  • I am a Hongkonger and I'm so stuned about the vague milky view of Victoria Harboue

  • i love it how the presenter says 'perhaps visitors from mainland china'.

western media just tries to find ANY way at all to undermine china, any chance they get.

  • tibet is , was and will forever be part of China. China is gonna own at the games. fuck all protestors, who cant even find tibet on the map. fuck that long hair hippy piece of shit, god he is sooo ugly, and that sell out bitch christina chan.

  • ok, china has shit compared to the US. kobe and lebron is going to give the whole team, perhaps the entire country a raping

  • ok, china has shit compared to the US. kobe and lebron is going to give the whole team, perhaps the entire country a raping

  • chinese ppl do not protest in regards to splitting their own territory not even AMERICANS

i dont understand why she holds the flag if she wants to "free tibet"

    thats the flaw there

    i think she disgraces chinese...

  • This reporter obviously has no clue about his job, its inconceivable that a professional China correspondent would not know that the Chinese anthem does not have lyrics and cannot be sung...

  • Hey when London torch comes to China, why don't we all sabotage it! After all the poms did colonize half the world and massacred millions.

  • I would be there, man!

  • After the torch left that place where the two world wars were originated and Hilter was loved, generally speaking, it goes smoothly.

  • Hong Kong is so air polluted. Look at the background. ill.

  • All that air pollution are from factories in mainland China. I know cause I lived and stayed there before. I remember the skys in HK used to be so clear and blue when I was younger, before China's ecnonomy exploded. Now look at it...

  • haha BBC is finally getting the last their pissing vinegar out^^ hope they dont get the chance to report on the Olympics those racist nuts

  • In fact, people enjoy more freedom in Hong Kong than most of other countries. I'm living in USA and I cannot speak freedom here especially in office. If you speak something dumb (such as race and religion) in office and you will got fired immediately.

  • HK is over!!! The next generation are brain-washed. Atleast 1 out of 10 ppl. now in HK are from China! The news are filtered before broadcast. China never admit their fault, they only fight back by digging out others' mistakes like a 3 years old kid. I hope those ppl. who are really doing this from the bottom of their hearts instead of getting paid to support China to pls. wake up! Many ppl. in China are suffering and they need us to speak up for them, do you know what patriotic really mean

  • the person need to wake up is you!!! we support china because we are all chinese! i used 2 join a protest when i just came to study in hk. The HK ppl i met can sing chinese national anthum like a native mandarin speaker.

  • muffinman929: Does it do you any good to spread false information? It only ruins your own reputation. You did not go does not mean that you are typical in HK. You just feel more comfortable under British rule. What can I say? Just migrate to the UK. They welcome you very much, I am sure.

  • What are you talking about? I left HK for study before 97 and I'm not brain-washed. I'm Chinese and I have strong feeling for my home country. I support China from my heart and support Beijing Olympics. I'm still reading lots of Hong Kong news online and the news are not filtered (such as Apple newspaper). The HK news paper can still criticize China government and people can still protests against goverment.

  • you are the one who is brain washed by western media. Infact we hk ppl know exactly what is going on, our new media is much more pure than the west's. We know how the west is trying to hijack our land away. You be quiet!

  • muffinman929

     are you 5 years old???

  • They police were grabbing and taking protestors away, while the China supporting sides were the ones hitting and insulting at the protestors. Where is the freedom of speeches now in HK? I can also tell you that I live in hk. Most of my friends in HK don't even know how to sing the national anthum! So... most of the ppl. singing and supporting were actually from China. just watch the news. most of them can't even speak cantonese accurately!

  • If BBC doesn't tell you enough info. I would. The China government let more then 100000 China ppl. into HK that day to support the torch relay in hk. They were all so organize and know there stand points! The China government also sent memos to many departments and schools, etc. and told them to ware red and support the torch relay that day. Many China owned companies and schools had a day off that day, and were told to ware red and go support the relay.

  • So many people? Like who?

  • BBC must be very disappointed that there are so many people supporting China.

  • BBC,please say something approaching the turth!!!

  • bbs is my ass. what they said is as stinky as shit.

  • LOL, the reporter says people that came from Mainland came to Hong Kong to support the torch.

Seems like they are running out of negative images to report.

  • 100% support for China...go CHina goooooo!

  • Off course the BBC is bias over reports on China (same as that of CNN) and for their success in managing the Beijing Olympic. They just wanted to tarnish China with every other political issue; be that of Darfur crisis; Zimbabwean election and the downfall of the global economies. This is the result of a global cynicism of China bashing.

  • Don't be silly. Sorry the support of HK people towards the Beijing Olympics upset you.

We said Chinese people were brainwashed by Chinese government, but HK has freedom of speech, freedom of press, can you say HK people are brainwashed? No! We have to open our minds and our eyes and listen to what Chinese people and HK people said.

  • go away bbc...

  • BBC.. protesters my ass!!

the protesters are only minority.. sheesh. n haven't you noticed? MANY of the so called free-tibet westerners don't even know much about the issue, don't know WHERE tibet is, don't know the history...

SUPERB JOB HONG KONG!! I WISH I COULD BE THERE~!

and well said indeed StephenG7!! (although i actually don't want u to kick the crap outta them.. lol)

  • 我觉得他们看到这种场景很无奈,话语还在掩盖,

  • StephenG7. Exactly! Like the song " My homeland" said" We will wellcome our friends with the best wine and we will fight with the thugs with our gun!" Let's see how those hypocrite, lier and shameless moron will anti-China and anti-Chinese in the land of China.

  • All pro tibetan activist are not welcomed in Hong Kong & Macau so FUCK OFF!!!!

  • When overseas Chinese came out in thousands to support China, BBC said they were "mobilized" by the Chinese government.

Now, there are lots of Brits and Americans in Hong Kong. Can't the UK and US governments mobilize them against China by staging more protests? Or their ex-patriots have already turned against their own governments because they know that both UK and US are on the wrong side?

  • china deport those foreign protesters is bacuse chinese government don't want those ppl to get hurt, when i go to china this summer just wait till i see any1 waving a tibetan flag im gonna kick the shit off them

  • Well said StephenG7.......!

  • Kick them once more for me. Thanks.

  • BBC is talking BS again, the torch ran through 18 countries, bad things only happened in a few of them, they should say this torch realy was successful in most of the countires outside china

  • Thousand of brits on hongkong street protest beijing olympic torch relay. BBS reports from hell.

  • BBC is always regurgitating what they had said earlier. Guess they cannot find anything new against China. Anti-Chinese groups know they are losing the battle because they have no market in the orient.

A red sea of China supporters is seen everywhere in Hong Kong. Their voice convincingly drowned that came from those so-called protesters. Democracy is working.

    The majority wins.

Congratulations. Hong Kong. You are helping Western Media learn what democracy really is.

    China prevails.

  • fck BBC and Britain!

  • fuck them!

  • barking, bbc

  • Fxxk Off BBC !!

  • Hong Kong only rejected 7, not many, but few = =

This news report is so biased...as usual

  • Support Beijing 2008!!!

  • BBC can't make up anything now

  • BBC is so disappointed that there is no protesters in Hong Kong .

  • There were a few protesters in Hong Kong, they were taken away by police.
