  • dude where did you buy that strap???

  • animal

  • On factoid you may find interesting, Jimmy uses the Schaller strap locks in black, not chrome. However, the lock itself (the piece which screwed to the guitar) is chrome.

  • You are correct...

  • i like it very much

  • Thank you for taking the time to watch my video.

  • Wow cool playing, but you are doubling on the main riff and im pretty sure that its not doubled, A ghost note if anything, but awesome solo parts.

  • I am sure you are correct...I do my very best to authenticate the original, and sometimes ghost notes come out sounding a little louder than one wants.

Thanks for taking the time to watch my videos.

  • @eddiepagechicago Don't worry its awesome!! much better than I can do.

  • Interesting, you also got the same strap Jimmy has.

  • Thanks....yes, its exactly the same strap as Jimmy's.

  • dude that was awesome:D sweet guitar too.

  • Hey, did you made an advertise for this video? It apears in a guitar tab web :p

  • Awesome job man! A clean, convincing cover...once again LOVE the tone (beautiful Les Paul too)! I always loved playing this song live because it meant that in a bit I'd be able to take a 5min break & have a drink while the drummer did his thing..lol! You rock man...5*s!!

  • Thanks a lot 5150

  • Very good and clear! No messy noats or dodgy picking...... Well done! 5stars!

  • excellent !!!!!!

  • ha! nice text at the beginning. Your very good at Zeppelin songs!.... 5 stars *****

  • yet another excellent video. i've been looking through your vids and i want you to pick a zeppelin song and just jam on it.

  • whats your bridge pick up?

  • the pickups are stock....

This is a Jimmy Page Gibson Custom Shop guitar from the year 2005.

They are both Jimmy Page Burstbucker Pro's and cannot be purchased separately, neck position has a cover and the bridge is w/o a cover...The pickups are exclusive to the guitar model. I believe they were individually hand-made as well.

  • That's a very authentic sound. Great guitar. jh :)

  • Awesome dude!

  • eddie page jimmy page son?

  • one thing, mics came with the guitar? why treble is black and rythm silver?

  • A microphone comes with the digital camcorder...

The pickups are different because jimmy a pickup configuration just like this (one was chromed and the other was coverless)...these pickups are the Jimmy Page Burstbucker Pro's that are installed on all of the JPP Signature models

  • by the way, you really shoud make the solo part of since i been loving you , its orgasmic

  • Nice work dude :)

    Sweet playin

  • PERFECT!!

  • not one bad note in this it was PERFECT!!!!!!!!! almost as good as jimmy page!

  • wow really good! did you learn it on tabs or sheet music?>

  • I use the mass produced guitar tabs that one can purchase at say a Guitar Center but, then I tweak the tabs out with my ears because I have yet to find one person or company to ever accurately transcribe anything. It may be a copyright issue 'or' the person's that do transcribing for a living are not taking his or her time.

  • aww u use tabs? u seem rly good u shud learn sheet music and like theroy u cud go pro!

  • i do the same, but with tabs on the Web, its the best to play songs exactly like originals

  • loved it,5 stars..im subscribing

  • Just too ferkin good.......exceptional

  • NICE COVER!

  • this is pretty damn good

  • thanks goody...

    I appreciate that

  • Great! Perfect! what else can i say?!

  • so amazing brovo!!!

  • What´s the name of the colour? I know its the jimmy page signature or something like that, but i wanna know the name of the colour :P

  • KICK ASS

  • Very very nice....

  • Yeah that last part is near impossible unless you got two guitars going

  • Isn't moby dick & guitar solo kind of an oxymoron? JK nah great job!

  • haha sorry..

I asked the same question as the guy below.

    about what amp you use..

what amp(s) do you own that you would suggest?

  • I love Marshall JMP mkII heads from early 1970's 50 watts.

A great amp that no one really knows about is the Egnater Rebel 20....it can emulate many different tones and its all tube with power tube variations

  • is that a jimmy sig?

and how do you learn these so precisely!?

  • It is a Jimmy Sig..from 2005..

It is the greatest guitar in my eyes and has such a wonderful feel.

I learn these solos precisely by taking it one riff at a time and really studying it and finding out what makes the most sense in hand movement and neck placement and I ask myself all the time....what would jimmy do?

A killer guitar solo that most people blow off is Rock and Roll....it is so intense and fast that most people think he is just sloppy, when in fact Jimmy is one of the most precise!!

  • what amp are you using in all of these video's?

do you just listen to the song over&over&over again?!

yea rock n roll has a great solo !

that was the first zeppelin song I learned all the way through =)

  • haha dude do you have the guitar strap jimmy page has on his number one? from now

  • Yes, you are correct.

It is the exact strap made for Jimmy by the same people who made his!!!

    Thanks for noticing...

  • curious, do you play the song through the amp? or do you play it on a seperate stereo system? because one of my videos i played the ocean studio track through the amp but with my tone settings, it messed it up and it blasted too loud over my actual playing

  • Link0t

I am playing the cd through my simple Akai Stereo System....I have my amp near the stereo speakers and try to blend in as much as possible...

  • thanks!

  • esa la signature de jimmy page? suena igualito...oe tocas igual igual...muy bravo :D

  • Awesome!!!! That's gotta be the best cover i've heard!!!!

  • When is the next video coming out???

    Keep 'em comin'!!!

  • Wow!!!!!

Cara, espetacular! Ou como diria o estrela número 5: "Incrível"! A música é simples mas a pegada fez toda a diferença, show!

  • Muchas gracias! Lo agradesco mucho!

  • You're very close. Most dont realize that Page picked the electric guitar in the same manner as one plays acoustic guitar. I read one time Page said that his picking technique was some were between very controlled thought and complete mayhem, or something like that. Attach a bit more with gusto when you pick. Have a follow through in a similar way as a golfer follows through with his stroke.

  • Also think of the riff as two pieces, or two halves so to speak. The first half is a "call" the second is a "response" I call it "talk one talk two". Think of the first half of the phrase as a man saying something and the second half as another person with a reply. Music is a conversation of pieces or "phrases" even if it is just one instrument playing one riff. This will help you to get better accent going. Accent is critical. Good luck :)

  • Oh yes, you are laying to heavy on the syncopation. You are playing one note to many in the riff. The note exists, but any syncopation creates a flaw in the music so to speak, thus being a sort of "ghost note". It is there but it is not there as well. This is the flaw that happens because of the syncopation and the very thing that creates interest in the riff. Page was a master at syncopation. See if you can figure out which note, which "ghost note" I am talking about. I bet you can. :)

  • beautiful guitar..

  • Nice playing and excellent sound !

  • what kind of AMP do you have???

  • Marshall JMP Mark II 50 watt the year is 1974...I run that with a THD Hotplate...

  • There is a special mod I have done on the amp myself....changing a couple of capacitors and resistors in order to change the slope and gain of the amp.

  • thanks!!!

  • excellent!

  • Great job!!!

  • I would love to see you in person. Are you in a band? I live far from Chicago but I will make the trip if you just let me know when and where! YOU ROCK!
