Actually, taina533 is right -- account closed or not. I am a legal professional that deals with the issue of "citizen at birth" on a daily basis. Obama qualifies on two counts: 1) he was born in the USA; and 2) one of his parents is a US citizen. Under the code, only ONE parent needs to be a US citizen, not both. The code is very clear on this count and any suit against Obama is purely frivolous and probably a scam -- a way to get "donations." (I almost wish I'd thought of it.) Don't be fooled.
marie, yes, Obama's mother could have passed it on to him had she lived in the US for 5 years after her 14 or 15th birthday. However, she was only 18 when she had him. Thus she could not. He would be 'naturalized' if he was born in another country and came here to gain citizenship. He is a 'natural born citizen' by virtue of the 14th Amendment which grants jus soli, right of birthplace, to any child born in the US.

The citizenship issue to me is an open and shut case. He's refusing to show his birth certificate. Actually, taina533 is right -- account closed or not. I am a legal professional that deals with the issue of "citizen at birth" on a daily basis. Obama qualifies on two counts: 1) he was born in the USA; and 2) one of his parents is a US citizen. Under the code, only ONE parent needs to be a US citizen, not both. The code is very clear on this count and any suit against Obama is purely frivolous and probably a scam -- a way to get "donations." (I almost wish I'd thought of it.) Don't be fooled.

marie, yes, Obama's mother could have passed it on to him had she lived in the US for 5 years after her 14 or 15th birthday. However, she was only 18 when she had him. Thus she could not. Obama was born with dual citizenship. Regardless of where he was born, he was born with split loyalties and is not a "natural born citizen". Btw, it's Obama who is still asking for donations, not Leo Donofrio and most of the other lawyers.

He would be 'naturalized' if he was born in another country and came here to gain citizenship. He is a 'natural born citizen' by virtue of the 14th Amendment which grants jus soli, right of birthplace, to any child born in the US.

The citizenship issue to me is an open and shut case. He's refusing to show his birth certificate. Good enough reason for me to believe he's hiding the fact he's not a natural borne citizen and therefore not qualified for the office he managed to usurp. As for the medical records not being disclosed, I hear he was treated for schizophrenia and depression twice in his life. Gee, I can't imagine why he would not want to produce those medical records. First, a plain American citizen is not eligible to be president. Only a natural born citizen is eligible. Read the constitution. Means born of two citizen parents.
Second, why then has he spent between $1M and $2M on three different law firms to fight the lawsuits instead of $12 to release a certified copy of the original BC?
Only an insane person or one with something juicy to hide would do that.
So, is he insane or hiding something? Note, you can choose both! I would.

Um a senate resolution? With all due respect the constitution is far superior to any senate resolution.
I mean if the senate passed a resolution that said white people couldn't vote it would be as invalid as a senate resolution that said John McCain was a naturally born citizen.
Obama was born of one citizen parent. Why isn't that enough? This reminds me of slavery where if one had a single black ancestor they were black even if tehy had more white ancestors and looked white.

The closer you look, it looks to me that if he ISN'T Natural Born, he would have to be "naturalized". If he became naturalized he would be a citizen. For some reason he refuses to show his birth certificate and I am willing to throw out there that we MAY have had the first ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT elected to the US Presidencey.

I love how the wnd petition has only 181k signatures. That is .0006 or .06 percent .6 per thousand or six per ten thousand. (181k/300mil) So for every six people that signed this petition 9994, don't give a shit. The petition says that there is sufficient controversy within the citiznery. By your own calculations, that means that .06% of the people, care about the Constitution and what it means. If you don't fully understand it, or care to learn about it, you're not alone. Why should the people care what the constitution means or says?
The constitution derives its authority from the consent of the governed.
Here people have rejected this provision by A. casting 115million votes for constitutionally non-natural born citizens and B. not signing the WND petition. If a constitutional provision only has the support of 200k it is not a valid expression of the people's will and it is meaningless.

That clause of the constitution is completely arbitrary and outdated. Just like the part of the clause that says blacks are 3/5 a person.

more...Fukino says that no state official, including Gov. Linda Lingle, ever instructed that Obama's certificate be handled differently from any other. She says state law bars release of a certified birth certificate to anyone who does not have a tangible interest in it.

Please let me and others know where and when they said "State officials say there's no doubt Barack Obama was born in Hawaii" to qoute you as you claim?
There were different types of birth certificates available the year Obama was born; witnessed BC or claimed BC.

No. Did Obama ever take private trips to Blagojevich's bahama mansion? NO. did O ever take action to shield Rod or Rezko from criminal investigation? No. The person who did those last two things was none other than your hero John McCain.

So far, the Supreme Court denied the Donofrio case from being heard....Ok.
Someone from the State of Hawaii said all the records on file show that Obama was born in Hawaii...Ok.
Now can WE see them? Not that we have any reason to distrust our government, or anything. It's not that they've ever lied to us, or anything.
But as citizens, we have that right. And if we don't assert our rights, they get ignored.
Perhaps we need to remind Washington, that THEY'RE the public servants.

Schizo: Barack did not "publish" a birth certificate. There was a digital copy of his certificate of live birth posted on his website. The two are not the same thing nor can a digital copy of anything be considered really valid.
