Now I don't entirely believe that Obama will seize absolute power in the government. I didn't believe that the Bush would either. The issue isn't the Bush administration and it's not Obama administration either, It's both. It's the shift of power to more of the executive branch with each change in regime. We need to understand that the checks and balances that the government once had has shifted to a point where people don't care anymore whether or not the president holds to much power. As long as they are the desired race/sex or as long they make the promises certain political groups want the office is theirs.
