The European Union claims to be "green". The Strasbourg Parliament requires the movement of around 5000 people, loads of lorries (paper work etc.) which I think might cause a litlle pollution? Also The MEPs still get paid though effectively lose a day's work. To me it demonstrates the total lack of democracy that is The EU. I suffer from deep European induced depression. I hate Europe. I want my country back!
Strange, insulting and ultimately "racist" question. How can the rational relevance of an argument depend on one's origin, race, gender, color etc. Citizenship is not a relevant factor. Learning from History and trying to minimize over-concentrations of power is the issue. The weakness of human nature means abuses of power are more probable if it is concentrated. All else is "commentary". I hope you will in the future refrain from ad hominem attacks. Unless you prefer a lack of honest debate?
see democratieeuropeenne . eu, all-Brussels increases the democratic deficit and centralizes Europe. The solution is to clearly separate powers, executive Brussels, judiciary Luxemburg and legislative Strasbourg. Since Strasbourg is cheaper, taxpayers would save billions. Why do those who fight a Superstate want to centralize Europe more? If Europe becomes super-centralized as a consequence of moving Parliament to Brussels, History will condemn those people as 21st century "useful idiots".
