Mine was too, but you need to modify it.
The weakest part of hard shell cases is the rear hinge line - just one pin through the entire side. Push that wire through, and presto - instant access.

Yeah, but mine is a Samsonite Oyster case - no zips. (Although I doubt it is very secure either!)
