I'm sure this has been said in previous posts, but I'm pretty sure they were working in cooperation. It seems the female chased it into the bush, brought it down and left the young male to play with it for awhile. It's nature, sad and kind of funny, like seeing your cat play with a mouse that's not quite dead....the only difference is these are WILD 300+ lb lions, and that Kudo ain't no mouse.

when i was in south africa this past summer our group went to shamwari. its SO nice! we saw lions and cheetahs with a kill but didnt actually see it happen. I had impala one night, it was delicous. Ive had kudu jerky, thats good too.

that male lion is very young... and that smaller one is most likley its mum :) The big fellow may look fearsome but hes actually just a youngster and still in need of some hunting lessons from mumsies :) Once that male goes nomadic his mane will fill out and blacken and hell be the real king of the jungle.
