  • I love how she kept interrupting him. The Civil War had more to do with the violation of basic rights, followed by an illegal invasion, than it does with slavery.

  • as a member of the SCV i thank people need to get there shit straight and sadly i thank thay never will

  • West Virginia left the Confederacy because they didn't want slavery! Get your shit together woman! You think all those of coal miners in West Virginia were benefitting from slavery?

  • I guess these guys never heard of H.K. Edgerton have they...you know that black guy who walks thousands of miles in a confederate soldiers uniform and carries proudly the flag of Dixie...Why? you ask well because he and many others had black ancestors who fought for southern independence..maybe these guys really need some nonliberal washed history of their own...theyll never get it though...*sigh* Deo Vindice!!!

  • West Virginia wasn't in the confederacy lady -.-

  • @RiceBunie Yeah, but remember this is MSNBC.

None of that channels viewers know that... :D!

  • @RiceBunie Yep just an ignorant liberal

  • West Virginia!? She said that 500,000 slaves were in West Virginia during the civil war. She's only supporting his argument that the Southern states weren't the only ones who had slaves. West Virginia was a state on the Union side. Fact is though, slavery was overwhelmingly in the Southern states because of the dependence on cotton, rice, indigo, tobacco, etc. Southern states depended on agriculture way more than the North. He's also right that the South didn't invent Slavery.

  • @gvillegmcck Laughable. There weren't that many people white or black in what is now WV back then.

  • Why pick on the confederacy? Those damn yankees.

  • The only thing that i dissagree on is when he says "the result of the civil war was the end of slavery" when in fact, the south loosing the war actually was the beginning of slavery for every race we are all enslaved now to the large and monsterous federal government, which is why the south wanted independence from the union.

  • It was not the whole nation. All of New England, the entire Pacific coast, and the whole midwest except for Missouri outlawed slavery. Delaware, Maryland, and every southern state kept slavery legal. That's the difference

  • @MrPontiusPilate only because there was an agreement that slaves states could not exceed the number of non-slave states

  • @MrPontiusPilate Even Lincoln allowed states that where in the Union and states that would come back to keep slaves. Obviously it wasn't a legit reason for the war or they'd all have rejoined so they could keep their slaves. Also, way to go NBC lady... "500,000 slaves in West Virginia alone!" ... Funny since West Virginia wasn't a Confederate state... rofl

  • @MrPontiusPilate Further, he didn't say all the nation... he said "throughout the country" and he pointed out that "several" northern states had slaves... that doesn't mean the entire nation as you claim

  • that black chick needs to open her history book. THE AMERICAN FLAG FLEW 100 YEARS LONGER OVER SLAVERY THAN THE CONFEDERATE FLAG. so remember that the next time you put your hand over your heart for the Lakers game.LOL

  • Ironic how some people, including the lovely black news anchor, are prone to get emotionally agitated about the South and the Confederacy over slavery, but completely ignore slavery in other parts of the USA at that time, especially Maryland and Delaware. Willful ignorance, in part is to blame. But I think the current narrative of political correctness seeks to attempt to focus on the Confederate States as the locus of evil regarding slavery.

  • She said that there were 500,000 slaves in westvirginia. West virginia was a yankee state.

  • @dingdongditch98 President Lincoln had strong ties to influential people in that part of the state, and exercised his influence after Virginia seceded to help West Virginia break away from the larger part of Virginia, a region of a state seceding from a state. That established a dangerous precedent for the those advocating the indissolubility of the Union when their hero (LIncoln) assists in the secession of one region from a state. There were slaves in WVA, but 500K is a bit over the top!

  • @Cionaodh57 thats what the black lady said.

  • @dingdongditch98 West Virginia was initially part of Virginia, and only became a separately administered territory after seceding from Virginia with Lincoln's help, and this occurred after Virginia seceded from the Union. So, that part now known as WVA was part of Virginia, and as such was a slave-holding state. General T.J. "Stonewall" Jackson made his home in that part now known as WVA, and owned slaves. He helped some escape to the north via the underground railroad.

  • @Cionaodh57 I know it was a part of virginia. It left and joined the union. It had a lot of slaves and it was a part of the union

  • @dingdongditch98 Did you know that President Lincoln allowed West Virginia to separate or "Secede" from the state of Virginia, but he also on the other hand condemned "Secession" so in other words he was a hippocrate.

  • @finishthagame Yep i fully agreee,

  • 0:44 At that time in history no they did not have the right to be spoken for in the goverment .

Just because this lady has a fancy edjucation doesnt mean she knows whats right from wrong one day people will realizes the true meaning of the souths plans

  • @311gotcha . the south plans????

  • West Virginia=A Union State created at the outbreak of the war

  • I love the south, no matter what any black, white, unionist, etc etc etc has to say. This guy is 100% Right.

  • The bottom line: the Union Forces can be honored, but the Confederates fought against our country.

  • yeah we lost the war and we're so inferior to the north, but I guess we can just keep beating their asses in football every year, thats one thing we are better at.

  • If you believe that Southerners are a bunch of inbreds, the quality of your northern education (actually the lack thereof) is showing. You should at least come up with a factual rebuttal to what is said in the video. I'm sure that being truthful would be very difficult for a yankee, however, considering that the victors were allowed to write public school history books in their own words instead of teaching you the truth. I don't fault you. It's not your fault you were lied to.

  • @Testing456B ; might I remined U that the history books are writen by rightwing regllious crackpots from texis.

  • Comment removed

  • LOL. Sons of Confederate Veterans. Buncha inbreds.

  • Just because your black doesn't mean you know anything about slavery. Just because I am white doesn't mean I know anything about being an aristocrat. If she knew anything, she would know the south had the largest majority of wealthy businessmen and much like today the governent was trying to destroy their industry for the money that could be made from it. What it ended up doing was effecting the other 94% of non slave owners in the south, thus causing a war. Sounds EXTREMLY familiar to today.

  • @MrGOPERA ; How convaluted can U B, You should take a nap, and then U MIGHT make some sence.

  • @cya4555 Sorry your comment didn't have make any sense because it used single letters instead of words. Get an education.

  • @MrGOPERA ,,,Didn't take a nap, did you?

  • @cya4555 Get some facts before you try to start a "debate".

  • @MrGOPERA ,,, Facts?! What facts? U just make crap up and call them facts, and expect us to belive. I assume U can read, maybe u should try 2 comprehend as well.

  • I hate to post it, but it seems that if these "Sons of Confederate Veterans" types would actually take a stand- for instance, for Paula Jones or John Rocker or Duke lacrosse players- instead of arguing with black chicks on CNN, they could have an impact. maybe it's just me....

  • You speak in circles. The United States "won" their civil war amd kept slavery....and allowed it to spread just as you are pointing out about the Southern States. I dont think that you can call the Southern States "Bad" for anything that the United States Goverment is not guilty of.

  • Alexander H. Stephens "Cornerstone Speech"

"Our new government is founded upon exactly the opposite idea; its foundations are laid, its corner- stone rests, upon the great truth that the negro is not equal to the white man"

You can not pick and choose what parts of the civil war you wish you remember.

  • @Nfinity4231 Did the "Negro" have any more "Rights" when the Colonial Army won their Independence from England? It seems that the Flag of the United States Goverment kept them slaves for 87 years....and the Confederate Goverment did for four years. It also seems that the "Negro" was not "equal" in the United States eyes either,

  • @meetman57 the confederate states wanted to keep and spread slavery, while the north wanted to abolish it. Are you trying to equate the south because they only existed for 4 years? They even referred to themselves as the slave states. They biggest issues where whether or not newly administered states would be slave or free states. How can you honestly justify their actions because they only existed for 4 years compared to the 87 of the US?

  • @Nfinity4231 The North wanted to abolish it? The abolitionists repeatedly got a derisively small percentage of the vote, the Congress (with Lincoln's full support) passed the Corwin Amendment which would have protected slavery forever, West Virginia was admitted during the war as a slave state and "free" states and territories not only banned slavery, they also did their best to ban black people with full public support. Doubt it? Look up the black codes in those states.

  • West Virginia was apart of the union stupid bitch, you dont know anything about slavery, you were never a slave.

  • Fucking lying piece of shit. Secession caused the war and slavery caused secession, got that, bubba?

All of the Confederate states that issued Declarations of Secession explicitly stated that the cause of / justification for their secession was with regards to abuses of the "institution of african slavery."

  • people are going to believe what they want, but remember the history books are written by the winner. if you were not there you dont know the absolute truth.

  • How does being black make you an expert on slavery? I'm pretty sure this woman has never been a slave.

  • West Virginia was a Union state.

  • @OzzyFan87 by other white people, and by muslims as prisoners of war... no other race has went after whites with the goal of enslaving them.

  • @OzzyFan87 Any evidence to back that up? Nope thought not. Learn some history.

  • @punkmanjon Lets see.. How about during the entire time of the Roman Empire?

  • @punkmanjon Dont think you know more about history than me man..

  • @OzzyFan87 Well given I AM a professional historian I think I probably do. What do you mean about the Roman Empire? Because people from the Roman Empire were white and the people they enslaved were often white aswell. What point are you trying to make?

  • @punkmanjon You're a fucking liar, there is NO way you are a professional historian. You fucking people that get on here and try to pull some kind of false rank on others need to die. I'm just stating the fact that more white people have been enslaved than blacks.

  • @OzzyFan87 Im not lying I am a professional historian. And you are wrong more white people have not been enslaved than black people or people of different races. And as I said if you are talking about slaves in the Roman Empire then that was white people enslaving other white people. Rome is what is now modern Italy and people ther are white. So what are you talking about?

  • @punkmanjon If you were a professional historian you would have known about the indentured servants, press gangs, prison gangs and even wage slavery that goes on today. Of course people like you tend to forget that the 13th amendment (that abolished slavery) was originally sponsored by Virginia (a slave holding state) in 1857. Mind you it was killed by many of the northern states. Slaves were brought over from the 16th to the 19th centuries. Rome had slaves for 570 plus years...you do the math

  • You know I am the Great-Great-Great Grandson of a Confederate Veteran. It is really a shame when the politically correct people try to smear and destroy the history of the South and the Confederacy. It wasn't only about slavery; in fact not really at all.

  • This woman is a true ignoramus. This gentleman took her to task, god she is annoying. "I know a thing or two about WV, I went to school and I am black too". Good for you. This is a prime example of how poor the education system has become. The mere fact that you went to school does predicate answers to all questions. My great-great grandfather was Lebanese and engaged in the slave trade, therefore I trump this dumb broads limited knowledge.

  • Well its funny now that im all grown up, to live in the south and see the descendants of the confederate react to a Black President...Im sure you can imagine some of the looks and vibes you get down here but also there is a good deal of people who have understanding by excepting the past.

  • The funny thing is that the same Southerner who claims he loves America & the Constitution is the first to say it's time to secede then throw everyone he considers a traitor or a hippy in jail.

  • @jakefree24 i gave you a thumbs up, but with a caution that you not be guilty of the same stereotypes....

  • The North had slaves 129 years before the South did... the North made just as much money off of cotton as the North did... Yankees and the northern people are a bunch of lying , back stabbing , corrupt hypocrites... 90% of Blacks are on some type of Government funding... 85% of all violent crimes are committed by blacks... and with a country with only 20% blacks, 89% of the prisons are black... The South was right... Yankees and niggers are ruining this country.....

  • But the Southerners seceded to PROTECT slavery, end story.

  • Welfare is from tax, who cotributes more of that jr?

  • The joy this man has in the truth, the chip this woman has on her shoulder!

  • Slavery was not the cause of the war. It was "States Right's & Lincoln becoming President. Lincoln have no intention on setting the slaves free unless it could save the Union so please get an education or find someone that is not getting there education down at the local black church which teaches liberation instead of GOD's Word.

  • The biggest thing the Tea Party and the Confederacy have in common is they both claim their main issue is States Rights and smaller Federal Government.. and they both DENY racism is really drives them. If the Tea Partiers really cared about these issues they would have protested Bush. They need to realize they LOST the war and the election and no amount of threats and squealing will change that. We who love the UNITED States of America will not let them back in to power! God Bless America!

  • @dejahthoris

There are racist in the tea party.. I don't equate ALL T.P.'ers with racist but by gone there are enough of them for me to question why someone would willingly associate with them. I wouldn't hang around the KKK or the Panthers if I agreed slightly with the people who are in the group on political issues so why should they?

  • @dejahthoris but i dont think they want power back man...... they just want the first amendment rights.............

  • Go to China or India..thats where Reagan sent all our jobs..get real, get informed, and dont be hipocrates

  • 3/4 of govt spending is the armed forces/medicare/medicaid/social security. So all the white racist folks who want less govt, should drop their "Entitelments" and pay more taxes. asswipes. Teaparty folks are on all these programs (cept armed forces)

and u call obama socialist? or is it that only white people should get socialism? and welfare people should get off their asses and get to work. Oh right...Bush fucked this country so there is no jobs.

  • Slavery wasn't the main cause. The main cause was that the south didn't want to give up their slaves...

REally, it's very difficult to rewrite history from the last 400 years. Stop trying.

  • old dooche.

  • my son was born into this world guiltless of anything. i intend to raise him to be proud in his race, heritage, and culture; that in no way translates into racism. if people feel threatened by that then that's their problem not mine. no more tears!

  • @jjames9826 There is a problem when the racial and cultural perspective is inherently tied to the grotesque violation of humanity. The question is not of guilt, and blame, its that people tend to repeat the same mistakes over and over again. That is true with an individual, but also a people as a whole. Only by honestly coming to terms with the past can we move forward productively. That is what is so disturbing with confederate apologists, the lack of honesty and revisionist history.

  • @lorezapocalypse so when are you gonna come to terms with the present? Do you honestly think the cultural "band-aids" given to minorities haven't run their course? It's been about 40 years since segregation ended...it's always the same mantra by people like you "we've come along way, but we got a long way to go"...That long way to go you need to take yourself, because the problems in the black community are perpetuated by a bitter refusal to become accountable for their own actions.

  • @jjames9826 I'm sorry, was there a connection between what I said and your response to me just now. Are you responding to some other person's comments. I'm not sure what this mantra you quoted is, because I did not say that.

The black community? I didn't say anything about the black community. You must be responding to somebody else.

  • @lorezapocalypse yeah i guess that's a good answer.

  • @jjames9826 I mean, I've made my position clear, and you attributed ideas to me that I didn't make.

Only by coming to terms with what happened in the past can we come to terms with the present. The past is what explains the current state of affairs. That requires being honest about what happened.

I'm against lying about the past, or ignoring the past, or saying that the past wasn't important. I'm against simplifying the past to present a clean little narrative. Do you understand?

  • @lorezapocalypse i'm not a parrot.....i understood the first time. I'm telling u we, the southerners, or some white people, have come to terms with the past, and are moving on. Sorry if u blame all the problems in the black community or Africa on whites; i mean ok, once upon a time, so, does that give the black community license to not take responsibility for their own actions?

  • @jjames9826 "Sorry if u blame all the problems in the black community or Africa on whites"

You are setting up a straw man there. I am not advocating that position, and this may surprise you, but the Black community has discussed slavery and segregation at length, and I have never, ever heard that position expressed. It seems to me you are attributing these silly, juvenile ideas to the black community instead of actually hearing what they are saying.

  • @jjames9826 and let me also say, the idea: "we, the southerners, or some white people, have come to terms with the past and are moving on". The past isn't something you get over. Its not the flu. You can't undue the past. No matter what you do in life it will always be with you. So, when you say you're moving on, that is not possible, ever, for anybody. We only have the power to shape what happens now. The past will always be with us. Being an enemy of your people's history, I don't understand.

  • @jjames9826 Yeah why the heck did they enslave themselves for hundred of years? If they hadn't done that, or lynched themselves and not allowed themselves representation until the 20's or segregated themselves into inferior school systems until the late 50's, they wouldn't have all these problems. Too bad you weren't there to tell them not to do all that stuff to themselves way back when and they wouldn't have all these problems.

  • @jjames9826 does ur son have black friends?????

  • my son was born into this world guiltless of anything. i intend to raise him to be proud in his race, heritage, and culture; that in no way translates into racism. if people feel threatened by that then that's their problem not mine. no more tears!

  • my son was born into this world guiltless of anything. i intend to raise him to be proud in his race, heritage, and culture; that in no way translates into racism. if people feel threatened by that then that's their problem not mine. no more tears!

  • my son was born into this world guilt-free....i intend to raise him to be pride in his race, heritage, and culture; that in no way translates into racism...is some people feel threatened by that, then that's their problem, not mine.

  • well america, the cows have come home, and they speak more than one language. You bunch of war loosing bigots!!! and remember...Los angeles, nevada, colorado, texas, california...these are SPANISH NAMES! so start learning americas second language, you bunch of bafoons. Hispanics are 1/5th of the population of america...racist pigs!

  • @inodoropereira1000 "Texas" is not a Spanish name, it comes from the Caddo Indian word Tehas, meaning "friends." Beyond that, when you call "Americans" racist pigs, are you lumping all of the hispanics, blacks, asians, etc., into that? Or just the white Americans? Who's the racist one?

  • @JaegerrWulf I stand corrected on texas name...and I call racist pigs only those whites who think blacks r an inferior race. I get that some white minority feels threatened by Obama being president, but HEY! soon we will know who they r, and will defend OUR country against these idiots

  • well america, the cows have come home, and they speak more than one language. You bunch of war loosing bigots!!! and remember...Los angeles, nevada, colorado, texas, california...

  • white people are freaking out because they are THE MINORITY!!! get over it ANGLO SAXON minority. Hispanics will again pick Obama as president, because white people are too (well...not all white people, only america's white people) are too dumb to realize this is not their country anymore...remember what you did to the Indians in this country? the Blacks? the hispanics?

  • @inodoropereira1000 white people pay restitution every week out of their paychecks into the socialist entitlement programs. if we're the minorities, then I think it's time for us to quit our jobs & collect welfare checks.

  • @davidpark68 there are more white people on welfare than black people, that's a fact.

  • @HiGuy505 that's a misleading fact. Blacks comprise only 12 percent of the nation, but, according to figures, they comprise 37 percent of the welfare rolls. Nice try dumbass.

  • @jjames9826 that changes nothing DUMBASS, they also comprise a disproportionate number of the poor. what's misleading about it? the fact is more WHITE people spend your tax money than BLACK people. what dont you understand? man i like arguing with idiots like you, you making winning so easy. nice try fool.

  • @HiGuy505 by percent, there's way more blacks on welfare. whites pay the majority of the taxes & by percent, reap little of the benefits. BTW you suck at arguing your point. blacks make up 13% of the population, pay the least in taxes & leech the most from the social programs.LMK if you are unable to figure out how % works. to put it bluntly, if you had to live off social programs paid for by the taxes from black taxpayers you wouldn't live very long.

  • @davidpark68 my point was made perfectly fool; if you're against welfare then you should be mad at the majority of the people on it, i.e. WHITE PEOPLE. if you dont care about that then you're just racist and you're trying to spin the numbers any way you can. living off taxes from black people...hmmm...can you stay hundreds of years of slavery?

  • @HiGuy505 I guess they don't teach % in your public school, Idiot. I get along just fine with the working class of all races, it's the leeches I have problems with.

Racist is just a word democrats like to throw out there to end debate, it don't work no more. I'd be more concerned with the eugenics program the democrats are pushing off on the black population than crap that happened 200 years ago, Daddies being replaced with welfare checks & Mommies killing their babies at the clinic.

  • @davidpark68 no it's not the leeches, b/c blacks dont "leech the most" whites do. but since you dont care about that, it's clear your real problem is with blacks, not leeches. i love when racists announce the end of racism. and your stupidity about eugenics is not worth engaging.

  • @HiGuy505 u made it a race issue, and as a race issue, black people suck on welfare more than whites......period....

  • @jjames9826 right i made it an issue. i wasnt the first to bring up welfare or black people. and I LOVE how you end with a totally subjective and meaningless statement "blacks suck on wefare more than whites" even though there are MORE WHITES on welfare, but i guess somehow not sucking, or they deserve it more than black people. it's just so funny to watch racists like you and davidpark68 justify your biggotry any way you can, and get angry at those that point out the prejudice.

  • @davidpark68 mmmmhhhh...u must be against social security and medicare/medicaid, right? good...stop paying taxes towrds it! ur problem solved...u asswipe

  • @inodoropereira1000 I would love to be able to opt out of SS & all the rest of the social programs. not everyone is like you & needs to be nannied from cradle to grave. your still a pup, wait till your start earning a real paycheck. only half the country pays income taxes......the other half are democrats that leech off the government. that makes you the stink of this asswipe, without me you wouldn't exist.

  • @davidpark68 There u r...u r on a social program. And I do work, never collected any unemployment benefit either, AND have worked independently for many years. Now, my bigot friend, I exist not because of you, the trailer trash you r hates to know that there are lazy white bums as well as lazy blacks & hispanics, so really my taxes pay for u to spew hate.

  • @inodoropereira1000 I'm on a social program? last I checked the internet & youtube were corporate owned. but you right, the Gov. is taking over the internet so this is a "social program". might as well "spew my hate" before Obama bans free speach also.

  • The coming civil war, which we all can see coming has nothing to do with Racism. Yet the Libtards will claim it is about race. But it is really about Conservatism vs Libtardism ! Death to all Libtards !

  • Slavery still exists to this day. Where you may ask. Africa. Why aren't these people discussing that?

Lincoln would be a war criminal by today's standards. He allowed the execution of noncombatants and also allowed the Union army to commit acts of terrorism on civilians by burning down their homes and towns.

The south was also freeing slaves before and during the war. They were working on a plan to free slaves. It was more about sovereignty than it was about slavery.

  • Lincoln did not like black people. He said he would not want them as jurors or voters and would like to boat them all back to Africa. A portion of the Confederacy's history is abolitionist propaganda.

The civil war began over tariffs, taxes, and to much federal government control. It only became about slavery when Lincoln saw that the English may side with the south due to it's dependence on their cotton.

The south made up 30% of the nation population and were paying 80% of the federal taxes.

  • they picked him for their p.r. spokesperson? what an idiot.....

  • This woman was a slave?

  • The founding fathers made the penalties for treason extremely clear. It is well past time to be treating secessionists and those who would betray us with kid gloves.

  • @MrTouchShriek

Secession is not treason. That's just another Lincolnian lie. The Southern states which peacefully left the union did not threaten or attack the remaining states. It was Lincoln who initiated the war.

  • @MrTouchShriek You are way of base. The founding fathers believed that any community had the right to brush of government in pursuit of their own. This nation was founded by secession.

Lincoln committed treason according to our constitution.

  • Because its fucking stupid

  • JEFF DAVIS? That's his name? Ha!

  • The north WON get use to it. And we will win AGAIN and AGAIN.

  • so i guess we should omit the holocaust cause it wasn't what WW2 was fought over.

it's hard to imagine talking about world war 2 without mentioning the holocaust.

  • @deadeyes333 The argument is not the fact that slavery existed it's black history wanna-be scholars think it was the main reason and only reason for the war.

  • @freedompatriot1

and that negates deadeyes333's point.... how? If we just omitted the holocaust from let's say... the celebration of German troops in WWII... wouldn't that be a tad bit monstrous? Sure slavery wasn't the be all end all reason for the war... but, do you think that the south wanted to get rid of the slaves?

  • @LovelesEntertainment No i do not think that but you don't live in the South either, i do. I know they do not wish to even bring up slavery but when the confederate flag goes up it is their own heritage not slavery they celebrate. And they also believe that the South Will Rise Again!

  • @freedompatriot1

I -do- live in the south. Georgia south to be frank to point, doll. Don't make assumptions if you don't know the person you're speaking with. Even in the south that flag makes minorities feel uneasy. That flag is the equivalent of having a swastika around a jew. Sure, sometimes a swastika is unrelated to nazi's but, it doesn't stop it from having the background.

  • @LovelesEntertainment Then you should know not to ask! Obviously you know nothing of the South. A Southerner would not be restricting freedom of speech or the right to celebrate cultural heritage. If the South had won you wouldn't even be saying these things.

  • @freedompatriot1

Do you think life is that simple, son?

  • @LovelesEntertainment Like you said you never know who's on the other end of the screen just please move on. Find something to do like reading a book!

  • @freedompatriot1

I am not one of your average folks. I have shit too do and a small business to maintain. Watching television and reading books are for those with nothing better to do. I read when it is productive, I rest when it is beneficial... for the moment it is beneficial for me to rest.

Your arguments are those of a child who has not seen this world for what it really is. It never pays to be purposely spiteful. We must not dwell in the past.

  • @LovelesEntertainment Sounds like you've got your plate full. Image that?

  • Comment removed

  • @scooterboi17

I don't remember who you are or what I said but I can honestly say you're getting your panties in a twist over a typo.

  • @freedompatriot1 yeah...but the south didnt win..ur just remnants of the racist heritage your Mom Thought u, which of course, your Mom is also your aunt, married to your cousin, which is your dad...etc...etc...etc....see what interbreading does to people?

  • @LovelesEntertainment amen, I am in the South too and I equate the Confederate flag with the Nazi one.. they both represent murder and hate

  • that is B.S and you need to read up more on the north.

trail of tears and reservations sounds more Nazis..don't you think....killing by the 100's....that was done by the u.s government NOT the confederate government!

  • @freedompatriot1 I live in the south, I know the south, and here's the thing... you start driving, the moment you start seeing confederate flags you know what kind of people you'll find in those places. You could put it any way you want it, deny it, rationalize it, but it is there. Most of those people are ignorant bigots. I

  • @oldtownkid You & No One Else has the right to infringe on other people's right's to "Our Freedoms of Speech, Liberty & The Pursuit of Happiness". The fact that their are bigots in this world doesn't mean we should treat them any less than an a black that used to be a slave in the 1860's. Furthermore, slavery is still alive & well in other parts of the world if you had not noticed such as Africa. The U.S. is enslaving it's own people with taking over 51% of the private sector. Wonder why?

  • This country needs education reform badly. Learn how to write, go google the meaning of freedom, look it up on Webster's, read a book !!! You did not make any sense. To have an opinion about people who are morally wrong, like ignorant bigots, is not an infringement on anybody's "freedoms of speech". And, yes, I think racists are as low as child molesters and rapists, and have to be looked at and judged according to their lack of morals.

  • @oldtownkid We all down here are so glad you can form an opinion on what a racist is. We have been hearing such opinions for years so don't stop, just keep calling people racists.

  • @oldtownkid and they probably own a mess of guns too..lol

  • @oldtownkid Your statement is stereotypical. No better than racism. You assume that because someone has a confederate flag they are automatically a racist or a bigot. Pot, meet kettle.

600,000 people died in the Civil War. The war had a lot to do about many things and slavery was used as a tool to weaken the south's support. Lincoln didn't give a damn about the slaves. Slavery could have been ended without war. The Union made the first attack.

  • @oldtownkid .... and its good to know where they are...

  • @freedompatriot1 rise against who???? The US army? Marines? The souths heritage...slavery and cheap cotton...LOLOL...oh yeah...and interbreading...

  • @deadeyes333 would they let someone come on there show to say 'the Nazis weren't so bad because nobody in Great Britain or the States really liked the jews, stop picking on the Germans.' I think the host was very weak on this one. doesn't say much for Virginia schools that she could say that No, slavery wasn't everywhere, in every state in america before the war.

  • @deadeyes333 LOLOLOL...great point!

  • get an idiot and put on camera. here's one!!!

  • Why should i have do listen to black leaders, shock-jocks and the media during "Black History Month"? If it were the black confederates then it would be how great they were and all the hardships they had to endure. It's time to stop thinking just cause your black your entitled to everything including how history actually was. Lincoln never intended to set slaves free, in fact, he wanted to send them all back to Africa where they belong.

  • @freedompatriot1, Why don't you go back to Nazi Germany were you belong, Racist!

  • @wtfoof I have already been to Germany and enjoyed it greatly. I actually work for a living and don't receive government cause i am white. Having black history month, NAACP, National Black Causus and the list goes on is racist in itself. This is why blacks will always be an inferior race. Roland Martin, Al Sharpton and a host of others is why we need to study American History not Black History.

  • @freedompatriot1 sooooo...u think blacks r an inferior race? U r truly inferior then. U got beaten, and blacks will continue to beat u, because they have lived what u support. Ur just afraid of being a minority, which u really r (mind u, I'm white by your definition). Hows the inferiority card treating ya uh? and please, blacks no longer r inferior, they own guns now, so careful what u say to the nice black man now-a-days..remember apartheid? well then..

  • @freedompatriot1 My dad was really racist and my sister reacted by marrying an African American man and having some lovely children. I could happen to you too! Hee hee!! GOD Bless our troops, the UNITED States of America and the Commander in Chief President Barack Obama!

  • there are 260 million salves in the USA today.

  • I saw a program on PBS where Obama's "beer summit" friend, Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr., was attending one these Sons of the Confederacy conventions. He was interviewing an African-American family that was there honoring their Black Confederate ancestor. He was pointing out that actual history isn't always as black and white(so to speak) as we might perceive it.

  • Sigh. Some people refuse to believe they LOST the war, that slavery is over, that the war was about slavery and not about "states rights". Poor things.

I hear they are going to pass out sheets and little pointy hats around the state and the climax to the activities will be the burning of a large cross on the grounds of the statehouse in Richmond.

  • I was going to say something, but you cats said it all- didn't leave me jack-giblet to write. All excellent posts.

  • The Beverly Hillbillies is an actual portrayal how a typical redneck would behave even in today's society. I should know-I live in the South but have been wanting to move for many years.

  • Why Pick On The Confederacy?

    THE CONFEDERACY

The loose conglomeration of states that fell apart, oh, 150 YEARS AGO.

Start living in the 21st century, for chrissake.

  • "YEE-HAW, The civil war wuz all about states' rights!" (to own slaves).

How much you wanna bet this dumb fuck is card carrying member of the Tea Party?

  • Well technically slavery wasn't the main cause of the Civil War. Though I do strongly thing it was important enough to be mentioned by the Virginia Gov. And you could argue strongly that slavery was in the top 5 reasons for war.

  • @koren1124, It was the #1 reason. South Carolina seceded because Lincoln won the election. And the reason for leaving was he was an abolitionist and they new slavery would end throughout the United States.
