I am a Hong Kong-er. One day afternoon, I watched Harold Lyord films on TV(Chinese Channel of HK) when I was about 13. After that, my brothers and I sat in front of the TV to wait for the shows every Saturday. All are great and I love them all.
i to remember the days when harold lloyd was on bbc2 at 5-40pm. laurel and hard was shown 1st at this time but once they had showed them all they moved onto harold.i never missed a night with these great comedys.these actors are the best and no one will ever replace them.theyve had me in stitches time and time again.
Late 70's / early 80's BBC2 used to show Harold Lloyd films at around 5:30pm weekdays.
I loved watching them (was probably around 12 year old) and fitted in perfectly with my dad coming back from work, the meal being ready and the 6 o'clock news coming on.
The shows would also be 'repeated'/reshown during the afternoons.
what's interesting here is the traffic feeling it's way through the intersection in the background. A nice view of a less controlled past. There must have been no street lights or stopsigns.
This is so neat to watch as the way it should be watched. Most of the dvd's I have of Harold Lloyd run way to fast and none I don't think are all true to the original silents. Good work on the clip. I rated this as awesome and put it on my favorites list.
I like your video clip and have rated it as awesome. Please check out my clip of silent movie star tobacco cards. They include: Harold Lloyd, Charlie Chaplin, Rudolph Valentino, Mary Pickford, Lillian Gish, Tom Mix, Jackie Coogan and many more.
