hey um mabey this is impossible but can you make shawdows from the imported objects like the motor bike have a more "realistic shawdow" or does that require wayyyyy to much work?
You can get Syntheyes for $400. This program has been used in movies like King Kong, National Treasure 2, The Aviator, etc. Check out the website and the demo. I'm picking up a copy this week.
how did u place the animated bike behind the actual railing...plz tell me...i need to do a similar thing for my project...as in, i gotto put a building ona site but the video has a tree out side the site..so hw could i place it behind the tree..hope u dohelp me out..thanks
Well.. one of the best ways is create two layers with the bike ontop and the to add a subtracting mask on the bike with a program like After Effects (they just came out with version CS3 -- really good :D)
he used 3d models of the pawns to create an alpha channel (mask) over the bike. The 3d models themselves you can choose not to see by using a use background shader ( at least that's how i do it in MAYA)
well done..brilliant compositing as well

This is composited by afterFX not motion, but they are similar. The 3D images is done by Maya, camera tracking by matchMover
smc1999 1 year ago
is this done in apple motion if so how did u get the 3d images onto it?

FiImNation 1 year ago
how did you made it so the bike has the same "bad pixels quality" as your original footage?
SilentEliminator 1 year ago 2
Just add some noise or grain to the CG images and blur it . but the most important thing is match the lighting of the original footage.
smc1999 1 year ago 2

I believe that would require modeling more surfaces + surface detail to match the environment in the footage.
matt040287 2 years ago
You probably could do that, It would require a bit more After Effects integration.
Roflfilms13 2 years ago
With Motion 4 you can do that.
CarsonUnderwood 2 years ago
No that can be done easily.

p44v9n 3 years ago
Build a cone in Maya, render it and used as mask in compositing.
smc1999 3 years ago 2
cool thanks :)
i'm really bad at compositing though.
not exactly good at maya either though, lol.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
I was merely pointing out that the video was fake and not real. Exactly where is the problem here?
