For those that are actually interested, on 9/29/06 (I believe) the Airbus A300 landed with it's nose landing gear extended but in the "Unsafe/Not Locked" position due to mechanical fault. Not exactly considered a crash but an accident and certainly not a terrorist attack.

And just by the way, the boorish behaviour and blatant racism is so very unappealing but I really didn't expect anything else from somebody with a name like @miketheredneckable: typical. You want to stereotype then I will too.

And as it's visible, the nose gear is locked down.

The after-landing smoke was caused by hard brake.

@PersianvBTheme Nose gear was down but not locked mr. "better than my ass" . And the tower have no way of knowing if it's locked or not. Just if it's down. Only the plane avionics can confirm the locking (it's not an WWII bomber you know) And they did not as You can see.

@PersianvBTheme Are You dumb or what ? Do you know the difference between "lowered" and "locked" gear ? Using binoculars (or a sniper scope for that mater) You can only see if it's lowered but it obviously was not locked. Look around youtube and You'll find many accidents like that. At first it appear as it's locked and a few seconds later it gives way.

All the same, the Pilot did an excellent job. Was in an Incicent about 19 years ago on a Tristar when an engine caught fire. Crew still went about serving Tea and Coffee, and the Pilot was totally unflappable - Landed at Kai Tak as normal.
