  • im 27 so was born to late to be around the Yes era. Rik if you ever read this.. When you played at york. you may have noticed everyone else in the croud was wearing suits. yet at the front row me and all my friends were very colourfull... we ran half way though your set from feeling out of place.. possibly it was the acid/cannabis and the surroundings and feelings of everyones eyes on our necks.

from Myself and my 6 friedns their that night. sorry to have run away half way through your set..

  • Brilliant! I will have wonderful dreams tonight.

  • Such talent

  • Lovely music by two great musicians in a wonderful symphony hall.

  • lol "should we do it again?"

  • "Can you do it again?"

    xD

  • Its never a bad thing when two people with this kind of talent sit down and play together. Always brilliant. Thanks for posting ..

  • :-)))))))))x

  • Isn't everything ????

  • yanks, wanks.

  • It kind of sounds like something out of Legend of Zelda. Sublime.

  • Amazing...

  • If you see Wakeman in concert you'll know he uses at least as many keyboards as Giltrap uses guitars - it's just that he uses them all at once!!!

  • The only song with Rick??.Please I want to see moore,It is so beautiful

  • I just found it by accident and what amazing music this is! I was blown away!

  • 2 of the greats

  • Herb soup!

  • Funny that Gordon uses all those custom-made guitars but poor Rick is happy with a standard-issue Yamaha piano.

  • I'd really like to see Jon Anderson do a cameo appearance with these two, with Gordon and Rick working through an intelligent well-though out arrangement.

  • can we do it again? wakeman is king

  • Gordon is so sexy. I'd love to suck his lips. Rick is sexy, too. I'd love to sit in his lap.

  • great artists (musicians) never lose their glory as Mr Giltrap and Mr Wakeman prove here - what a wonderful coming-together of two great talents - this puts much of today's music into very deep shade.

  • Gordon you are so underated. Happy Birthday!

  • Gordon you are so underated. Happy Birthday!

  • The FBI? OOOOH! I'm really scared!

    Fantastic video!

  • lol, the FBI warning has no legal bearing once it's uploaded onto youtube.

  • Rick has left YES 5 times in total (officially). He simply does not like to tour so much. It has destroyed at least 2 marriages and countless other personal arrangements, both professional and private...give the guy a break. YES, he is getting on in years but next to Keith Emerson among others, he is still a magician. KSR

  • Wow! Two of my favourite musicians playing together, nothing could be better.

  • stunning absolutly stunning..

  • Lovely man, sold out the Glasgow Apollo.Great box player

  • Two masters show how its done.

  • I now have two new people to add to my list of inspirational people

  • Fantastic stuff!

  • The melodies conflict each other in some bits, discuss (20 marks)

  • the warning at the end makes me want to NOT to copy this.. yes alright.

  • Fantastic and Awesome!

  • Brilliant ! The Guitar and Piano fit together so well. 2 of my favourite musicians together.

  • Great stuff ..... thanks for posting.

  • it is realy true

  • gordon giltrap is my grandad

  • it is true?

  • AMAZING!!!

  • I LOVE RICK

    Gordon is fabulous

  • If im correct. I believe these Guitars are handbuilt in my wonderful home city of Coventry. . Nice to see we are still making something here. Great work Gordon and Rick :)

  • does anyone know what kind of guitar is this?

  • Armstrong. And the tuning (I believe) is open G... DGDGBD

  • thanks so much, i always wondered what the brand of this guitar was...

  • nice song

  • no dude he realy is

  • great music

  • playing this in DADGAD?

  • That's pretty amazing!....they play together so well...!!..they definitely are in the same zone here..

    now!...I guess gordon is

  • Stunning!

  • ive met him :D

he came to our school :D

    hes fucking awesome :D:D:D:D

  • he is my uncle

  • he is spongebob

  • They complete each other. Two brilliant musicians conversing.Beautiful.

  • No words really can do this justice.

  • So flowing ... really nice

  • Wow Rick Wakeman, he left Yes about 32 times and was a pretty crazy one in his day but DAMN! He's getting old!

  • great

  • Sounds nice ... but I prefer it with Gordon doing it as guitar solo ... a lot of the intricate melody is completely drowned out by the piano ... but good effort lads! :)

  • Rumour has it that they'll be on the road together again this year (2008) and with John Ethridge as a third player (Or Ray Burley maybe)

  • you won't want to hear any other version once you did with the one with piano played by Rick.

  • this is to cool for words.

  • I was there. Rick turned up late so was not able to do any rehearsal he basically winged it...yes...winged that track...though he had obviously heard it before.

At the end he did not take a bow just clapped Gordon as he walked off the stage. The night was for Gordon and Rick was very gracious. A stunning night of superb music.

  • You are fined $250,000. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.

  • lol obviously the FBI threat isn't enough of a threat

  • hehe...

  • i love music

  • Lol @ leaving the FBI warning at the start!

  • Wow man, great stuff, so much more classy from the Metal stuff I was listening to! Thanks for posting!!

  • Wow. Just wow. That was astonishing.

  • sorry mate but this peice of music sounds magical

  • I've always thought Gordon and Rick have a kinda similar playing technique, lot's of embellishments and the like. However, in this context, I don't think it works. The piano dominates which I think Gordon probably wanted to get Rick's counterpoint across but it just doesn't seem to work for me. Rick improvises too much and it sounds cheap.

  • I saw this posting and thought WOW, however although I love both of these guys, and although their playing here is as immaculate as ever, I personally didn't like it because the piano is played too fortissimo --- chill out Rick!!!

  • Oops..I don't agree I'm afraid.I sincerely believe the combination is gorgeous.Both musicians play beautifully,I hear a conversation not a competition.Personally I adore Rick Wakeman on piano.

  • (gulp).... I'm afraid I don't agree....Rick lets Gordon do the talking as well!!!He does certainly NOT drown anything!Theis is a fabulous conversation that moves me to TEARS everytime I watch it.....

  • Two of the best in their fields playing an awesome piece immaculately.

  • Can anyone post a vid of Gordon's Heartsong??

  • I was there that night - on the front row!!!

  • Wasn't it a great night, I've got the DVD/CD, there are audience shots at the begining so you are probably on it.!

  • I was the fat specky ginger bloke who asked Gordon If I could move a chair that was blocking the view of us guys in the cheap seats!!
