they did have the best seats at the back as i used mine as a bed a couple off times when i was 17 but in the summer sun fuck they would burn your legs if you fogot how hot they got with shorts on as they were plastic fantastic

Austin Maxi - known by the press as a British "Volvo" without the reliability lol... - as for owning them, I've known people who swear by them, and others who have had to swear at them...

Interestingly here in New Zealand, there is a Maxi that some-one professionally converted into a PICK-UP, complete with a fibreglass canopy!!!

if you looked after the maxi, itll look after you. there pretty quick too, many a time ive had tail-gaters and the look on there faces when the pedle gets planted is priceless!
