  • Kramnik: King of the double-chin effect

  • karpov is a loyal communist. I prefer freedom fighters like Kasparov

  • Karpov is my favorite chess players of all times!

  • It`s silly to compare Carlsen`s and Nakamura`s speed with Karpov. He is 60 years old. I am more than positive that none of todays top GMs will play as good as karpov or Kasparov once they reach 45+.... That`s simply because todays GMs are far less ceative and far far more into memorising the openings and lines. I am not saying that`s wrong, it`s just a new age. Btw, no one played as fast as Capablanka :)))

  • Karpov belongs to another time, but he will always be a giant and a beloved player!

  • karpov is getting gradually slower and slower at maiking his moves, while carlsen is absolutly tremendously fast! nearly instantly (as well as nakumara specially in the opening, but even faster towards the endgame) Karpov defenetly belongs to the traditional chess players

  • Watching Karpov calculate his moves is like watching a child using their fingers to add. The older you get, the slower the brain power :0)

  • Kramnik was in prison? are you joking ha ha

  • @babykevinxoxo Kramnik wasn't really in prison, awe3774 was making a joke about his striped top.

  • @SquirrellOFC his shirt is ugly

  • @babykevinxoxo Ok....

  • girls love to watch chess

  • which pieces were used?

  • @GamedFreak DGT timeless is the pieces. They are widely used in GM tournaments.

  • @ravras do they belong to the tournament director?

  • @GamedFreak idk but usually the tournament officials must provide them:D

  • @ravras You must be really good at chess?

  • @GamedFreak I am a huge fanatic of Chess and i keep updated on it and i try to play well. If u interested, we can battle it out on a friendly ground.

  • @ravras Sure!!! I would love to play chess with you, with anyone really. Would you like to play a correspondence game here, in the comments section of this video or another video? Or, would you like you play a timed game on a chess website? My name is Armen, and may I ask what is yours?

  • Karpov is demotivated... Too much winning for many years, now he has no targets....

  • someone farted oops, psychology won the game

  • that's SOBER

  • theres a man in the back in the white shirt with breasts... wtf??

  • @timfosho

They're not breasts. They're chest muscles.

  • i was waiting for someone to fart

  • Junior Soprano got out of the mental asylum to watch this... center left behind guy in tie

  • Karpov is a shadow of his former self. I hope kasparov doesn't decline so dramatically!!!

  • @jameswp266 Well, he is about 58 years old. How many other 58 yr old players do you see playing the top ranking players? Its a different age now in chess anyway. Engines like Rybka and online chess make training much of efficient.

  • kramnik got out of prison to play with karpov then go back..

  • @awe3774 What do you mean? Kramnik was never in prison..

  • @moviecritic6 LOOK AT HIS SHIRT YOU DUMMY. I thought chess players were supposed to have intellect.

  • @perturber Wow. I thought chess players were supposed to be civilized. I'm sorry.

  • @moviecritic6 tbh, "DUMMY" is quite tame considering we're on the interwebs...

  • @moviecritic6 who said I play chess?! by the way, I forgive you!

  • @moviecritic6 ahah

  • @awe3774 why? :o

  • Who disliked this video? perhaps a blunder, trying to click "Likes"

  • karpov just thinks to slow... that's why kramnik won!

  • Vladimir Kramnik lebih tinggi dari Anatoly Karpov....

  • Karpov plays both 1.d4 and 1.e4

  • Kramnik's shirt looks terrible... it is distracting to both the spectators and to Karpov.. that's why he won.

  • @greatelbow It's just black and white stripes..

  • What a stupid game.. Karpov was thinking for what ?? And Kramnik won by just repeating moves..

  • whos win?

  • que diferencia hay entre los jugadores?

  • Para mi ,Kramnik es la continuacion de capablanca, Petrossian, karpov y un ingrediente a lo Botvinnik

  • Как же долго Анатолий Евгеньевич думает...

  • @ivolgabb You are totally right!

  • At the start, they just wanna play chess!

  • @wario356 LOL! @ Kramnik's face!

  • What were the time controls for this match? And what was the end result?

  • @ace942 3 minutes with 2 second increments and Magnus Carlsen won the match

  • @adhdboy699 You mean Kramnik? Carlson isn't playing haha.

  • @duffmasterofpuppets Well he said the match and Carlsen won the whole tourney =)

  • Karpov,s looking old these days

  • @TheReddwarff100 karpov plays like a scared little rabbit

  • @TheReddwarff100 he still so good

  • Thanks for uploading!

  • Great video, ty for posting!

  • Is that Ljubomir Ljubojević in the cardigan and red necktie in the front?

  • @mavaddat no

  • Karpov think too much

  • Quanto mi piacerebbe poter leggere qualche commento in italiano.

    Salutoni

  • Karpov is like "I know what you're doing Kramnik - nod, nod", "Hold on, there's something else, oh, that's another trap - nod nod" , "that's right, I'm gonna.. wait, but he can still move the Queen....nod - nod" after a minute or so Karpov "never mind, lets make it quick" lol

  • Wow, 4:24....Kramnik parries nice and calmly.

  • I couldn't get a good view on the position, but Kramnik looked like he knew what he was doing the whole game, while Karpov looked a bit lost.

  • I loled, notice how kramnik reaches the clock, and while karpov nods, he totally moves it towards him.

  • yeah blitz is for the young like Carlsen, but karpov is one of the greatest still but i do like kramink just like his calmness. that was a great video thanks for posting

  • HAHA! Karpov u own man. ur just not for blitz thats all=D

  • If I never came across learning about a guy name Anatoly Karpov, I wouldn't have known what "Prophylaxis" was...

  • karpov is rusty it seems

  • the young karpov (especially 1978- 1982) cannot be beaten by anyone in blitz & in a long games

  • Great video, thank you for posting.

  • wow... why does he do that to himself? it's blitz.. there's no room for such long thinks. u have to play on instinct.

  • It not instinct it memorie but i do get your point

  • when u play blitz u play about 75 % of your strength

  • at that level, blitz is definitely a younger man's game...
