They never put these fires out in fact they keep them going as long as they can to justify their jobs. The only thing that ever ends these fires is rain.
@MCDCBPAUX .........they don't put them out because resources are very limited and pouring water on it is not how wild fires are put out they ring it and let it burn. please don't bash these guys when you have no idea on how wild land operations work.
I remember driving to see a friend at Santa Ysabel - turned a corner on the 78 and saw a police officer hold up their hand to tell me to stop. I looked above his hand and saw a tree explode into flame. Saluted the cop and got my self out of there.
I wish they would have flown the bombers the day the fire started they might have saved my house . It was pretty futile though with those winds , really there was nothing that could be done . I stayed as long as I could until fire surrounded me on 3 sides , I went about 1/10 mile away on a hill and watched my house burn down . I was only able to save my pets that day . I am thankful though to all the firefighters for doing what they could against the monster .
I work with the CDF doing their internet access at the stations. These men and women are what is best in people. All firefighter and police and emergency responders have my gratitude and thanks.
This is a fantastic video. Not only did it bring back memories, but was also difficult to watch. I was one of many who, lost my job, my car, my home, and my pets.
Now, I currently am a Dispatcher with SDFD Paramedics. Thank you for your video.
Their where several hereos. Each and every single EMS and Law Enforcement agency were all hereos.
Finally last Sunday they put out the Santiago Canyon/Silverado Canyon/Foothill Ranch/ Trubuco Canyon Firestorm!!!Agh, almost took 3-4 weeks to put out the blazes!!!
Man, that took a while! Thankfully they got them out though. They were able to hold the line under unbelievable circumstances at our place to save our valley - the now infamous Lyons Valley in Jamul.
Hope you and yours are okay. Take care and tell your friends to come check this video out. These people deserve all the accolades they can get!
