I have a CD by the Seekers that really do a nice version of this song. But The Cyrkle's version is great. They have nice harmony. It's a simple song but pleasant, smooth and easy on the ears. I always loved the Cyrkle.
We opened for them in Boca Raton, FL in 1966 ... they were great ... playing through Fender Dual Showmen amps. One had a Danelectro 6-string/bass double neck guitar. They did a particulary good cover of I Get Around by the Beach Boys.
Brian Epstein didn't want to promote Paul Simon as a performer, because he thought Paul lacked stage presence (which, in a way is true, but Paul made a virtue of a vice), but he obviously admired Simon as a writer since he promoted his songs via Cyrkle
Ugh. This version sounds like a dirge. Totally lifeless. Props to Simon and Garfunkel.

I don't think it's tongue clicking. It sounds to me more like gentle hand clapping.

A little too upbeat for my taste, but still a very good cover. Paul Simon would be proud...

Among the most underrated bands. Reminds me much of the Association, another underrated band.

One of the most poetic songs of the Rock era, with an unerring sense of artistic expression far above the average band of that time frame.
