depends on the movie.....the player (don't go cheep).....the tv(again don't go cheep) and the way you hook it all up(use HDMI v1.3 or better cables ONLY!! for video out put) i have this player and its not the best player but with most movies i DO SEE A DIFFERENCE! *this player support firmware upgrades, be sure to update it!
Why do so many people say they don't like a certain brand and still go and watch videos of them!! Oh and manufacturers do not provide HDMI cables with their products due to consumers requiring different lengths of cable!! I'd rather have a cheaper product and choose my ownength of cable that I personally required
Disappointed, no HD cable - component or HDMI cable are incl. a HD player. Is the same as you sold a car with plastic wheels. But when i have saying that, great design and a
i have the same one and i love it along with my samsung 52" lcd. it is awsome because if you have a samsung set up one remote does all. as soon as you turn the tv off then the blueray saves and shuts down.
Instead of buying blue rays it is better to rent them from netflix for $9 a month.

Blue ray is just another money grabbing gimmick by these company's. How many times are you going to buy the same movie's over and over again. When they develop a 3D holografic system for the home i will switch, if i am still alive, until then my standerd dvd player is fine for me
actually I think blu-ray players are well worth the money. If you go to a best buy and see the visual comparison of blu-ray and DVD you can see a big diffrence. Blu-ray is up to 5x better picture quality. So if you just like to watch your movies then stick with a DVD player but If you want to watch your movies in 1080p then get a blu-ray player
bloody bastard expensive =( Id get one, because my parents bought a full HD LG tv, but...they use scart...and Virgin media normal, so I was gonna buy them a bluray player for christmas, but theyre like 150 GBR.

Why do companies still package the Red, White, Yellow cables w/ their products??
Like a slap in the face to modern technology.
no1cp 3 years ago
Because it costs nothing. It would be nice if they could include a HDMI cable.

castra73 3 years ago
RGB are Red, Green, Blu, cables which are call COMPONENT cables.(which does produce a High Def picture, not as good as HDMI.)
