  • is this S2 the version of I9100G Galaxy S II or I9100 Galaxy S II

  • idk i never liked the samsung phones but i said fuck it got the skyrocket and im very happy with ir ;-)

  • The Skyrocket is definitely laggier than the S II

  • friend is that version is availble in india. i mean to say i have s2 but there is no serch key navgation key and other key.

  • Only thing i dont like about is it.. Is tht its slippery w/o a case

  • I have the Skyrocket, and just got it Thursday. Not even a week ago. I notice it's VERY slow.

  • i work for at&t and can confirm skyrockets dont have gorilla glass and the s2 will not have lte because it simply doesnt come with a lte radio to get those signals

  • i work for at&t and no the skyrocket does NOT have gorilla galss. S II will never have an LTE radio in it which is why the skyrocket was released.

  • And there is a Skyrocket HD coming out......ridiculous!

  • So basically if you don't get the Skyrocket, the regular S2 will NEVER have 4GLTE? Or will it eventually switch over to 4GLTE as AT&T continues to improve?

  • It was att's fault to release the non lte version. They wanted the 4.3" size though.

    tmobile only has one version.

  • Samsung galaxy s2 iz better

  • this video suck

  • Skyrocket is not Gorilla Glass. It breaks easily even on carpet floor. ATT Is not allowing post the cracked screen photos on their review. No support from ATT for cracked screen. Mobile Insurance deductible is $199. Repair cost at Samsung $160.

  • @rampott the skyrocket has gorilla glass on the front, as does the galaxy s2

  • Skyrocket ftw

  • Will these phones get the 4.0 update?

  • great comparison

  • @silverdragon1s he just got done saying he has no lte service where he is at

  • testing a 3g and a lte device on wifi....

  • Both of these phones have an update. Just go to setings and go all the way down where it says software update. It improves the Wi-Fi singnial and fixes some bugs and lags.

  • I've heard on a few different reviews that the sky rocket doesn't have gorilla glass, that's why it's easier to scratch?

  • great review

  • At 6:47 you said "The Whites are definitely Whiter on the Skyrocket" but I I found everything looks whiter on the GS2. Or was that just an innocent mistake in what you Meant to say?

  • YAY =3 is awesome! (Y)

  • The screen size and processor are the only major differences. 4.3 vs 4.5 and exynos vs omap. Also the resolution is the same on both so it looks better on the original gs2 thanks to the.screen being smaller. Also the original gs2 is much better at hd videos and games with very goods graphics. So the only deciding factor is hspa+ vs Lte. Hspa gives better battery life but lte is blazing fast where i live here in tx. The only downside is there is only like 11 cities that have at&t Lte

  • Sigh..... why in the world do people CONTINUE to use Quadrant for "benchmarks"? It was optimized for Snapdragon ONE processors. That's why it keeps giving off random, off the wall results. Not only that, but I can get a minor lagfix on my Galaxy S1 and get these same scores because the I/O r/w speeds are faster with ext4. Mean anything for the processor? No. Quadrant. is. useless. #XDA

  • anyone notice same city same time different weather

  • SEEMS LIKE YOU MOVED THEM AFTER THE YOUTUBE TEST, WIFI WAS STRONGER ON TOP THEN THE BOTTOM

  • thumbs up for ray=3

  • The samsung Galaxy sII won the GPS first!!!!

  • why you fiend

  • Watched on my LG thrill

  • DOES NOT HAVE GORILLA GLASS IDIOT!!!!!!

  • @MrCorben50 ya they do!!!!!

  • Where is part 2??

  • @skittleschocolate

At the time of this video, he was in the process of testing the iPhone 4S. That's what you heard. If you look on his site, he's written some scathing articles on the iPhone.

  • just thought i'd say... this reviewer has every android phone known to man and still uses an iPhone (1:43) that's my text tone on my iPhone 4. just thought i'd throw a bomb in the room.

  • Contrast is much better on the Skyrocket... for movies and gaming... Processor should be faster on the Skyrocket as well... Just got one for .01 cents at Amazon...

  • @EddieA10

May I ask you this? The one sold on Amazon is brand new or refurbished?

  • @KatiushaVN4 Brand new.. Black Friday sale started this week for new activations...

    Link...

    wireless.amazon (dot) com/f/pennypincher/ref=tsm_1_fb_s_amzn_lv399x?t=slickdeals&tag=slickdeals

  • @EddieA10

How much for the one-time activation fee? Or is it free?

  • Comment removed

  • @KatiushaVN4 $18

  • @EddieA10 actually no the og sII is faster

  • The Skyrocket does not have Gorilla Glass. I received this information this morning from Samsung's support email

    "Thank you for your inquiry.

The Samsung Skyrocket (SGH-I727) does not feature the Gorilla glass. However, we assure you that the all components of the phone passed the Samsung quality and is tested to withstand multiple different conditions"

  • Everything great... but what is DNLA... :P

  • Why even bother with ATT LTE Verizons LTE is everywhere now, just hold off and switch, You dont NEED samsung, the Droid razr ,bionic, and the Htc LYE phone will do fine

  • Okay - so I have a question (or two) - is it me or does the Galaxy S II seem to have a bit more contrast in it's display versus the Skyrocket?

I can tell that the Skyrocket seems to be brighter however is it 'brighter' because it's a little low in contrast (compared to the Galaxy S II - particularly the 3:40 mark and 5:24 & 5:27 marks) OR is it truly brighter with the equivalent amount of contrast as the Galaxy S II?

Also - which device has the better & louder sound?

  • this comment is from my iPhone

  • @chazy4444 no one cares

  • this comment is from my skyrocket.

  • For some maybe. If you're in an LTE area with consistent connection, isn't performance going to be better anyway?

  • Kseadam8907

the ex. Processor is not compatible with LTE, that's why the Skyrocket has the Snapdragon. If you're in an lte area like me, you'd be dumb not to get the Skyrocket.

  • @dominionn09 not necessarily...i mean arent 4g speeds enough on the regular SII...do you really need 40+mbps? id pick perf > more bandwidth that id rarely saturate

  • note: Exynos is a CHIPSET and 1.2ghz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 is the PROCESSOR in galaxy s II version & Snapdragon S3 is the CHIPSET and scorpion 1.5ghz dual-core is the PROCESSOR in the sky rocket

  • It says it is 62 in oak Park and Cloudy on the Skyrocket. But it says it is 44 and sunny in Oak Park on the Galaxy s2

  • Whoa how did the gs2 get below 3000. Thats rare

  • Comment removed

  • The GS2 is a lot brighter

  • @agentjfk - no, the background is different and brighter lol

  • @kseadam8907 lol Yea, I didn't realize that until later on when he was watching the videos :D

  • @agentjfk - lol me too, i thought the GS2 was brighter at first too

  • @kseadam8907 I don't understand why they made these two phones so different...and not in a good way. Haha, Skyrocket.....maybe they should have called it sky ^_^

  • @agentjfk - well, i don't understand why Samsung just didn't wait for the 4G LTE to release the original Galaxy S II... having two of them is completely pointless

  • @kseadam8907 the exynos processor in the original att galaxy s2 doesnt support the hspa+ or LTE used in the US thats why the tmobile GS2 and this one use a qualcom chip.

  • @dgwdum Are you sure about that? Do you have the original one and what's the difference besides the home button?

  • @kseadam8907 Reminds me of apple with the 4 and the 4s.

  • @kseadam8907 Well now there is 3 of them

  • @agentjfk That is just because of the background, throughout the video you can see they are clearly the same displays at the same brightness.

  • 3:07 DNLA? It's DLNA.

  • Comment removed

  • Samsung should win.

  • S2 man

  • so im still within the 30 days....should i take my gs2 back for skyrocket?

  • @idontevenwanttomakea Do you have 4G/LTE coverage in your area? If so, then do it and if not, then keep the S2. I don't see a big difference between the two, unless you want a bit more screen real estate. I guess if I was you, then I would exchange it for the skyrocket because of the screen size.

  • @idontevenwanttomakea No u should'nt

  • GSII stayin' strong!

  • screen color differnce?
