  • this is what i mean about thugs in the police force

  • occupy the FED!!

  • Idiots climbing a fence - so what. This improves conditions in America how?? lol!!

  • They should not have entered onto the vacant lot without permission

  • I salute this clergyman. He's the few good men who chose to do what is right.

  • @101skysthelimit choosing to do what is right by trespassing on privater property? Not him, not a good man, you can protest all you want but when you cross the line, you cross the line.

  • the cops who bound those priest's have no idea what the Vatican can do! because of this arrest, no doubt speedy emails went between the elements of Vatican Authority!

  • @acerb45666555

    These are not Catholic Clergy

  • @CarlosBarrera393 .......theyre Anglicans??

  • @acerb45666555

Episcopalians but pretty much the same thing.

  • If your so "committed" to your cause, why did'nt you cut the fence for access so all the clowns could "occupy"? Perhaps better, you could have even demanded ALL the clowns climb the fence! Then you could have had a "clown convention".

I think I'll start a movement to "occupy occupy".

  • Damn those people have never jumped a fence before

  • I'm trying to understand you foks butt it does not make a lot of senice the people you hate are the ones who will give me my job .plus if you want to make a statement why cover your face.somebody has to be backing this movement food tents cost money.I work 70 hours a week to get ahead its not easy butt if I can do it there's hope .a idea is great but look a what and whom you are fighting .your movement has not changed any thing butt getting people put in jail

  • @mroaddogtiny Very well said. Keep working hard my friend, through good times and bad. In the end it will pay off.

  • What would Jesus do? Grab a whip and drive out some bankers!

  • so they arest a Bishop for being with ows but if the same Bishop had molested a child they wouldn't do shit. nypd has some real screwed up priorities

  • Piss off catholics arrest a cardinal. great idea!!!

  • If more people had watched Fox news they would understand that these people are communist terrorist.

  • @blomstersenter Watching Faux News on pot is a really bad idea...

  • When the Clergy get arrested your already in HELL

  • Defending an empty lot ?

  • This movement will not stop until corporate tyranny ends!

  • Arresting a PRIEST

how low can these people get?

  • Looks like the church is occupying the occupy movement. The first appointment in the occupy movement was no religions. So what is this religion doing here,

  • USA getting worst than communist Cuba. THIS COUNTRY IS HELL.

  • Why don't you occupy a job???

  • @sam7231 You win the award for most out of touch over used phrase ever, congratulations! If this was simply a matter of jobs then there would not be a protest, please try look into things before you talk about them in the future.

  • @sam7231 Why don't you occupy reality.

  • @FightingGatorz The reality why the smartest 1% control a disproportionate amount of wealth is because they are supersmart, work long hours and take risks! If you are in the dumbest 10% you will find it difficult to get a job.or can only get a job at McDonalds.

  • @sam7231 Aww, thats what you think? How cute.

  • @sam7231 Most of the 1% inherited their wealth. In fact, that's the purpose of repealing the Estate Tax, which only affests the top 1%, so that the country can be run by the pampered idiot children of people who may or may not have been smart and/or hard working. It's called serfdom. So yeah, Horatio Alger is my favorite fantasy novelist too...

  • @83169 To right

  • were do they find all these useful idiots/cops.. they are mindless drones following orders that suppress themselves along with humanity. I cant say I would shed a tear if they were to die.

  • The NYPD show themselves as corporate dupes. I'd bet they think the 1% will show them "gratitude" once they're no longer needed to act tough and keep the citizenry "in line." The fools.

So far the Detroit Police are behaving with TRUE professionalism. They're also painfully aware that WE are on THEIR side in the city/county/state attempts to eviscerate the contracts — especially collective bargaining — for all municipal employees, including police, fire fighters, teachers, et al. Wise up, NYPD.

  • Occupy is a disgusting organization and it should be made clear that those so called "clergymen" were not in fact true Christians but filthy heretics.

  • @CarlosBarrera393 ... Sorry for attempting to fix the world..? If you believe in religion you're automatically ignorant anyway so your argument is invalid.

  • @o00osimbasmateo00o

Actually if you don't believe in religion, you are ignorant of God's existence.

  • @CarlosBarrera393 all the smart people are.

  • @CarlosBarrera393 You are the type to consider the test of a "true Christian" to be how successful they are because the Devil NEVER tempts someone's greed or vanity.

  • @CarlosBarrera393 - Jesus would be on the 1% side? I highly doubt that.

  • @CarlosBarrera393 I will take this as a confession that modern Christianity is nothing more than a tax evading pyramid scheme that likes to also harass other groups who do not conform to their ideology.

I love how the aggressive Christians try and denounced any Christian who tries to fight for others or help others.

  • @drakewingfire

    @SpitfireOFatj

These people are the same people who attacked Catholic Church's in Italy and set cars on fire, because that type of stuff "makes a difference in the world". They are not true Christians. They do not follow Christ's teachings. Christ said, "If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to them your other cheek.", not "If you don't get enough money, blow up cars and defecate on sidewalks."

  • you must check this out because it's very similar to occupy wall street :D omg you'll be so happy to watch this: watch?v=o54n7HXwOhc&feature=related

  • When your job's on the line....

  • If they were really smart instead of just working from their Dic*s. They would realize it is much better to allow people the freedom of speech now instead of waiting until there is a real revolution. They, gov't officials, are inciting potential riots. It would be much smarter, not too mention democratic, to listen to what we all have to say. When the sh*t hits the fan they have no one to blame but themselves. We should be suing the gov't for over stepping it's boundaries. .

  • Clergy members / bums off the street. Same shit to me. I don't know why it's expected they be treated more special because being a clergy member.

  • Thet can't arrest pedophiles because they are under the church's protection ... this Bishop is not protected by the church ... A very brave man .. God Bless him!

  • The Bishop now knows some of the things that have happened to other innocents and joins with them in the hellish pits of our jails. There they will see all of him in humiliation, there they will ID him and dress him in orange, there they will send him to the same judge as his master.

Rome will find him guilty and never know the times are changing until it's too late. Rome, It's Too Late Now, Come spring Into action, followed by the summer of Rome's fall.

  • @danthor999 Im pretty sure you meant to say Vatican. Rome and the Vatican are two completely different things.

  • that priest was the sacrifice..

  • Was the members of the clergy that were arrested part of the Trinity Church?

  • Americans are now being treated like palestinians.

  • How many people are in that movement today ? Is it getting bigger ? Are you going to celebrate

    Fuckgiving Day ?

  • Religious nutters joining hippies.

There must be a god. :)

  • @jtbpnw I find it sad how people want to claim the Occupy Movement is a bunch of "Hippies" or "Commies". The people who claim that are the ones actually trying to relive the 60's because they LOST the last time. History showed they were WRONG about supporting the Vietnam War and it will show they are WRONG in their claim that what's good for Wall Street is what's good for America.

BTW: Nixon was a Quaker and they condemned him for Vietnam.

  • @SpitfireOFatj First off, I was just yanking you nutters chain. Secondly I don't give a damn what Nixon was... irrelevant... so was Vietnam. Don't try and play yourselves off like you have anything in common with people that really cared about this country and did something about it. Many of those people are my hero's. You people are complete zero's compared to them.

  • @jtbpnw I find it funny when Conservatives try to claim the Founders as their own when they were as anti-establishment as it gets. To go against the King back then was to go against God and both Conservatives and Big Business of the time were Loyalists.

  • @SpitfireOFatj Hippies didnt lose man, they revolutionized politics forever, And ended the war.

  • @SpitfireOFatj hahaha stupid american young poeple keep wasting time lol Soon Islam has nuclear We Occupy You, and cant do nothing about it lol

  • I think that priest is the first real christian I have ever seen in my life :-)

  • @abusivepersian You need to get out more... And kill your television...

  • @83169 Seriously, try visiting a charity hospital... A soup kitchen... A Habitat For Humanity project... A food pantry... We're everywhere...

  • @83169 The Christ of the Gospels is a young radical idealist with contempt for both empire and the banksters who corrupted the temple (sound familiar?), who distributed free food, healing and unconditional love to the disenfranchised, and whose followers created an underground network of Kibbutzim and Moshavim throughout the empire. What part of that sounds like the right-wing agenda?

  • Comment removed

  • @abusivepersian How ? because he let a few guys in uniform put him into a van ? ... but yea i guess he was nonviolent and submissive whatever maybe he made some impact on the people watching it hmm.

  • @zdude747 because he knows what's right and wrong and despite his age and his position he risked his well-being and his career to do what he believed was right. Its all good to sit in church every week with your family, pay a few bucks their way, care solely about your family. Every evil heartless bastard in history has done just that but it takes real believer with real moral fiber to sacrifice what you have in order to fight not solely for yourself but for complete strangers as well.

  • Why is it that my thumbs up an thumbs down button only work for certain videos and comments? Is this another tactic for controlling public opinion? What have we become and what are we becoming when questions such as these have to be asked, and when 7 out of 10 times it actually is a tactic for controling public opinion?

  • Bon courage et bonne continuation à tous les américains qui ont ouvert les yeux!!! Je suis de tout coeur avec vous, OUI un autre monde est possible!!!! namasté

  • How is this not proof that the United States is a Police State:

Why did the US invade Afghanistan, Libya, and Iraq surely wasn't for Civil Rights.

  • Its heartbreaking to want to support what the protesters do, but can't really do it because of the 1% of people who act like idiots when they get together with a crowd.

  • @Bowyerma You can participate by boycotting the corporations that are ripping off the American people and by wring letters and emails to your elected officials. Go for it!

  • @003andyt that would be pretty much all of them, they do everything for me the only way I would be able to escape the grasp of corporations is basically to live out in the middle of nowhere and become a subsistance farmer. I wrote to my senator congressman, and president and only got a computer generated bullcrap letter back and now my email is loaded up with a bunch of crap now. Its a one party system, having expectations with these corrupt pieces of crap is unrealistic.

  • As a member of this National *Episcopal (Protestant) Church* I can tell you that we don't suffer from the R. Catholic rot of priest sex abuse at epidemic proportions & would certainly discipline any predators in our midst. So let's get that misperception straight at the outset. I totally believe in Jesus' notion of radical hospitality and uprising against the mega-landowner and today's 1% -- even if they include our own membership.

  • We live in a military state

  • I had heard that they were given permission to occupy that park but apparently that was false. The Trinity Church gave permission in Boston but not Daurta Park NY. This same church, it is said, owns the property on which the stock exchange sits on. If this is true, it would have sent a powerful message to Wall St had the permission been granted. The Council of Elders of Trinity Church have written a letter To Rev. Cooper, pleading for the church to grant permission.

  • kudos to the clergy who are actually LIVING the teachings of Jesus by standing up against the 'moneychangers'!

  • We in India have a method of protest called Jail Bharo means that so many people offer to arrest to the authorities that the do not have enough men to either process or hold you.

Completely non violent and extremely effective, I think the next phase should be called occupy prison cells.

The authorities will not even know what hit them.

  • @abhijitvmehta this sounds like an excellent strategy that would be very useful here in US, thanks for sharing and we stand with you too!

  • @oneirishpoet Thanks and this is a fight for everyone who has ever been cheated, oppressed and neglected by the very government that represents them.

  • Those are not police. They are stormtroopers

  • whats with the hatered for this clergy guy in the comments?

i thought hes on the side of the protesters

  • The rich never see this. Let's start marching on sidewalks of gated communities.

  • Comment removed

  • Arresting clergymen has been long overdue....

  • jesus tired of occupy wallstreet protesters being soo god damn irritating.

  • @BrokenSp00n Jesus was the first occupier dumbass

  • @BrokenSp00n Sounds like you like being a slave to corporatism.

  • @BrokenSp00n Jesus tired of Neocon war mongers killing His children ( all men are the sons of God see 82ond Psalm ). Notice before the Gulf wars we were OK and then poof! the whole thing heads South. Read the sign's. War needs money, so God takes money away. If you persist, maybe He'll light up Yellowstone.

  • thx Reagan u piece of shit, this is your legacy

  • this the freedom in USA worst than Syria,

  • What was the point of this? Serious question***

  • @reaperrules98 The point is the middle class has been sytematically destroyed in America over the last 30+ years, I for one am sick of it.

Did you not read that now 50% of Americans are now living below the poverty line ? The rich have increased thier incomes 300% in the last 10 years, and they pay less in taxes. A lot of points are being made !!!!!!

  • @jaddison1112 Hey for the record, i've been at occupy wall street (when it was just a small group) since day eleven. Thanks for informing me though, brother. It's good to let people know what's going on. I just want to know what was the point in them going in there? What were they wishing to accomplish by hoping over the fence? I don't understand from the video, hence why i asked.

  • I'm a happy youtuber :)

  • I CAN FEEL THE LOVE AND INTELLECTUAL AND SPIRITUAL FREEDOM THEY BRING IN MY PROTEST AGAINST OUR PLANETS DESTRUCTION

  • This video fails to show the part where police started getting violent. The police were jabbing the protesters with night sticks when the protesters were doing nothing violent.

  • WHO’S REALLY COSTING TAX PAYERS

Over past 4 years Murdoch’s U.S.-based News Corp.including FOX made money on income taxes. Having earned $10.4 billion, News Corp. expected to pay $3.6 billion at 35 percent corporate tax rate. Instead, it collected $4.8 billion in tax refunds, nearly all from the U.S. government.

Rupert Murdoch donates $1m to Republican party

  • @tomuchbabble Writer for lewrockwell. In February 2003, a Florida Court of Appeals unanimously agreed with an assertion by FOX News that there is no rule against distorting or falsifying the news in the United States.

1% supporters getting paid with your taxes to convince you to support them,

  • I don't get this, is it marked as no trespassing? Why is this area fenced off? Doesn't this belong to the people already?

  • Leaving out the crucial part? Why? This quote is Jefferson explaining how the Indians view right of property... NOT Jefferson's view of property. Your censored quote fundamentally alters what Jefferson was saying.

"The right to moveables is acknowledged by all the hordes of Indians surrounding us. Yet by no one of them has a separate property in lands been yielded to individuals. He who plants a field keeps ...." --Thomas Jefferson: Batture at New Orleans, 1812. ME 18:45

  • “A right of property in movable things is admitted before the establishment of government. A separate property in lands not till after that establishment…. He who plants a field keeps possession of it till he has gathered the produce, after which one has as good a right as another to occupy it. Government must be established and laws provided, before lands can be separately appropriated and their owner protected in his possession.” — Thomas Jefferson

  • “Another means of silently lessening the inequality of [landed] property is to exempt all from taxation below a certain point, and to tax the higher portions or property in geometrical progression as they rise.” — Thomas Jefferson

“Landlords grow richer in their sleep, without working, risking, or economizing. The increase in the value of land, arising as it does from the efforts of an entire community, should belong to the community and not to the individual who might hold title.” — J.S. Mill

  • “Men did not make the earth… It is the value of the improvement only, and not the earth itself, that is individual property… Every proprietor owes to the community a ground rent for the land which he holds.” — Thomas Paine

“Ground rents are a species of revenue which the owner, in many cases, enjoys without any care or attention of his own. Ground rents are, therefore, perhaps a species of revenue which can best bear to have a peculiar tax imposed upon them.” — Adam Smith

  • “God gave the world in common to all mankind. Whenever, in any country, the proprietor ceases to be the improver, political economy has nothing to say in defense of landed property. When the “sacredness” of property is talked of, it should be remembered that any such sacredness does not belong in the same degree to landed property.” — John Locke

  • “It is quite true that unearned increments in land are not the only form of unearned or undeserved profit which individuals are able to secure; but it is the principal form of unearned increment which is derived from processes which are not merely not beneficial, but which are positively detrimental to the general public.” — Winston Churchill

“The earth, therefore, and all things therein, are the general property of all mankind, from the immediate gift of the Creator.” — William Blackstone

  • “For as labor cannot produce without the use of land, the denial of the equal right to use of land is necessarily the denial of the right of labor to its own produce.” — Henry George

“The equal right of all men to the use of land is as clear as their equal right to breathe the air... For we cannot suppose that some men have a right to be in this world, and others no right.” — Henry George

“How can a man be said to have a country when he has not right of a square inch of it.” — Henry George

  • “Moreover the profit of the Earth is for all….” — Ecclesiastes 5:9

“The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is Mine, for ye are strangers and sojourners with Me. And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.” — Leviticus 25:23-24

“How can you buy or sell the sky — the warmth of the land? The idea is strange to us… Every part of this earth is sacred to us.” — Chief Seattle

  • @yodellikeyoumeanit09 too right you are.

  • Can't arrest a priest for pedophilia but they can get them for standing in an open space? Let's get our priorities straight!

  • @yodellikeyoumeanit09 Children mean nothing. Money means everything.

  • @yodellikeyoumeanit09 I see and agree with your point but not all are tarred with the same brush and they are tryinmg to help by showing they agree and support the protestors ... this is very heroic on their part ... I doubt they will be welcomed back by the church with open arms ... accept their support in the only way they can help.

  • @yodellikeyoumeanit09 : not all priest are Catholic, and some of them actually marry, such as Anglican, etc.

  • @yodellikeyoumeanit09 : but yeah, I agree with what you are saying.. somehow I don't think the guilty priests would want to protest for freedom, perhaps? This is great that EVERYONE is protesting :)

  • @yodellikeyoumeanit09 you make a valid point, but must understand that historically that has always been a part of their "religious" belief system, just one reason why i don't do "religions"

  • As an anti-theistic atheist I detest what the church is and stands for for the most part. But today I'm a little less angry at them (until the next child molestation case comes up).

  • @TheAnubisDrake Divisive pride & pompous worthiness & greed cults are the problem.. Religion is literally a broad church with all kinds of ideas.. Even in Islam there are atheistic/deistic forms.

When ppl are seriously fucked up, they go insane.

What matters is whether there is a cynical profiteering puppet master or a fair and just creed, the deeper meaning is in our humanity.

Not all priests are evil bigots sucking corp Koch.

I'm not religious, but if I was..

    watch?v=yZM3FXlLMug

  • @marsCubed I was specifically talking about the Catholic Church, which was the one represented in the video.

  • Facebook is blocking me from posting in Occupy San Francisco's comments. Any one care to join me in front of Wells Fargo Bank Corporate Headquarters with a sign stating that, "Ebenezer Scrooge is alive and well in San Francisco, not even a lump of coal in our Christmas Stockings to keep us warm".

    Jose F. Medeiros

    408-256-0649

  • @Josemedeiros LOL sounds like a good idea. Maybe Occupiers all over the America should protest at local Bank of America branches, Wells Fargo, and Morgan Stanley

  • One guy had a good point. While space is used, why not let homeless use it or use it temporarily.

  • thank u michael 4 all u do

  • Its not about protecting space, as someone mentioned in the clip, its about controlling you all like cattle because that is how the 1% views you all. You aren't happily being milked any longer and that scares the living shit out of them.

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri These are people who deserve to have the shit scared out of them.

  • Excellent & thanks, Michael! Happy HOLIDAYS 2u,,,2~ [Bought 5 'Here Comes Trouble' Books for XMAS Gifts this year & also requested 'they' pass along to other interested readers. The Best 2u~ Over'N'Out 4Now, Gary L Hagar, Madison, Wisconsin.
