Well of course it's easy, these people are going to cook burgers and scrub toilets. Go watch the documentary "Two Weeks in Hell", it's about the tryouts for Special Forces. If they make it, they train for another 2 years before being able to earn the Green Beret.

@Wrips99 ya basic training from my research is a cake walk but moving into the specialized parts is the tough shit like the training to be made an army ranger is the hardest program in the army and marines ,path finder, sapper , special forces all 50x harder than basic

i just got back from Basic training and AIT. I tell u what it was tough but....not as much as you think. I had a lot of fun and made a lot of friends. The toughest thing i'd say is the dam weather. One day is raining tomorrow is hot as hell then thunderstorm next day and then next day freezing. Unpredictable weather will mess up your body temperature lol.

might i say that these training bases lost their luster. what was once getting smoked after chow till vommit is induced, is now (from what i heard from an E2 new to the unit) is aneasy walk in the park. mandatory fun days, pizza parties, and lack of respect.

And yes after chow almsot all the time we did forced hydration. (I went May-August). And we drank water to we threw up. There's a reason why the Infantry make fun of POG's and other trianing sites, cause possibly everything you mentioned is prob true. Thats why there's the army and then theres the infantry. ...pizza parties??? LMAO

@shawnster26 its freakin humid out there. take my advice, 1 canteen of water every hour on the hour. you'll understand why once you get MOSQ and deploy overseas. take combatives seriously and stretch before bed (after lights out) cuz you can get injured during grunt BCT and school

The only officer i respected was an ROTC cadet training us, but i knew he was an NCO before cause he knew what he was doing and he knew everything about deployments, i respected himn alot
