Should be a little more "umph" in the dance, bellydance is an exotic dance with a LOT of "umph". But i think the dance is very nice though. Just remember the umph ;)

I dance many styles, but to this ddance I am choosing to express soft and very sad movements because it is a very sad love song. I don't want to do dancing with umph.. because that should be for passionate happy songs not SAD song. :-) maybe it makes sense... see other videos for umph like raks sharki or tabla solo dance of mine..:-)

hey thanks. i choose to portray the emotion of the song, ie it is a sad love song, so anything to speedy and packed with choreography is not my choice of music interpretation... I used to cry when i heard this song... so, I am dancing sadly... :-( he he - see the lyrics in the panel ..

I think she need some work on her presentation. Lazy arms, and she looks half asleep and bored. However, I really appreciate seeing a dancer who is working from the core and standing in place. I'm so tired of watching dancers spinning and bouncing around and they never stand still so you can see them dance.

Hi Normadancer2, thank you for comment. This song is a sad love song and wouldn't look right if I am smiling and happy or moving quickly, as the song is crying about lost love. Mostly when I dance I choose to use to emphasize one area of the body. If we do hips, don't move too many other areas otherwise it becomes distracting and your audience doesn't see the special hip movements. But thank you for your interest. have a nice day.

i dont agree normadancer, i have seen ishtar dance live and i find her arms stunning. the video looses some of the detail in her hands (as shes far away from the camera). check out other postings of her and you will see she has a great range of movement in her arms. also the camera doesnt show the emotion in her face which makes you think shes bored.
