i know it takes longer to get to lvl 50 with aion but hey i found the time to make 5 lvl 80's including 2 gladiators in wow lol so i'll have no problem getting to 50 eventualy and i've heard they are speeding the lvling up a bit in the next patch
hey people obviously alot of you that see this are aion fans so a question i'm rerolling to aion within a month and quitting wow ^^ so anyone got a good server / legion they can reccomend i am a pritty solid player obtained server first kills some EU first kills etc in wow and also have made gladiator twice on my paladin and rogue
dont leave wow for this. i did the same and i highly regret it. lvling is very boring and longer than wow. enless you put a TON of hours into this game and i mean more than 100 hours over a week you MAY get to 50 in a couple months
@DotNetDev If its auto-targeting that's your problem then check out The Chronicles of Spellborn. There isn't auto-targeting in that, and last time I checked it was completely free.

But i would say that there are a couple of them which require a lot of skills, at least in some parts, for some classes etc. The problem with AION is that this game didnt go forward from those first very popular mmos, WoW, L2 etc. Same system. And this stuff(autotarget, autoattack, 1-click skills/combos/spells, not being able to evade the combo with moving etc) is getting old.
@DotNetDev If you could avoid magic skills and arrows and such by purely moving, the class would die immediately and it would be purely fighters on fighters.. not quite that exciting..
Btw Aion actually has quite a few skills and requires skill to be good at most of the classes.. I really don't believe you know what you're talking about.

speak for yourself, this agme does require skill to play, pvp is alot for intense than say, wow. pots are accepted as being used in combat and there are alot of skills classes have to combat eachother. when pvping you need to time spells right etc to win or you will just be torn apart (i play a sorc and an SM so i know about being squishy)
@Lisledl Yeah, it requires skills to play. Minimum of skills. To time spells right indeed needs minimal skills. Melee combat is especially poor in this game, you cant even miss with your combo if the foe moves away (only random evade works, which does not depend on you). In this game wins the one who has better gear or higher level.
which is the same as most games, in word of warcraft, if you have full pvp gear against someone with pve gear, the pvper will win. i really don't see what you're complaining about

Leveling in WAR and WoW isn't and never was difficult.
Aion is like Bloodshed said, only a grind game if you make it one. Hell, 1-10 takes me 1 hour and 15 minutes. 10-25 I craft through, 25-30 I do TG, 30+ I do FT, Abyss, Fort Instances, Rifting, more crafting, 43+ Draupnir, etc. I have a 50, two 45s, a 43, and a plethora of 30ish characters. If you think this is a grindgame, then you're wrong, and get the fuck out.
Well, considering that I only play some late week nights and the weekends since I work as a Paramedic, I think I'm doing pretty well. It helps that I know what to do, since I played Aion since Korean Beta.

speak for yourself, this agme does require skill to play, pvp is alot for intense than say, wow. pots are accepted as being used in combat and there are alot of skills classes have to combat eachother. when pvping you need to time spells right etc to win or you will just be torn apart (i play a sorc and an SM so i know about being squishy)

@Lisledl Yeah, it requires skills to play. Minimum of skills. To time spells right indeed needs minimal skills. Melee combat is especially poor in this game, you cant even miss with your combo if the foe moves away (only random evade works, which does not depend on you). In this game wins the one who has better gear or higher level.

Aion isnt a grindfest... if you make it one, then it will turn into one. I have 2 Level 30's and a 25 a few of my friends have 2 to 3 50's and some others around 30-40

Though i do grind to get money and cause im bored.. ALSO grinding in the Abyss.. Attracts pvp :D PLUS you also earn more EXP for the mobs in there PLUS Abyss points (:

Leveling in WAR and WoW isn't and never was difficult.
Aion is like Bloodshed said, only a grind game if you make it one. Hell, 1-10 takes me 1 hour and 15 minutes. 10-25 I craft through, 25-30 I do TG, 30+ I do FT, Abyss, Fort Instances, Rifting, more crafting, 43+ Draupnir, etc. I have a 50, two 45s, a 43, and a plethora of 30ish characters. If you think this is a grindgame, then you're wrong, and get the fuck out.
