I believe the "Cotton Club Stomp" was written by Duke, Harry Carney and Richard Rogers.

Lena Horne spoke of the filming of this footage in her autobiography. It was also used in the American Masters documentary on her along with a few other scenes filmed at the same time.

I love at the beginning. If you look closely, you will see a very young (16 yrs) Lena Horne dancing. She is in the middle of the whole bunch!

It well may be, she was 16 while working at the "Cotton Club", hard to tell precisely from the quality of the film.

I posted" Lena in1938" when she was 21
