Why doesn't the rescue organization arrange to sign a contract with the new owners, Ellen's hairdresser, have them sign a new contract, and let them keep it? Why take it to a shelter to suffer when it already HAS a family?!
So, they went and took this dog away to ensure its safety? i understand that...but if this situation brought Ellen to tears, isn't it obvious that she had good intentions? Also, she was able to prove the dog was happy and in a good home...Do these people have no souls?!?!

All the animal rescue groups that I know said they would have checked out the new family and let them foster the dog while everything got straightened out! Mutts and Moms have a screw loose. They got caught up in the situation because it was a Ellen, who could have adopted from anyone but picked a rescue dog. It is all so very CRAZY.
The agency DID give the hairdresser the opportunity to fill out forms that would qualify them to have this dog. They refused. Could it be that they could not qualify???? Would you also approve of an adopted baby being rejected by the person who adopted said baby and then given to someone who was not approved by the adoption agency. Same difference on a smaller plane. Furthermore, Ellen adopted the dog, not the hairdresser.

Actually I love all animals but what's right is right, I am the kind of person that likes animals over people actually, but come on - as humans, we know right from wrong and if a contract is involved than that's that... As far as animals are concerned, I dont think they are like people, they are animals and I know the pain of losing one- I just lost my cat - I had him since I was 16, Im 32 now.....

It's real simple. Never adopt a dog from these groups. Either get one from a pet shop, from a backyard breeder, or the pound. Too many of these rescuers are fanatics and they all band together to make up restrictive, and likely even illegal contracts.

First off, a pet and a baby are 2 seperate issues. We don't kill millions of babys just because we don't want them. I am not even going to explian that one to you. I think taking a pet away from a child is a serious issue. Many people treat their pets like family. And regarding the 9/10 of the law. The COPS are coming out and saying this isn't over because the made a mistake. I don't know why you conservative repulicans even bother posting. Your party is going down.

All the animal rescue groups that I know said they would have checked out the new family and let them foster the dog while everything got straightened out! Mutts and Moms have a screw loose. They got caught up in the situation because it was a Ellen, who could have adopted from anyone but picked a rescue dog. It is all so very CRAZY.

The agency DID give the hairdresser the opportunity to fill out forms that would qualify them to have this dog. They refused. Could it be that they could not qualify???? Would you also approve of an adopted baby being rejected by the person who adopted said baby and then given to someone who was not approved by the adoption agency. Same difference on a smaller plane. Furthermore, Ellen adopted the dog, not the hairdresser.
