Are you too republican to realize that the American Forces, that consists of the Army, Navy, NG, and Marines are a collection of INDIVIDUALS. Individuals that are TROOPS in these FORCES?

McCain did not say he did it was not important about how long the TROOPS stay.

McCain said it was not important about how long AMERICA FORCES stay. TROOPS are individuals. AMERICAN FORCES are the ARMY, NAVY, MARINES, AIR FORCE, and COAST GUARD.

We all know McCain is willing to keep FORCES in Iraq , if acceptable to Iraq, after the fighting ends just like we have had FORCES in Japan for over 60 year as a PRESENCE.

True or False: We have had American Forces in Japan for over 60 year and they have not been attacked.

True or False: The Troops get deployed to our Bases in Japan, complete their tour or get reassigned (come and go), and then they go home.

True or False: In Japan over the last 60 years none of our Troops of the NAVY, ARMY, AIR FORCE, or MARINES have been shot at by Enemy Fire.

McCain constantly says as long as they are not in harms way.

Comparing Japan to Iraq is pointless. Japan is stable, Iraq is not, and shows no signs of being so--anytime soon.

I was comparing keeping MILITARY FORCES (i.e. the ARMY) in Iraq after the war ends just like we have kept AMERICAN FORCES in Japan after the war ended there. This is what McCain is talking about. See the comparison?

"Anytime soon", glad you know the future, but even by saying that you agree it will end. Then, if acceptable to the Leaders of Iraq if they allow a base or more to remain as a "PRESENCE" then we will. JUST LIKE I COMPARED TO JAPAN! THAT'S THE POINT.

We're already resending out troops who have serious injuries, or who have made 2 or 3 trips.
