It truly is not a matter of what ending you get, remember, Amnesia is not played to win, but to immerse yourself in the environment and test your survival and puzzle solving abilities. This is a similar aspect to the series Penumbra, made by the creators of Amnesia, several endings based on the decisions you made. None of the endings for Amnesia are supposed to truly be "epic" there is still a sense of accomplishment after the terrifying journey is all said and done
