Does the police in Bolivia investigate this type of crime? The answer is that community justice has been in place in Bolivia preceding the colonial so called "justice"system. Most police investigation takes place only for a selected group of people. This is what the Evo Morales gov is trying to address, I support their effort.

Like I said, check out info about Victor Hugo Cardenas, he was a good leader, and he was indigenous. In case you didnt notice, Chavez is a military, and of course I dont support Pinochet, he was a dictator, just like Chavez, although Pinochet was right winged. I dont have so much wealth to keep safe hahaha.

Well whatever Obama does, I am sure it will not be his intention to make the USA weaker or less influential. But I would seriously doubt that the Obama administration will adhere to the Bush Doctrine and to the practice of alienating its traditional European allies.
Whatever the case all countries conduct a foreign policies that it suit its best interests. No country conducts an altruistic foreign policy.

You just assume a bunch of things about people because you cant see beyond your limited mentality. All I have is what my parents worked their ass of for, my moms family having grown up in the countryside too. Its easy just to support Evo from the states where you got everything. I would be glad to give up something for a larger good, but this is not the case. That is why so many indigenous people are against Evo too, because its just a show diguised as a revolution.

Yeah man, the freaken people in Washington DC are paying me to post comments on youtube. The disturbance on Pando was because some indigenous people in Pando do not agree with Evo Morales, so they protested and got killed by the army. People on both sides got killed. Alvaro Garcia Linera, was a terrorist that had many victims, including two little kids. Yes, Evo promotes racial hatred, calling people who have lighter skins k'aras (a despective term), and he promotes division in the country.

"the new constitution {is} one of the most progresive documents ever written" who told you that? its simply ridiculous. What happens is that Evo Morales preys on your feelings of guilt and makes people see him as a "poor little indian" that finally got to power to make everything just. It would be really nice if he did make things just for poor people, it would be nice if he was another Nelson Mandela, but reality is different. Evo Morales is just an opportunist.

You might be referring to me since Im from Bolivia. In fact, Im from Cochabamba, which is not part of "la media luna" and I would like to see you living here. Im not racist or fascist at all. I consider all people my equals, but when you have mobs lynching people for stealing (the people that were stealing were poor too) or for no reason, a line has to be drawn. And the "indians" as you call them, have come into Cochabamba city, many times before, so, if youre not informed, get yourself informed

This is a challenging situation that highlights the tension between State power & decentralization of that power. I understand Morales' desire to grant indigenous groups the autonomy that was taken from them. At the same time, & maybe this is just "Western bias," but I do think some kind of standardized trial system should be required that includes a hearing, presentation of evidence, & so on.

the scope of al Jazeera's coverage of world events is amazing. the world for CNN, Fox and others is just the United States. if news do not concern the US, they don't report it. Al Jazeera is truly a global channel; therefore they are afraid of it.

You should explain that the new constitution will grant the different nations inhabiting Bolivia broad rights of self determination. The side of the villagers should be shown and not a report attempting to show a well comprehensible reaction (under such circumstances) as a barbaric act of pre-civilized people.

I am from Bolivia, and trust me, there is no trial or evidence needed to get lynched by a mob in these rural towns. All you need to do is be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Lynching is part of everyday life here in Bolivia, and nobody is exempt from it, children, people with mental and physical handicaps, etc. Most people who are victims of lynching, are inocent. The new constitution makes lynching legal, with no trial and no need of evidence of any crime.

Im not kidding unfortunately, the new constitution declares that each autoctonous peoples can have their own means of justice, that means, whatever they choose to do is legal. So, I dont know what will happen when there is conflict of interests between different autoctonous groups for instance. Also lynching occurs in country towns all the time, sometimes even in certain parts of the city,and the new constitution wants to make it legal.Lynching is called"community justice"in the new constitution
