  • @pali52 i have seen your designs and innovative use of the ferrofluid piston i am impressed! do you think you can hook up a homopolar generator on the piston rod to generate current? like the ones in those LED flashlights

  • @sandinsx Thank You, I will work on it

  • awesome stirling engine!

please explain haw moves the displacer ...

    you have a website?

  • oh! red bulls for you energy XD

  • Thank you for the post, have you tried turning it upside-down and using gravity as the 'spring' ? thanks again :)

  • If I turrn it upside-down I need a spring for the displacer, what I can not adjust, so it will be more difficult

  • I hate to burst your bubble, but ANY moving parts means you have friction. Like a match and a match box... friction.

  • This is not a Beta engine. It's a ringbom engine.

  • You are right. Although the piston and the displacer have a common centerline, it is not so called beta, because they are not in common cylinders.

You are not right, it is not a ringbom, because the displacer is not pneumatically driven by the piston, the control is a simple magnet as a piston.

  • wow awesome stirling engine. really like how you use the piston to control the dicplacer. very simple and brilliant! it would be interesting if you rapped a coil around the around the out side and used the magnet to generate electricty to.

  • hi, exellent engine, free piston engine, but , why does the displacer moves?please explain me :)

  • I think you use :

    FEROFLUIDES for piston ...

  • Yes, You are right.

I wrote it 7 months ago in a reply.

  • Looks like a standard stirling cycle external combustion (ie. stove top) engine. This motor design has been around for about 150 years. Just google stirling cycle motor.

  • Very very good!

Why not put a coil and magnet directly on the piston? No need to make a rotating generator.

  • and people think flying saucers are bs

  • very cool

  • Thanks, this will be a generator

  • This engine is phenomenal!

    How does this work?

Maybe this is a new patent? Because This is heated from under...I don't understand it ...

    Congratulations

  • Thanks!

This is a normal beta from LTD, because the displacer piston is controlled by the power piston and all they both are in the same centerline. The power piston is a magnet with ferrofluid, the displacer piston is a tin (iron). Very simple.
