  • She is poor, dictating the armenian propaganda in her motherland. Armenians don't even know who Elif Safak is, dumb armenians, the world doesn't care for you.

You are worthless, you started the killing, there is no genocide, the deportations and relocations is not genocide. YOu started killing Turks first behind Russian frontlines while Turks and Russians were having a war

  • elif shafak is a poor women like orhan pamuk had been. elif always had problems with his Turkish diplomat father, orhan pamuk's at his childhood father and mother had been divorced ,orhan never had been the favourite of his mother, his brother is favourite. both had been educated in usa to get revenge from their dads.sorry but you two always gotta suck whole life, and yes not only your families-espicially your fathers-whole Turks, nation hates you. elif, orhan you are nothing, always be nothing

  • Elif is not Turk, she is lian 1590 Armenian killed Azeri turks then 1918--wow she doesnt know this??! She is a fu* who...

  • elif safak had been bought by european union. you may buy her if you have enough money.

  • No Picture here???And Turk not denying They said ..happens in the war ,,but they starting.. all i said Lotsa armenian people living in Turkey. if they are nothappy why they'restill there???

  • where is the rest of it?

  • that's it...

  • I love Elif...she should be a idol for the young people!

  • Thank you for the video !

  • @ArmenianNetwork

Ofcourse u thank for this video. You never heard of Elif Safak before in your life but when some Turk gets arrested for article 301, the first people who are interested are the armenians haha. Armenians are so obsessed with Turks, u guys are boring

  • I think this book is brilliant, Elif Safak has much courage and I was suprised how 'outspoken' this novel is. I admire her for this, At the end of the day Elif is Turkish and the character in the book is Armenian, she is simply showing how an Armenian could possibly react to their ancestors past. I personally think she is a very talented novelist and I very much enjoy reading her novels.

  • I have so much respect for her! She's someone who fights for her ideals with her pen... The Bastard of Istanbul is one of my favorite books!

    xx

  • I love Elif Shafak. The book is wonderfull I loved it too...very nice personages.... but if you read it, it is still a point of vew of a turk:)

  • since when monkeys can read???

aha i understand your zoo director wanted to start a career with u in a circus, "VaheTheGay, the reading monkey" loool

  • very smart... I am amaized by your sense of humor....WAO !!!!

  • What do you mean with, it is still a point of view of a Turk?

  • Well it is complicated.

Sublimely she blames an Armenian woman / a genocide survivor in abandoning her Turkish husband and a child and running to America with her brother. And she blames her (not openly, but sublimely) in all tragedies of that turkish family: an psichotic father and incestues son...) Still you get sublimely impression of that is all fault of that traitor Armenian woman. Very Turkish point of view

  • I really cant understand smth that if somebody is an american, s/he can talk about anything, even if they dont have an idea on the issue or about the person..

  • to the people asking ME a question about "why didn't u post this or that in your video?" well simple answer, I'm not the one interviewing Elif Shafak, ask your questions to the interviewer:)!

    yours truly,

    AFJ

  • why dont you update thıs video by the last decision of the court let me say you, you are not brave enough to tell the truth "discretion is the better part of valor." you are just cowrds

  • if I get an interview with Elif Shafak I will update this video, for now this is an INTERVIEW made a couple of months ago with her and not by me.

    yours truly,

    AFJ

  • AnythingforJustice

What happened to Safak's trial? Why don't you mention the decree of court? You don't want visitors to know that Safak wasn't sentenced because of violating 301, that her book is still sold in Turkey and she still writes? Oh and that she has become a mother in the meantime:)

  • read the comment on the top of your comment posted by me

  • soadtr

Elif Safak hicbir zaman Ermeni soykirimi oldu demedi.

  • BBC News, Istanbul

    Jan 28 2008

A Turkish court has handed down a 15-month jail term to an academic found guilty of insulting the state's founder, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.

Professor Atilla Yayla said the trial highlighted the limits on free speech and academic debate in Turkey.

His crime was to suggest in academic discussion that the early Turkish republic was not as progressive as portrayed in official books.

  • and look watch?v=mjCL865hvR4

    its only azery s genocide

  • we never kill people armanian kill me look at the archives in ur country or our country why dont u let historian for research? why answer me and look at your surname its orginaly kasab and its mean butcher ok i think u have to change ur surename

  • how disgracefully be turkish, how this people have a face even they still talk?they never look around and ask themsels,WHY WORLD HAS HADE us this much, what we did let's fine out? instead all other excuses , they try to fined , look at GREEKS ARMENIANS,ASIRYANS,PONTUS,KURTS,hey turks stop fined excuses, face your dark history and do something about,

  • elif shafak never accept so called armaien genoside! i talked with her and he never accept so called armanien genoside and its sound not elif shafaks sound. u r only lier.

  • She did recognised it in her book and mentioned that even her family friends started to hate after that!

  • Elif Safak never admitted an "Armenian genocide." Not even in her book. She doesn't claim to be an "historian" unlike Orhan Pamuk. She only wants/wanted to write about the ongoing conflict between Armenians and Turks regarding this matter.

  • Her family problems aren't because of her writings. Her father left her when she was a kid, and didn't want to have contact to her until she became a prominent author. That is why she has never used her father's surname. PS: Safak is her mother's name; it's a name, not a surname. Ther user BeautySavesWorld is lying as usual.

  • AbreckGirl, do you ocuse Shafak in that her father has left her?:) You do not have to be historian for being honest person. That what makes Elif Shafak special and alll of you angry liers.

  • LOL

  • AbrekGirl, are you mentaly retarded?

  • No person with at least an average IQ level would ask another person -whom he or she thinks is mentally retarded- if he or she is mentally retarded, as that person thought to be a person mentally retarted wouldn't be able to answer that question.

    Now take my hat:)

    Goodbye!

    PS: LOL

  • Encontrary, not answering is the best answer to that question. That is exactly what you did.(LOL)

    Now put your panties on....

    LOL ;)

  • @AbrekGirl, you obviusely didnt read the book...LOL

  • LOL

  • ne dersen de. elif şafak bu ülkeyi terk etsin.

    bunun gibiler lazım değil bize.

    melek yüzlü şeytan gibi.

  • write in english so that everyone understands what you are saying!

  • Bobac you right,Elif Safak should live turkey, because, she is human, not like you 2 feet animals, who live and destroy, turkey.thank God don't stop continue to do that!! destroy ,kill more educated people, more Christians, animals

  • I'm against Article 301, but I'm also against the House Resolution proposed by Nancy Pelosi. Though I am a Democrat, as a Turkish-American, I know no outside bureaucratic measure will bring any resolution to the dispute. I must say the photos posted along with the interview are interesting. It's a shame that ultra-partisans on both sides, including the person who posted this video, have made this an absolutely unresolvable issue.

  • woww tells alot thanx for posting

  • Great Interview.
