  • awesome show guy...well done!!!!

That looked so good and I am not even a vegetarian. I dont know about you guys but here in Florida fruits and vegies are pricey., and it is unfortunate because that looks like a great meal for a week night

  • You are awesome

  • Rebecca has really pretty eyes! owo

  • that fuckin looks delicious!

  • well i do like my meat but I will have to give this a try!

  • I am going to make this dish tomorrow...but how do i make a puff pastry?

  • You can just buy it.

  • Can you do New Years and or Christmas part decorations?

I know it's not totally that time yet.

Buuuut. I'm away at school, not going home for Thanksgiving (totally depressing) and I'm having a New Years or Christmas Party with my friends and family when I get home.

I want to start on my decorations now

  • OMG! I want that shroom timer! Where can I get one?

  • oooh me to that timer is so cute!!! I'm going to go look on ebay!

  • I think her shirt says "The Jesus & Mary Chain"

  • Awesome vid!

What does her shirts say, though?

  • I wish we celebrated thankgiving in Sweden. It looks so fun on tv ;P

  • DUUUUDEEEE!!!!! I was born on thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!

  • me too!

  • Too bad this video was done after the canadain thanksgiving : (

  • make a diy on the orange apron!

  • Working Class Foodies = <3333

  • LOL the first part XDDD food...food...food...pie.

  • :O ! I LOVE WORKING CLASS FOODIES!

  • Tip for things to go smoothly: Go with the flow! One of my favorite Thanksgivings was when the family van broke down on our way to grandma's and we waited at a gas station through dinner and had nachos and other convienence store items. Thanksgiving isn't about special food, it's about special people enjoying food together :D

  • my mom's birthday is on thanksgiving this year, too! lol

    that egg timer is AWESOME!

  • I think the milk spoiled the vegetarian aspect of the recipe.

  • That would be vegan..

  • The puff pastry and the egg wash would also need to be removed to make it 'vegan'.

I mentioned the milk because it is a significant ingredient in this recipe. That would be like saying a bowl of cereal is also vegetarian.

  • Isn't the difference between vegan and vegetarian eating not eating just the meat part (animal is dead) versus not even eating product (animal still lives)?

  • vegetarians dont eat meat.

vegans dont eat meat or use any animal products (meat, eggs, milk, leather)

some vegans are only vegan eaters (so they can still use leather they just wont EAT animal products)

but im pretty sure most of them dont use any animal products at all. :)

  • @whynotlarene I don't understand the "animal still lives" comment. Cows only make milk because they are pregnant, after the calf is born it is seperated from it's mother slaughtered for veal. Dairy cattle also have a high risk of becoming downer cattle who are so sick they cannot walk or stand and they are often dragged and tortured into the slaughterhouse. Dairy cattle still die, I guess some ppl believe they had a better life because they lived longer? More like 'suffered' longer.

  • Sounds like you understood it to me ;) I'm not saying anything about eating this or that or anything inbetween is right or wrong or anything, I just know there is a difference in the terms when it comes to some peoples dietary wishes. "luvminmuzik" worded it better.

  • I'm fairly sure you could use soy milk and biscuit dough to make this a vegan dish and just skip the egg wash because all it really does is make the top crust crunchier.

  • Why did meg say, "this is ridiculous"? In our place if we ever say that as a compliment we'd really get into trouble, lol.

  • LOL I noticed that too, I think she meant like, ridiculously awesome, or something to that extent, but yea I agree it was a little off setting without the awesome. :P

  • I always use ridiculous as a compliment! :)

  • Where can you get those cute timers like that?

  • I love working class foodies.!!!

  • my brothers bday is on thanksgiving too (: lmao

  • that mushroom timer...i needs it

  • Can you use soy or almond milk instead of regular whole milk?

  • We have a mixed thanksgiving. I am vegan so when we go to my mom's there is vegan and omni food. I am a baker so this year I am making a vegan pumpkin cheesecake and pumpkin pie...I also always bring my boyfriend's mom's red rice to the meal!

  • my husbands 28th birthday falls on thanksgiving too!

  • I'm turning 28 on thanksgiving :)

  • Glad to see the team work. Two of my favorite podcasts together. Sweet!

  • oh my goodness... that looks delicious... thanks!

  • x.x But I hate kale, parsnips, and leeks. And I despise turnips with my soul.

We've been using a large wooden bowl filled with unusual, colorful gourds for our decoration, and some plain beeswax candles.

  • I loved the t-shirt the presenter is wearing!

  • Meg looks like she's sixteen.

  • "Is that all you think about?"

    "Pie."

  • I wanna know what you paid for that vintage pitcher they are not cheap.

  • I love you decorationt but... the recipe.. hem hem how can i say... is the usual brit-american overcooked stodge :S

  • im so glad u guys r back from ur break!!!!!

  • Ughh looks disqusting,yuch xD

    srry4badenglish

  • That looked really good. I think I might have to make some for Thanksgiving, or maybe Christmas. :) With Corinne working the camera, I sure hope you guys saved one for her.

  • I'm assuming this would work just as well with diced meat or something similar?

  • Meg are you Veg?

  • she looks like Kirsten Dundst

  • she has beautiful eyes

  • i like to make my stuffing with packaged stuffing and adding in all the usual yummy suspects to make it interesting. Then I bake it in cupcake tins with the foil cupcake papers. This way everyone gets their own individual serving of stuffing and they dont have to fight over who getts the yummy crispy edges. I call them "Stuffin' Muffins"

  • hmm im gunna have to tweak this for my vegan needs

  • lol i love the beginning :]

  • looks gud! i wish i could make that for thanksgiving

  • Oh god that's disgusting DX

But then again i'm the fussiest eater I've ever met. 3 year olds eat a more varied diet than me.

  • I can easily veganize this. Root vegetables, gravy and puff pastry - yum!

  • I found it funny when Rob and Corinne just suddenly came in the picture hehe :D But I love you guys though! Missed your vids.... Make a DIY vid soon!

  • food..... pie

  • dry cornstarch into hot milk? lets avoid lumps and mix that cornstarch with alittle cold water first.

  • @HeavenlyMakeUp er... cold water makes cornstarch lumpy....

  • no, if you mix your cornstarch with a couple of tablespoons of cold water before adding it to your hot stuff its much easier to combine :)

  • yeah I always thought adding cornstarch to het makes lumps!

  • Cool you´re back! Missed your inspirations!

  • I totally agree! Awesome egg timer!! Kawaii!

  • looks sooo good!

and that girl has gorgeous eyes.

  • i LOVE working class foodies!

  • Um..you said 20 minutes, but you only set the timer for 15...

  • oh but btw that timer was the cutest thing I've ever seen!

  • oh Meg, i love your episodes!

  • Awesome shirt!

  • FYI unless you want a lumpy sauce I'd mix the corn starch into a little bit of cold milk before whisking it into the simmering milk.

  • MEG! where did you get that timer! so cute!

  • 1. kale carrots parsnip turnip potato, sweet potato, squash, leeks, peeled, chop, olive oil, salt, pepper, fresh rosemary, whole garlic, +/- vegetable broth, 400 degree oven, 35 minutes, turning occasionally.

    2. whole milk, salt, simmer. corn starch. 1/4-1/2 c sherry. fresh rosemary.

    3. mix milk with roasted vegetables.

    4. pan covered w/ aluminum foil to avoid messy clean up.

    5. fill 3/4 crock pot w/ vegetables

    6. cover with puff pastry brushed w/ egg whites.

    7. bake for 20 mins.

    8. eat.

  • I love that timer!

  • This is awesome! Thanks. My birthday falls on Thanksgiving sometimes too! This year it's on a tuesday though :(

  • I LOOOOVE REBECCA & WorkingClassFoodies :]

  • Looks great! I'm in charge of making a few dishes for Thanksgiving this year... I may add this one in, if I can find enough cups/mugs/bowls for 12 people! :P

  • Aww it's all so cute and yummy looking!

  • AMG!!!! I love your kitchen timer!!! *_*

  • Find the "vintage" type dishes at your local American Red Cross Center, Goodwill, or Salvation Army outlet. You'll be surprised how formal you can dress your table for very little money.

  • i love how meg is like the modern martha stewart and yet still has cool tatoos

  • Hey your beagle has the same thought bubble as my beagle!! All she wants all day, all the time is food. lol

  • cool timer :D

  • i love the thankful tree idea

im gonna make everyone do that at my family thanksgiving

    :D

  • A way to make your guests feel like part of the family or that they helped with the cooking, ask them to either help set the table or clean up afterwards. I find this a useful tip during any major holidays.

  • Meg is beautiful

  • OMGushers were they twins.... 0.o... LOve Rebecca! Love Meg! LOVE the ULTRA CUTE CANINES!!!

  • that has to be the cutest egg timer I've ever seen

  • instant props for capturing the essence of a beagle's personality <3

  • Uhhhh... thanksgiving was in OCTOBER!!! lol

    A bit late...

  • In the USA, thanksgiving is in november

  • @vintage007 The Threadbanger people are in the US and our Thanksgiving is next week. It would have been nice if they would have done some of this earlier for Canadian viewers though.

  • ummm...what?

do you live in a different country or something?

  • Yeah, in Canada, Thanksgiving is in October... I thought most Canadians were aware that it's different in the US, though. I certainly am. Let's just hope vintage007 was having a little brain fart...

  • the timer is cute :D

  • those look so...good...

  • Lol at the begining and the "tough" look with the cooking aprons on

    You guys are awesom!

  • that looks deeeelicious

  • The working class foodies duo are awesome!

  • I am grateful for vintage dishware too.

  • I love these girl's style. Threadbanger just made Thanksgiving cool.

  • It is so cool that you are repping for vegetarians. Bravo!

And the dogs were fantastic! So cute those dogs.

  • Vegetarians in the house! Rebecca was so rad to co-host.

  • And Meg's dishware is out-of-control cool! You have such great taste.

  • I love the dishes and pots!

  • ugggg! You had me hungry to you added the cherry. That stuff i cant even smell it without gagging.

  • did she just say kick ass? tsktsk hahha there are kids watching!

  • Ant kid old enough to use a stove can hear the word "ass". LOL!

  • Where did you get the mushroom timer? it's really cute =w=

  • hey can you make more DIY clothes like you use to .. im sick of decor it yourself

  • I love Decor It Yourself.

  • This is AWESOME! The food looks delicious and I love the Jesus and Mary Chain + apron combo.

  • That is THE cutest timer ever.

  • oh yum! now I have something to make my brother!! :):)

  • I thought vegetarians didn't eat eggs? anyway, they look good but I'd probably try and fit a bit of meat into it if I were making them.

We dont have thanksgiving here though so it'd just be to try something new =D

  • vegans dont eat eggs

  • there are a few "egg substitute" products

  • There are a a lot of vegetarians who don't eat eggs either.

  • Looks lovely!

  • What happened with quality, it's lower than usual. But still i'm giving 5/5

  • hadnt been fully processed yet. It was fine for me

  • What about those veggies that don't eat dairy products? oO

  • There are lots of great alternatives. =) Soy milk, Rice milk, Almond milk, Hemp milk etc. Or just omit it all together. I am sure it will still be super yummy with a mushroom/veg broth instead. Don't forget to omit the egg for the pastry as well. :)

  • A person who doesn't eat meat AND dairy products is called a vegan.

  • Not necessarily. There are vegetarians that don't eat dairy products but are still not vegan. Being vegan is someone who does not eat or use animal bi-products at all.

  • looks so yum..making it very soon! thanks :)

  • Welcome back! hope you had a nice vacation! :D

  • OMFG where did you get that timer! I am sure it's vintage or at least hard to find...give me a brand or something...I must have one!

  • Nice :D

  • I like this :]

  • Food, food, food... Pie

    Lol! xD
