hi there, i have a quick question...my microphone works on audacity, but the problem is that even when the volumes for input and output are turned up high and i'm speaking right into the mic, it barely shows the frequency of my audio, so i'd have to amplify it extremely high just to get a normal sounding audio. can you please help!?

Well, is it possible that there's something wrong with the mic? Does it work ok with other things?
Another possibility is that there's some other volume control for your mic's input, like in your sound card options, for example.
