It really doesn't matter when the baby started laughing, before it swallowed or after. There was a chance that, anytime during the feeding, something unfortunate could've happened. Maybe even not during this mealtime. Maybe the next day or the day after that...ANYTIME. I gave the advice because it's just a dangerous thing to do.

@sekereterra I agree with you - she should not have put the food in the baby's mouth and then made him laugh. Even if he did not choke (it looked pretty liquidy) - he could have inhaled it into his lungs. I know a child who got pneumonia from inhaling yogurt. Yes, a beautiful, happy baby!!
