  • I want to setup my own religion and Copy the Christians by killing everyone who doesn't agree with me

  • Does anyone else think he looks a little like Jack Sparrow?

  • I stopped believing in god right about the time people started considering Tim Michin as a "comic genius".

  • 7 people are religious

  • Every comment here is a response. OMG THIS IS GOD!

    Fuck off.

  • I stopped believing in God, around the same time I stopped believing in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy

  • @LarrytheQuadguy1 wait...wtf? SANTA CLAUSE ISN'T REAL?????

    LIAR!!!!

  • this is one of the few 10 minute videos i can watch fully through without clicking a link.

  • God doesn't and has never existed. Now grow up.

  • Pure genius...

  • 6 people are wrong

  • @sloosh6000 obviously how many talking fish do you know

  • ): He knows Evolution doesn't work like that...I hope.

  • To the detractors here, comedians of all kinds generally talk about their views. They attract a following of similarly minded people, like in this case me. If you don't like the material, that's fine. Go watch your favorite religious comic. Your religious views in this forum are accepted just as graciously as my atheist views would be in that forum. I promise I won't post there.

  • This guy has warped his theology and beliefs to his own taste, like a little kid giving himself the rules. He has no backbone or base to his beliefs . People like these make me sad.

  • @AspiringforHim I'm sorry, did you not realise that this is meant to be FUNNY. Don't start a philosophical argument.

  • @wolfy0312 I know it was meant to be 'funny', but a person can be disrespectful at the same time. No, I'm not trying to and definitely don't want to start a philosophical argument .

  • @AspiringforHim Doesn't everyone warp their own theology to their own taste? Surely that just means he's thought about it.

  • @cjd17live Just because "everyone" does it (and no, not everyone does) does not justify his/her reasons for doing so; if you ask me, that is a rather poor reason for doing things in life.

  • @AspiringforHim No i agree with you there, but it also makes it a strange reason to criticise someone. You seem to criticise him merely for having a relative stance, meaning that he's thought about things and developed his own ideas.

  • Comment removed

  • @cjd17live I'm not trying to criticize or judge him at all- and least of all because he has his own beliefs. I am stating that he has no others reason to develop his 'own ideas' than to excuse living an immoral life, and still be labeled 'religious'. This relative stance is just plain lies. This guy is lying to himself. Once again, I am not trying to cut him down, God loves him no matter what, as He does all sinners, including me. I hope Tim will one day be saved.

  • @AspiringforHim He's developed the ideas based on science though, empiricism is the best reason to believe things. Much more of a valid reason to believe things than from a two-millennium old text. Believing in evolution doesn't make someone immoral, just correct. Tim doesn't need to be saved, he's not a sinner. In what way do you believe you are a sinner?

  • @cjd17live I'm not calling this man immoral because he believes in evolution rather he feels no guilt or shame in the sins he commits or the words he says. He doesn't believe in God or the Bible, yet he uses a warped form of Christianity to shield any wrongs he commits. As to whether evolution is correct or not, that is your opinion, not mine.

Not a day goes by that I do not think or do something I shouldn't have. But because of God's mercy, my sins are washed away with His blood.

  • @AspiringforHim you should be a comedian

  • @mgsg50 Why, did you laugh? I'm very sorry....

  • @AspiringforHim i dont know how you can say that he is sinning. he doesnt believe in sin. lets try to put this into a point of view that even you can understand. hypothetically lets say you're a mormon. mormons believe that drinking coffee is a sin. but does that mean that when i have a cup of coffee i am sinning? its only a sin when viewed through the close minded view of the religion. think about it.

  • @mgsg50 I understand where your belief and views are coming from. The fact is, I don't think we will ever agree. I'm not a Mormon, so I have no idea what their views are. But I do know that the Bible (1 Corinthians 6:18) says to not dwell in sexual immorality- something Tim said he did. It also says (Ephesians 4:29) not to let corrupt things - cussing- come out of our mouths. I'm sorry, but this is what I live by.

I respect you for standing by what you believe in, but I cannot follow suit =) J

  • @AspiringforHim It also tells you to stone your daughter to death if she doesn't marry her rapist. Interesting book, but I tend not to follow any being who condones genocide. I have higher standards that than, thank you very much.

  • @AulisVaara Are you were referring to Deuteronomy 22:28? Deuteronomy is in the Old Testament. A lot of the Old Testament is The Law that the Jews followed back then. The religious leaders long ago often tried to attach traditions of theirs (such as having to marry the rapist) to the Law that God gave them (the Ten Commandments).

    =)

  • @AspiringforHim can you not even pretend for a second that you are not told exactly how to live by a book that was written 2000 years ago? and while i dont really care if someone believes in certain christian values, how can you live so closely tied to a religion that throughout history has only been used for corruption and to strike fear into the hearts of people in order to control them. as he says in his beat poem "faith is the denial of observation so that belief can be preserved.

  • @mgsg50 I do not wish to pretend. Yes, through the Bible, God tells me what is right and wrong. He tells me who I am as a Christian. Yet it gives me worth. You may think me a chained to my beliefs but I would rather be a slave for God and in his heart than an Empress of wealth and glory and have nothing on this earth. Only the ones afraid to embrace it are struck with fear. Faith is no denial, it is something wonderful we can hold onto and treasure despite all sorrows on this earth.

  • @AspiringforHim I believed in god once. Then I actually started thinking logically.

  • @prototypep4 So you seek to find the "correct" theology now or are you an atheist?

If you truly believed with all your heart God loved you and he's with you, I don't think a simple thing like logic could have stood in the way.

  • @AspiringforHim if the church really did know all then why has it been wrong about so many things?

  • @mgsg50 You speak of the church as a whole: what things are you referring to?

As for knowing all, ;-P The church is far from that. It is God who knows all and he has honored us with showing us earthlings a piece of his knowledge. =)

  • @AspiringforHim yes i mean the church as a whole. thats what it is. a whole thing. if god is so all knowing then does he leave all of his followers stranded here without the vast knowledge of the world. the knowledge of how things work in the world is amazing. why would you want to sit by and just say "oh its magic god made it this way. do you even want to know anything? god was created to explain things that people didnt understand before science came and revealed the truth about things.

  • @mgsg50 You mistake our religion for assumed ignorance. Just because we have very few well-known Christian scientists are due to the multitude of people who can't bear to hear the truth. Just because we believe in God, does not mean we do not learn, study, &relish in the beauty of the earth with the eyes of scientists. We just have a different world-view- a view that always shows us the beauty in life The day only science reveals the truth of things is the day we are all truly forsaken.

  • @AspiringforHim why would god have created all of the universe if we were only supposed to be on this tiny little planet? god has only ever been used to explain things for people who dont want to study the facts of how the world works. and what ever happened to all the angels appearing to people and these miracles happening. they dont happen because they never happened. the bible is just stories told by a bunch of different people about how they thought you should live your life.

  • @mgsg50 Your words are quite tangled. You say Christianity is a facade for the weak-minded, yet evolutionists, not matter how hard they try, cannot find one piece of evidence as to the earth being billions of years old or that there is a missing link- which has yet to be found since it's proposal only a few hundred years ago. Science and Christianity do not repel each other, rather, they walk hand in hand. When science tries to walk alone, it struggles just trying to keep itself up.

  • @AspiringforHim: What? No missing link? The missing link was an issue 200 years ago. Today we have tons of intermediary species such as H habilis, H rudolfensis, H georgicus, H ergaster, H erectus and many more. We also have much better evidence than fossils, fossils are not even important anymore. We can see evolution in the lab, in agriculture, through DNA analysis and through anatomical analysis. You could throw away all the fossils and the evidence for evolution would remain strong.

  • @dcarrera01 Quite true. Not too long ago we even acquired proof that our current planet (and it's surroundings) was created upon the destruction of the previous solar system. The necessary particles were recycled so to speak. It's a natural process which will undoubtedly happen again, it's hardly 'supernatural' interference from a magical sky-wizard. Neither evolution nor the true 'creation of the solar-system' are theories anymore. Now if only the rest of humanity could catch up :S

  • @OmegaSamaRed: I know what you meant to say, but it's not quite right to say that there was a "previous solar system", because to me it suggests that it had planets and it was "here" where we are. A more correct story is that our solar system formed in a cloud of gas along with several others stars in a stellar cluster. That cloud of gas was made of hydrogen and helium, which was enriched by previous supernovae and stellar winds (primarily from AGB stars) that supplied heavier elements.

  • @dcarrera01 It did actually. Like I said, the previous solar system - though primitive - contained a sun and an unknown amount of proto-stars. After said 'solar system' was destroyed due to the 'expiration of the proto-sun', said elements were recycled into our current solar system. We found said particles/elements and proof of aforementioned theory not too long ago. It most certainly wasn't just gasses, also molten solids. The particular theory you're referring to is somewhat outdated.

  • @OmegaSamaRed: I am an astrophysicist. What I described to you is the best current knowledge, and definitely not outdated.

There was no "previous solar system" where we are, and a solar system does not contain a collection of proto-stars. I'm not even sure what you would mean by that. I have no idea how you figure that a previous solar system was destroyed or what you mean by "expiration of the proto-sun". Where did you get the idea of molten solids?

  • @OmegaSamaRed: A solar system does not contain "an amount of proto-stars". You seem to be drawing a strange distinction between "sun" and "star" which is confusing me.

You can have a stellar system with a number of stars. Those exist. When one says "solar system" that normally refers to our current system with the Sun and planets. If one talks about other solar systems, that is usually in the context of exoplanets.

  • @dcarrera01 But I suppose everyone has their own theories on what happened exactly, my bet is on the string theory/cyclic universe theory considering recent data. Yet each scientific theory is still more logical than the religious explanation. What I find hilarious is that people believe that the 'big bang' created the entire universe and that we are somehow the center. And three guesses who supposedly did that. Naturally God went from creating Earth to creating the entire universe....Ridiculous

  • @OmegaSamaRed: I don't care much for people's pet theories. I care about the consensus of scientific opinion based on the best available evidence. I cannot tell if you think that the Big Bang theory implies that we are at the center. I hope that you know that we are not.

In any case, if you'd like to talk about either planet formation or the Big Bang, I am available. As an astronomer I see it as part of my job to explain astronomy to people who want to know more.

  • @AspiringforHim: There was a time when science and Christianity walked hand in hand - it was called the Dark ages. It was the time when scientists wasted their time trying to force a geocentric model of the Earth into the observations because the church said it had to be that way, and those who deviated too strongly from that were punished.

Incidentally, I happen to be a scientist (astronomer) and if you'd like to talk about the age of the universe or Earth, we can chat (e.g. PM me).

  • @dcarrera01 You have all worn me out. ;-P I'm not a philosopher or a scientist.... lol, I'm not even in high school! I know that no matter what I say you all will attack me, and no matter what you all say I will fight back. You all choose to see the world in black and white; I choose to see something truly beautiful: that Someone especially created this vast universe for us to live in and enjoy. I'm sorry guys, but that's what I believe and always will. Blessings! =D

  • @AspiringforHim: I am not trying to wear you out or attack you. You seem like a nice guy. I think there is great beauty in the world. We live in an spectacular world that is sitting in an amazing universe. That's why being a scientist is such a wonderful thing. You get to spend your time exploring the things you don't know to learn how the universe works. And the more you discover, the more amazed you are by reality.

  • @dcarrera01 =)

  • @AspiringforHim: It makes me very sad when people say "that's what I believe and always will". Nobody should ever say that. Not Christians, not Muslims, not Scientists, not Athenists... Nobody.

The most important thing you can do with the gift of your mind is to use it to explore, honestly ask questions, and always be willing to change your mind. No benevolent God would ever have given you the power of reason and then forbidden you to use it. This cannot be the God you believe in.

  • @dcarrera01 The thing is, I've once changed my mind about God, well, almost ;-) I stopped believing in him for a time and was so scared about going to hell that I had no love for God, only fear. Then I realized that there is nothing more wonderful in this world than a God who loves us. After that time of doubting, I knew that I'd never doubt him again and I began a new journey where I loved him and could feel his love for me. Ever since then, I've known that nothing can beat that. =)

  • @AspiringforHim: I used to be a devout Christian. I know what it is like to change your mind.

But your belief in God should not be grounded on fear of hell. A God that wants you to serve him under threat of eternal torture is not a loving God, and it is not a God worthy of your worship. A real God is not afraid to be questioned and examined. A God who gave you the gift of reason and curiosity would be malevolent if he required you to suspend reason and inquiry, or to plant false evidence.

  • @dcarrera01 I serve God because I love love Him. Yes, I fear Hell, but God has promised me I will not go there. You all talk as if God enjoys human suffering and wades in cruelty and apathy, but that is only because we all need someone to blame. If a baby is stillborn, we automatically need someone to pin it to since we know it's not ours or anyone's personal fault. If life were perfect, why would we need God? Even when life is as it is, we refuse to acknowledge a loving savior. That is sad.

  • @AspiringforHim: God created hell, he created the rules by which you go to hell, and he created us knowing the future and knowing ahead of time that the vast majority of humans would go there. Therefore, it follows that God is responsible and in fact, does appear to enjoy human suffering. This view is reflected throughout the Bible as God *commands* genocide, going as far as hardening the Pharaoh's heart just so he could kill thousands of babies. He condones human sacrifice and slavery.

  • @AspiringforHim: I do believe that the God of the Bible is a throughly evil character that enjoys human suffering. This has nothing to do with me feeling compassion for humans living today. I speak merely of the Bible. In the Bible, God's commands are persistently evil and afront to both reason and morality. God himself goes out of his way to inflict human suffering, often capriciously.

Example: God sent bears to tear apart 42 children for making fun of Elisha's bald head.

    Is this justice?

  • @dcarrera01 Exactly. He's a douchebag. Seems pointless to call him loving.

  • @dcarrera01 I fully agree. While most Biblical stories are absolute nonsense, they are supposed to contain moral 'lessons'. Which more often than not are hypocritical, the story of Cain and Abel being a prime example. Apparently Cain is the world's first murderer because he killed Abel (motives vary in every version), yet is was Cain that sacrificed animals to appease God - a gift which God gladly accepted unlike Cain's sacrifice. Who taught whom that the sacrifice of life is appropriate?

  • @AspiringforHim: You know? I wish the discussion hadn't gone in this direction. I do not wish to destroy your faith. I am an atheist, but you need not be. What I really want is that people of faith, such as yourself, be familiar with science and the evidence, so that their faith be informed by the facts of the universe. I won't give you dogma, and I won't preach. I wish to give you observed facts about the universe that you can incorporate into your theology.

How old do you think the Earth is?

  • @AspiringforHim I can't understand how a person could say that on the one hand, god loves us, but on the other hand say that god will send those of us who do not believe in the particular type of "god" he wants us to believe, or don't believe at all, to endless pain and suffer in hell, just for not believing the right thing, or not believing at all, regardless of wether or not the person in question is actually a good person. That is what many people claim god to be like, and that is sinister.

  • @ThePopsheep We all in our lifetimes are given chances. I highly doubt God relishes our going to hell. If he wanted to control us and be a complete master of our lives, he would do so, and none of us would go to hell. But He is not a tyrant. He gives us the power of will and gives us choices that WE have to make for our selves. God loves you so much, please see that. Blessings =)

  • @AspiringforHim Really? God loves us? Is that why innocent people die in disasters, children are wounded and spend lifetimes in painful agony? That the greedy and objectively 'evil' become fat and rich, while perfectly innocent poor people die of dysentry without clothes on their backs. GOD IS A DICK. And also doesn't exist. Take whichever one you want, but know that YOU are anti-progress, and anti-humanity, and if rational people like me had their way, we'd have you all shot. Blessings :)

  • @FullMetalAlcohol Then you're saying that progress involves the slaughter of Christians? And you're calling ME an 'anti-humanitarian'???? This world is just getting weirder and weirder....

  • @FullMetalAlcohol Imagine a world without strife, death, or even pain. We wouldn't believe in God or need him at all. He would be a myth to us, a shadow passed, a mere flicker of a memory. Believe me, God does not make bad things happen, he allows them to so, cliche as it sounds, something greater can come out of it.

  • @AspiringforHim So God gives us a choice, but if our choice isn't to his liking, we get to be tortured for ever in hell? yeah, uhm, I don't think I would call that a choice... Wouldn't call it love either.

  • @weelittledragon I wish we could just for a second all just step out of our skin and look at this all from a different perspective, but you all are just so intent on atheism that you are putting God in your blind spot and refuse to even consider Him.

  • @AspiringforHim so, can you tell me what was incorrect about my initial statement? Because god's behaviour as it is described in the bible, is basically that of a gangster. Comply with his wishes, or choose not to, but the latter will get you eternal torture. This is christian doctrine. Don't pretend it isn't. So how is this a choice? How is this good and loving? It just isn't, and if you can't see that, I'm sorry, but then you have lost all perspective of just what's morally good or bad.

  • @dcarrera01: I think you will agree with me that if the God of Abraham is real, he would not be so deceitful and malevolent to plant false evidence in the universe. On the contrary, he is eager for you to use His gift of reason and curiosity to explore the universe and learn how his creation works. If the evidence says that the Earth is 4.6 billion years old, and that we are cousins of all living things, you should accept that as part of God's divine plan. Most Christians do.

  • @dcarrera01 I am not against learning!!! I encourage it!!! I just don't believe in the false evidence planted by MAN out there in the world!!!

  • @AspiringforHim: Sorry to be blunt, but have you considered that you might have been indoctrinated?

"False evidence planted by man" basically means that scientists are in some sort of conspiracy to fake evidence. Think about that: All physicists and biologists on Earth... even the Christians, somehow agreeing to live a lie their whole lives. You also have to recruit the hundreds of new scientists that graduate every year, from all over the world, and from all religions. And for what purpose?

  • @dcarrera01 Sorry to be blunt, but have you ever considered Christianity?

If I ever sound rude it's due to the fact that I posted one comment on this page and got hounded by about thirty different people. I was stating my opinion people.

  • @AspiringforHim: Don't be afraid to be blunt with me. The answer is yes, I have definitely considered Christianity. I used to be a born again Christian.

I was raised Catholic. In my teens I questioned much of the dogma and became agnostic. At university I met evangelical Christians. I learned about them and I was born again. I have read the whole Bible. Over several years I began to see more and more issues with the Bible, Christians and religion in general. Eventually I became an atheist.

  • @AspiringforHim: I understand that you might have felt attacked in this forum. I have personally never tried to attack you. Why don't we chat via private message? I promise to treat all your comments with respect.

  • @AspiringforHim: I am an astronomer. Please ask me anything you'd like to know about astronomy. Especially about evidence.

Please tell me: How old do you think the Earth is? Do you think the Earth is only 6,000 years old? If so, why don't we talk about that. The 6,000 year estimate is easy to disprove based on evidence that lay people can understand. That's why 99% of Christians accept the 4.6 billion year figure.

  • @AspiringforHim And the bible wasn't written by man, of-course, or contains false stories planted by man. So when the Exodus story was proven to be absolute nonsense, the Egyptians planted the evidence several thousands of years in advance? Because naturally they foresaw that we'd have DNA evidence some day. And naturally the supposed 'mistranslated version' of Exodus was planted by non-religious individuals as well. That's just ONE example. Picking facts to fit your theory isn't learning.

  • @OmegaSamaRed When was the Exodus proven absolute nonsense? The day you decided you would search Google to see other people's biased theories? My good sir, were you there those thousands of years ago? "Picking 'facts' to fit your theory isn't learning". You're making accusations to fit your own theology.

  • @AspiringforHim It was proven nonsense years ago. Even the Church admitted to it after having been presented with more than enough proof. I suggest YOU search Google instead or get back to school, clearly you're quite behind on the facts. And said facts about Exodus being myth is hardly an unknown fact. I most certainly didn't have to 'be there' in order to understand what happened whereas the Egyptians left enough evidence to disprove Exodus entirely. And unlike religion, science doesn't lie.

  • @AspiringforHim And I'm hardly making accusations. In order to come to a logical and proper conclusion, one gathers proven facts and builds a properly supported conclusion. But I suppose that any facts you dislike or disagree about - regardless of there being evidence to contradict you in any way - you quite simply ignore. Not surprising whereas religion is basically 'belief' in otherworldly beings without the support (and denial) of any real-world evidence in favor of mythical dogma.

  • @AspiringforHim some of the tales really are good advice on how to be a good person, but so many things in the bible are horrible things. why does god need everyone to fear him. i dont get the "hey you, you have free will, but dont do this, this, this, this, this, and you have to do this, this, and this or else when you die you will be on fire. doesnt sound like the all loving god everyone raves about.

  • @mgsg50 Just think of it in the perspective of a parent. You know what's best for your child and what can help them to be a better person. As a parent, you'll do all you can to protect your child while not shackling them. So you give your child rules, but it is their choice to follow them. As a child, you know how to fear a parent. I feared my parents as well as loved them, but as I got older, my fear turned to love and respect. Just think, this is what God wants for all His children.

  • @AspiringforHim Maybe next time keep the patronizing language and outright lies to yourself hmmmkay?

  • @CommitToFocus Outright lies? You commented, and I answered with my opinion.

  • Or rather, some else commented ;-P

  • @AspiringforHim Yeah God took his time off of helping the hungering African babies, so that he could deal with YOUR petty sins. Narcisist.

  • @Chazorvigg I honestly think that out of this whole world, the African children are the farthest of anyone in need of Help.

As for loving myself ;-P Hehe, I do. Not, I think, in the way you believe, but more of in the knowledge that God truly cares about me despite my 'petty sins'. No sin is petty. Sounds cliche, but every sin we commit is driving the nails deeper. A Man went through death just so I could have five minutes of sinful pleasure and not pay the deadly consequences. :-)

  • @AspiringforHim im not trying to change your mind. i know that never works. im just trying to show someone whos trapped on the inside just how insane religion really is.

  • @mgsg50 I don't care if I'm insane ;-) I'm happy and filled with joy! =D

  • @AspiringforHim ... Fuck off, pray to your holy nothingness and get the fuck out.

  • @AspiringforHim you do, do you? Troll-o-meter: low |------o| high. Either you're trolling horribly or you're either multi-fucked in the head.

  • @Chazorvigg I don't understand your hate towards me. What have I done to you?

  • @AspiringforHim Jesus never dies on the cross go read "the bloodlines of the holy grail".

  • @BitchesDoGlitches Go read John 3:16.

  • @AspiringforHim go read a science book

  • @jukejuk Go read John 3:16

  • @AspiringforHim go read the Koran

  • @BitchesDoGlitches Go read John 3:16

  • @AspiringforHim "He has no backbone or base to his beliefs"

I notice you didn't provide 1 example in the history of the world of.......oh, never mind.

  • @KwikWon01 because he's Tim motherfucking Minchin that's why!

  • @KwikWon01 in his old show he talks about it, think he said it was because he likes the feeling of the ground, and he likes to be free and do what he wants.. if im wrong anyone can correct me =)

  • @KwikWon01 He also said something in the lines of :"Some people imagine their audience naked to cope with the stage fright, i do what i do at home: Walk around without shoes."

  • I'm jewish and i love this

  • I believe in the sun

  • I love his accent <3 better than my boring english one!

    SO DOES COT DEATH"

  • @MissKahli Oh I thought he said something else. XD

  • Hahahaha I was in such a bad mood..then he got to the fish and made me laugh so hard

  • His accent is so strange! Where is he from? (I'm not a native english speaker)

  • @marutidriver He's from Perth, Australia.

  • @marutidriver he is australian x

  • all hail fish lord tony! XD

  • Thank you Tim. I love my feet.

  • Tedious..

  • an awsome eveutionary idea and great comedy but im pretty sure they are just born completly different (george bush is just a special case)

  • I like the humor, and I love Tim, but in this specific case the oversimplification of the science really reinforces a lot of bad stereotypes about evolution, which really sucks. These morons don't need any more help being ignorant.

  • ahbahahaahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

    AND MY WIFE!!1

  • @countBismarck Because there isn't a god to stop him from being shit.

  • ...And my wife!

  • @longhelltime no i agree with it completly! but it just sounds so sad!

  • I really wish this country were a little more accepting, maybe I'd have a bigger chance of seeing him perform live more often. Or at least once. Either way, I'm in love with this man and I'd end up going to jail for rape. Just saying.

  • i'm a member of the church of tony

  • any one else notice he's barefooted? wearing a suite?

  • @TheDragonoverlord He's always barefoot

  • i wish we had good comedians in the states, fuck, why was i born here...

  • @roxorsoxor

you are unhappy about ur comedians? Try Germany...

  • @SixSixSixblood NO! NO! NO! I'am German... And those of us who care for a good and intelligent laugh, nearly allways head over to Eddi Izzard or Tim Minchin....

  • "Don't fly faster than your angel can fly"... couldn't Tim realize that it is just, ehm, a metaphor? Although i am maths student, i am also religious in an orthodox way, consuming the moral principles and teachings of the wise hoping to understand reality better through abstract thinking. All in religion is just collection of metaphores and teachings so i often laugh both to mechanic believers and mind-polluted atheists that yell on everyone different...

  • @GoranKami i'm pretty sure he realises it's a metaphor . . . he;s just making the point that the concept of angels is absolute bullshit

  • @gasstoff just for analogy, when i think about the story of Red Riding Hood, i don't stress my brain over how the hell can that wolf could even talk. how obvious would i look when i try to prove to people that the story isn't real.

Well, i do not worry about Tim's words as much i worry for the people in the audience that might have the perception of the religious people believing in physical existence of angels. I also wouldn't comment my point of view here if Tim werent the only one out there

  • @GoranKami Really...? Atheists don't like people who are different? Ever heard of the Spanish Inquisition? How many wars have been fought over an ancient tome? How many wars are still fought over an ancient tome? How many people have been tortured, killed, humiliated, and exiled because they didn't bow to YOUR god?

You say you are a student in an attempt to impose your mediocre intellectual thrust that makes you look foolish to everyone but yourself. Grow up.

  • @NathanIzHere I didn't say that atheists don't like people that are different, and who told you that i have a God?

  • @GoranKami From your first comment: . . . . "i often laugh both to mechanic believers and mind-polluted atheists that yell on everyone different" . . . .

  • @NathanIzHere Applause... couldn't have said it better myself.

  • @GoranKami yeah he realises it's a metaphor. "religious in an orthodox way"? wot

  • @decemberferret Orthodox Christian, (for example Russian, Greek and Serbian church)

  • @GoranKami Um. I think he actually meant 'orthodox' as in "standard"/"normal" or "traditional". I.e. Christianity with all the trimmings (miracles and all)

  • AND MY AXE!

  • I am now a Tim Minchin fan! I

  • LOLOLOLLOLOLOLOL

  • A fish mutant that gets legs in one generation plus able to breath outside water?! Tim gave a great parody of Evolution there. Cheers.

  • @rafishalom1 You'd have died of old age if you'd waited for him to do an act showing the entire process even if it was accelerated by a factor of a few thousand. Sure you'd prefer that?

  • @DGneoseeker1 Looks like one Minchin fan lacks a sense of humor. A form of devolution or didn't you have any in the first place? One thing I dislike about the people that always fight religion in the name of evolution is that they have no sense of humor - just like fanatic muslims.

  • @rafishalom1 Why would anyone without a sense of humour appreciate Tim Minchin?

Your troll sense has failed you.

  • @rafishalom1 I'm sorry, are you implying that "fanatic Muslims" fight religion in the name of evolution? There are so many scary assumptions going on here...

  • @TSmunt It looks like you have to improve on your reading skills. Nothing I wrote implies what you say.

  • Religion is the 'brown banana' in the 21st Century's 'Horn Of Cornucopia'.

  • this man is the next George Carlin! FUCK YEAH!!!!
