im 27 so was born to late to be around the Yes era. Rik if you ever read this.. When you played at york. you may have noticed everyone else in the croud was wearing suits. yet at the front row me and all my friends were very colourfull... we ran half way though your set from feeling out of place.. possibly it was the acid/cannabis and the surroundings and feelings of everyones eyes on our necks.
from Myself and my 6 friedns their that night. sorry to have run away half way through your set..
I'd really like to see Jon Anderson do a cameo appearance with these two, with Gordon and Rick working through an intelligent well-though out arrangement.
great artists (musicians) never lose their glory as Mr Giltrap and Mr Wakeman prove here - what a wonderful coming-together of two great talents - this puts much of today's music into very deep shade.
Rick has left YES 5 times in total (officially). He simply does not like to tour so much. It has destroyed at least 2 marriages and countless other personal arrangements, both professional and private...give the guy a break. YES, he is getting on in years but next to Keith Emerson among others, he is still a magician. KSR
If im correct. I believe these Guitars are handbuilt in my wonderful home city of Coventry. . Nice to see we are still making something here. Great work Gordon and Rick :)
Sounds nice ... but I prefer it with Gordon doing it as guitar solo ... a lot of the intricate melody is completely drowned out by the piano ... but good effort lads! :)

Rick always trying to upstage. I heard quite a few mistakes in his playing like his fingers are tripping. They need to either up the pick-up gain on his guitar or tell Rick to take a chile pill and lay off the ego.
I was there. Rick turned up late so was not able to do any rehearsal he basically winged it...yes...winged that track...though he had obviously heard it before.
At the end he did not take a bow just clapped Gordon as he walked off the stage. The night was for Gordon and Rick was very gracious. A stunning night of superb music.
I've always thought Gordon and Rick have a kinda similar playing technique, lot's of embellishments and the like. However, in this context, I don't think it works. The piano dominates which I think Gordon probably wanted to get Rick's counterpoint across but it just doesn't seem to work for me. Rick improvises too much and it sounds cheap.
I saw this posting and thought WOW, however although I love both of these guys, and although their playing here is as immaculate as ever, I personally didn't like it because the piano is played too fortissimo --- chill out Rick!!!
Oops..I don't agree I'm afraid.I sincerely believe the combination is gorgeous. Both musicians play beautifully,I hear a conversation not a competition.Personally I adore Rick Wakeman on piano.
(gulp).... I'm afraid I don't agree....Rick lets Gordon do the talking as well!!!He does certainly NOT drown anything!Theis is a fabulous conversation that moves me to TEARS everytime I watch it.....

If you see Wakeman in concert you'll know he uses at least as many keyboards as Giltrap uses guitars - it's just that he uses them all at once!!!

Funny that Gordon uses all those custom-made guitars but poor Rick is happy with a standard-issue Yamaha piano.
