I'm not in favor of killing any animal for any reason except to put it out of its misery when there is no other way to end the pain and suffering. I do appreciate everything that PETA has accomplished and continues to accomplish. I'm pretty sure that none of the people who work for PETA wish to bring any harm to animals and look forward to the day (hoping that day will come) animals will no longer be exploited/abused in any shape or form.

Now back to the 100 animals a year, were talking beef, pork, and poultry, fair? a beef will yeild 300 lbs. of meat, a hog about 175 lbs. of meat and a chicken about 3.5 lbs. now lets just say you were to eat even amounts of each kind of meat, multiply each yeild by 33.3 and you get 15,934 lbs. divide that by 365 and that means 1 person eats over 43.5 lbs of meat A DAY!! Give me a break.

That's a problem due to the mass commercialization of farming live stock. it is a problem on many levels and I agree with you there. Family owned farms are being run out by these massive meat industries, and they create tons of pollution and disease. They're starting to clean up thyeir acts, but they have a long way to go.

People are starving because "your" "meat-animals" are fed with the biggest part of the worldwide grain crop. Many people have no bread because their crops are shipped to other countries as forage. You need about 10kg of crops to get 1kg of meat. The crops itself would be enough to saturate valued 12 billion people.
Animal rights are also human rights. Think about it.
