[idk how i got here cuz i'm a str8 F.] anyway, i think a lot of ppl try to make your life miserable, not becuz they hate gays, but bcuz they r jerks who like to bully. they wd bully anyone for any reason- color, clothes, religion, weight, height, hair-what ever. they will pick on anything cuz, at the core, they're just stupid jerks
I have Asperger's or mild autism and I'm gay. Things would have been a lot easier if my older brother wasn't such a dick too. Family really needs to take care of family and some people don't understand that. Eventually things got so bad I just avoided him for years and years. Eventually we came to getting along again when he had kids. Family begged me to spend time with him (in my avoiding time) but I knew that no good came from being around him. Some people are toxic. Some people are poison.
I'm just two years younger than you, grew up in Maryland and lived thru a living hell in school being teased, beat up, called every name in the book because I was gay. It only got better for me after we moved to the west coast. The teasing stopped and I was able to begin the healing process. However, the emotional effects of that time have stayed with me for a life time and I still battle with low self esteem from time to time. Bullying in school or out, should be considered a serious crime
