". I dunno. I have a suspicion that I will predict alot of things before they happen here as well if and when I watch it. Just a feeling ;)

I thought that Kate was going to be a bitch in the movie. I wasn't so sure if I wanted to see the movie because it seemed like another throw away horror film. I'm glad there isn't that much gore because there does seem to be a lot of that in horror movies today.
