As many have said, I think pets will hint or reveal secrets of the cave, I'm thinking, since you could make werewolves in the sims 2, this may be a feature to pets, possibly leading to a very big hint, or even the full story on the cave.
(also a total random note which in my mind makes no sense at all, just immaging, wad the Bella goth mystery ever solved? If not, is it at all possible that she was turned into a werewolf and has been hiding in the cave?)

Maybe the railroad tracks ended in the Miiltary Base becasue in the Sims 2 when Bella Goth got abducted, maybe it wasn't aliens, maybe the military invented a time machine they went into the past from TwinBrook into the desert place in the Sims 2 and the Military People in the UFO abducted Bella in their UFO and brought her to the Future, where Bella is like, an adult and her and her boyfriend learned how to make a Time Machine from the Military People, so maybe the Military.

It's a EasterEgg EA create loads of them in Expansion packs they did in Sims2 aswell. They send you on a huge Easter egg hunt like this cave to try and solve whats really happening loads of games do it like GrandTheftAutoSanAndreas ghost cars and myths and stuff.

I think there are aliens in the cave. If you look around Sunset Valley there are some drawings on the boulders and one of them is a bunch of Sims and a U.F.O!
1st of all we all see the ! that gives away excitement, like AHH! MY FOOTS ON FIRE! lol
2nd if you look at the other ! in front of the E shaped letter, that could just be a backwords i
3rd if you look at the symbols it appears to have 7 letters, sooooo what ever reson they closed the mine is mostly because what ever it in it, and the train station knows about it, because why would you put warning! on just a normal cave?

And ur right, it defenitly shows that it's no ordinary cave, or something bad or unusual happened there. Or maybe it's a warning because there is a monster (the eyes) in there, so they caged it off! I think its like a BIG MYSTERY that you can solve using the Investigator Profession, the game's lifetime wish for Investigator says that the lifetimte wish can be granted after 35 cases, sooooooooo, get the flow?
I could almost buy ambitions just to get Twin brooks. I kinda miss the creepiness of Strangetown mysteries in Strangetown TS2. This seems to be in my taste.

sunnet vally and twinbrook use to be one but the goths took sunnet vally and just left the town there becase of the creepy thing that was happing that is the story and there is another town to but i can spill all that out
My guess it's going to be a train line between different regions without loading. Next the will eith bring out a big city region or a expansion mixed with nightlife and seasons. And the train system is going to be an easier way to move between the towns cities and night club districs.
The green sewage is probably CRAP. Hahaa....I think Twinbrook is a pretty cool town. Creepy too. There's a lot of swamps and destroyed bridges and all that. I think something big happened there.
