While I do sympathize with foreigners who have a great respect for Tibet, especially if they are Buddhist themselves, I think it shows what the most powerful people involved with the Free Tibet movement's goals are, that the main countries where the movement is based, are Japan, the UK and the US. The first two countries colonized China in the past, the second is the main economic competitor of China today, and all these countries' governments repressed many popular democracies around the world.

The death penalty still exists in many states in the US. The interesting thing is that Tibet abolished the death penalty in 1913 and showed Tibetans were quite advanced in their thinking 96 years ago.
The number of executions per year in China is greater than than all other countries combined. One reason for that is that heaps of money can be made from selling prisoners organs in China.
But sadly health Falun Gong practitioners who have committed no crime have their organ harvested as well.

It's a fact that the culture of the people of Tibet is very different from the Han culture.
Instead of crashing and destroying Tibetan culture the Chinese government should embrace the cultural diversity of the country and let keep their culture. It would still being part of China geographically but it would add an extra charm to the country.
