Good for someone to tinker with I guess, but if you really want to make ANYTHING from video games to software that can also make you money, i'd suggest taking your hand at programming. I am in the process of learning C++ and Java, but thats by far not the only programming languages out there. Sure it takes time to learn, but if you do it right and follow through for maybe a 8-12 week learning streak ( classes are good and will make this faster usually ) you can easily make your own games.
