I'm playing a Lakland 55-01 bass, not a Fender. Did you know that not all basses are Fenders?? :P I don't know too much about the cost of Fenders, sorry. This one cost me around $850 CAD. It's worth spending around this tho.

Of course it can :) You can play any bassline on a 4 string, you just might have to play some notes an octave higher. Tim Foreman himself actually plays a 4 stringer live, not a 5.

i think i only used the low B string once in this entire song, in the second verse where there's that cool low than high part.
