Mr Cully, I personally think you are one the best drummers on this planet bar none. You are a monster player and I an a big fan I have the utmost respect your great talent and skills. Thank you for sharing.
There is no metronome marking on the original published score and parts from UNC who commissioned Matt Harris to write the chart so the tempo is up to interpretation, he just wrote "Swing".
Buddy eventually played every tune in his library faster then it was originally intended and although exciting, some figures just didn't lay right faster.
A classic tune, great arrangement performed by season players, some of whom play this chart in Buddy's band.
Beautiful drumming! Great chops (I've seen you in other videos)Great sounding band (even though there was little rehearsing). I would love to get my hands on that particular chart for my band for a Buddy Rich tribute. Any idea how I could?
The tunes title is "Just In Time" and it was arranged by Matt Harris, a University Of Miami graduate and was written for Buddy Rich.
It was published by the University Of Northern Colorado Jazz Press in Greely, Colorado 80639 which is how I purchased it. I don't know if it is still in print or not. Try them and if it isn't perhaps we can work something out. By the way, I enjoyed your group, the Bond music has always been a favorite and John Barry is one of the best!
Amazing......Love it :))

I dug the tempo and it was my band.

Double the tempo?? You need to go on decaf dude. The melody would disappear at 200bpm. Not a musician obviously.

This is a great arrangement of the song, however it seems a tad slow. It's still awesome though I was just wondering.
